      Please react or at least listen to HOPPIPOLLA (they are srsly amazing, do listen to them). HOPPIPOLLA is a band that combines CLASSICAL MUSIC with the electric ACOUSTIC GUITAR. They were formed by the survival show 'SuperBand' and there are 4 members in it. Ha Hyun Sang - Vocalist & Guitarist, I'LL - Vocal & Keyboard, Kim Yeoungso - Guitarist & Electric Guitarist and Hong Jinho Hong - Cellist.
      They are a phenomenal band and it would be amazing if you could listen or react to 3 of their songs. Hoppipolla's 'Enough', 'LET'S' and 'Your Ocean'. The links are below>

    An interesting difference between Butter and Dynamite is how you can sing along to the chorus of Dynamite after one or two listens, while I have heard Butter maybe 200 times and I still think it’s hard to sing along to. It keeps Butter more fresh as it’s unpredictable, and hopefully it’ll take longer for me to get tired of it.

My brain kept skipping and being like "moon rocks", why are there moon rocks and why are they high? 😂😂

    The counter melody that Kevin is talking about at 3:00 and 6:20 starts with RM's verse at 2:48, is the melody from We Are Bulletproof - The Eternal. It was for Army, while he shouts out Army in the lyrics, and the 6 other members formed the letters for ARMY. If Army remembers, the counter melody sounded like this : ah~ah~ ah~ah~ ah~ ah ~ah ~ah ~ah, we were only seven, ah~ah~ah~ah~ah~ah~ah~ah but we all have you now. If you also remember during the 2020 MMA , that short clip between On and Life goes On, they played it then too.
    In Dynamite another writer wrote that lyrics so it was more like random words and phrases so it felt more poppish, RM wrote some of these lyrics that's why it caters more towards Army and more meaningful with a play on the lyrics, and references to MJ and Usher.

    for me, the point of that editing on the "gotcha" is to emphasize it, it's no longer "straight up i gotcha" it's "straight up i [[ *Got Cha* ]]", it really grabs your attention and makes it sound like he literally snuck up on you and said "gotcha!"

  • @solarianess

    yes Kevin! I feel the same way that Butter did more with less and that Dynamite was trying a little too much. I try to explain it to myself but all I get is that Dynamite they were trying to make a statement and with Butter it's more of just a song. of course it's a great song, but it's not like screaming at you?? it's just fun and that's why I enjoy it more than Dynamite even though both are amazing songs.

    The counter melody is very very very special to us, the fans ARMYs. It's the main melody of a song called We Are Bulletproof The Eternal, which is a song decicated to our mutual support and love for each other. If you see the video they are constructing ARMY with their body. RM wrote that part so he added that counter melody as a tribute to include us. It's the first time they have name called us directly in the song. So they added that part specifically when they said "Got ARMY right behind us when we say so". It's very very special. 🥺🥺🥺

    The countermelody in the final chorus reminds me of a melody line in We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal and it made me emotional 😅

    I think that the main difference between Butter and Dynamite for me is that Dynamite was BTS’s first attempt at an English song, they had to play it super safe, so they didn’t even participate in writing it.
    Wheres Butter has so much more BTS in it - the rap, the dance break, the truly chill and playful vibes... RM also participated in writing and BigHit producers in producing. It’s of course nothing that risky, they still have to play it kinda safe, but after Dynamite’s success they could do a little more with Butter.

    • @hankakah4180
      @hankakah4180 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dynamite was written for them, they pretty much sang it as they got it. Just a mixed salad of phrases and unrelated context, ping pong, king kong.
      Butter has references that tie in to other references, Smooth like butter, smooth criminal was the MJ reference, Usher, and his songs. RM wrote some of the lyrics so there are references to Army, so this is a song written for them by them, whereas Dynamite was just someone else's words.
      I look at it this way, Dynamite - like how many other artists make music, they have a songwriter write songs for them, Butter where BTS has a hand in it's creation. You can buy a cake, or you can make a cake, which one is more satisfactory and appreciative?

  • @kswillis3854
    @kswillis3854 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is heads over Dynamite imo because of the authenticity, and honesty with true BTS integrity. Dynamite wasn't written by BTS, but this song has obvious BTS influence. This is a top down wind in your face on a sunny summer day. Can't help but smile at all the 80's references. A playful flex on their talent and the devotion of ARMY. Great job, stay well

    Hang it up. This song is flawless, nothing but perfection. BTS is #1 in the world , leave the reactions to others. We don't need haters, and that's exactly what you sound like.

    I love the beat of the beat of this as it gives me queen vibes.
    It's so so cute and such a beautiful song and it's also got that sexy vibe to it aswell.
    I couldn't stop smiling at it as the song is so catchy and I now have the chorus stuck in my head.
    The vocals are amazing and the raps omg I love then so much.
    And omg the styles are amazing they look amazing in what wver they wear.
    The MV itself is amazing as ever and the choreo is on point like always.
    I literally have no words how I'm feeling right now but all I know is this entire MV and song is making me smile and feel so happy. Also Yoongi, Jin (my ult bias wreckers) and Jimin (my ult bias) just stole my heart in this song and MV.
    Let's "Get it, Let it roll"

    I'm glad they didn't have a key change this time, it felt a little too commercial-ly for my taste in Dynamite.
    I also really like that it doesn't start with the chorus like Dynamite did. One less chorus, makes you more likely (in my opinion) to want to listen to the song again. And also Dynamite felt a bit repetitive by the last chorus.
    Another big difference to me was the lyrics. It wasn't just words like "cup of milk... king kong... ding dong... ping pong", it was all puns and double entendres, and had more intent and purpose.
