The Crossover with the 2012 version were better in that way of you ask, at least they act like in the original series, even the Mirage versions are different here.
Well regularly starting from here. This was the first time a Turtles series visited other Turtles universes. It was kind of a finale at the time for the last original creators as it was the last thing that Peter Laird did of the series.
