Superman causally asks scientists to borrow the world's most expensive, heaviest, largest, and longest scientific instrument ever made by man, and he and Wonder Woman lift it up into outer space while Green Lantern holds it together as to not accidently destroy the Earth while using it to help send home 6 teenagers with attitude!

He could go insane trying to make it, even if he limited himself to only doing prime universe comics.
The whole racism thing is completely untrue, anyway. Thuy Trang was cast as the Yellow Ranger because the actress who was supposed to play her (Audri DuBois) left over salary disputes, and Walter Jones CHOSE to play the Black Ranger because he liked its outfit the best.
Yeah and by the time they kind of realized the implications it was too late to change it so they just went with it anyway. And as a kid I never even noticed it. It was only later I was like oh yeah.
Just because it was unintentional doesn't mean that it couldn't still be referenced.
Personally I just think that Trini pulled off the look really well. It was cool, so they went with it

@Caleb Mayfield Well,depending on whether you read the Christopher Marlowe version("The Tragical History of Dr. Faustus",yes the Captain America villain was indeed named after that play)or the more well-known Johann Goethe version(Simply entitled "Faust"),Mephistopholes is either The Devil or a really high-ranking minion of The Devil.Also,Mephisto was originally supposed to be the legit Satan but Christian soccer moms were not okay with that so it was retconned to be more ambiguous whom,if anyone of the multiple demon lords in the MARVEL Universe,was actually the Biblical Satan.
It's a weirder crossover than that...

Is anyone else in awe of Alpha Five's interactions with Brainiac? Two intelligent machines with completely opposite views, yet Brainiac wants to keep him because he's the closest thing to a friend he might have. This is why I love crossovers, to see the new possibilities made by similar yet alien characters interacting.

I remember when this comic was coming out. I tweeted out that panel of "Batman! Get in the Mastodon!" and the writer, Tom Taylor, responded happily to it (I didn't tag him or anything he just happened to find my tweet of it).
If Injustice 3 happens, the Power Rangers should be in it so Zack could say that line to Batman and before they fight.

I feel like the reason the Justice League don't really have emotional arcs or anything is because the whole situation is fairly normal for them. There's nothing the Power Rangers universe has that they haven't seen twenty times already.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't get your hopes up, I heard Toei's very strict about Power Rangers and Super Sentai not getting animated adaptations.
Video games are different, before anyone brings those up.
Does Toei actually have any authority over the Power Rangers franchise? I thought the rights to them and the Super Sentai rights were two different things, at least when it comes solely to the Power Rangers IP being used for something without the Sentai footage (like the movies, comics, games, etc.). If an animated movie were proposed, I think it would just need Hasbro's greenlight to happen.
@@mr_lrb6879 Well, given the Power Rangers and Super Sentai series are basically one and the same, Toei would probably be included in any consultations, especially if they have any intent to show the film in Japan at all _(as was the case with the 2017 Power Rangers reboot)._ And I'm not sure how much sway Hasbro would have in the conversation since DC has its own in-house animation studio that would probably be used for the project, and they would probably end up using the voices of the actors from the 2017 Saban reboot to reprise their roles here, in the event of an animated film feature... not really sure where Hasbro gets their foot in the door.

@@ZeroGForce That doesn't seem likely with the race switches they did with the characters in the 2017 movie.More likely they call in the original MMPR cast sans the late Truhy Trang(sp) to do the voiceover since it might actually be a decent paycheck for them for once since WB would be in charge.

Honestly, I'm just expecting the same kind of evil Alpha did in "The Wedding" even with Brainac's involvement.
Alpha 5 growing giant size is one of the BEST things in this comic, along with Zach saying: "Batman! Get in the Mastadon!"

Alpha 5 has learned more about human philosophies than I could have in my college days.
Realizing this was written by the same guy who did the Injustice comics, the Boxing Glove Arrow joke/call back makes a lot more sense.
Would have been funny if Alpha's little logic bomb had temporarily fried Brainiac. I mean, he did just give him valid reasoning to question his own methods and sapience. Figured it would at least make him think, especially given its a fellow machine, and not a squishy saying that.
that would be funny but also would've been too easy. Brainiac is not Joshua or WOPR as its known in wargames, he is stubborn robot incapable of changing.
And when Brainiac is destroyed, Alpha 5 says, "Who's weak now, BITCH!"

kinda sad megaforce didn't at least tried to have bulk working in the juice bar of that seaosn. it would have been interesting haaving bulk as a "pseudo mentor" and saying tall tales that were actually ture like how he was among thsoe who went to terra venture

Let Samurai have more time to actually develop their characters and them the anniversary season would have more parallels to Mighty Morphin in a way that would feel natural (Bulk could've even be the science teacher at the school instead of the bland old guy they DID have. His time with Professor Phenomenus show's he's got a mind for science after all)

A long while back in the 90s, I actually had "theme songs" for
the DC action figures (from the cartoons) that I had.
I would sing them whenever I was controlling one of the heroes in a battle.
Long story short, I actually did use this "bastardized" version of Green Ranger's theme song for John Stewart Green Lantern.
(just the first two lines, anyway. I was not nearly as clever as you.)

Speaking of He-Man and the Thundercats, Superman has actually met

As someone who has never watched or cared to watch Power Rangers, I still found Alpha Five’s points very well spoken. That’s just good solid writing.

One of my favorite scenes in the comic was when they get the Hadron Collider and how the rangers are surprised that they could just ask to use it. Then it has a panel where Batman says he could ask for it himself and how glum he looks. Intentional or not, I find it hilarious.
Superman: Hey, can me and a friend barrow the hadron collider to open a portal to a parallel universe??
Scientist: Sure. The keys are on the table behind you. Oh, and thanks for cleaning the Roswell UFO. You could've just left it at the door when you were done.

Given that the helmet is in the trophy room I gotta imagine in this continuity Jason Todd is truly a villain..... as it should given he is a murderous vigilante and as Linkara has pointed out on other videos it doesn't make sense for him to still be part of the Batman Family.

Everyone is used to great potential.
And Alpha 5 gets a few moments to shine.

So I had a bit of a crappy start to my day and boy oh boy was this an episode I needed.
Everything from the multiple Power Rangers related jokes to the “SUPERMAN! Air traffic controller!” joke cracked me right up.

It's legit hard to find an actual bad comic in the Boom series of PR comics. They're all extremely well written.
KairiHawk, if only they would do more with the later seasons. hopefully the time force one is the start of that.
Tom Taylor can be very uneven, but books like this let him really show that when he nails it, he absolutely, positively just GETS these characters.

I know a lot about the latest storylines in comics because of people on TH-cam like you Lewis. I'm a big fan of you, Comicstorian, Comics Explained and Comic Book VS The World.
All of you give me the chance to know about old and new stories from my favorite series and even inspire/influence my own ideas for my own stories.
I've been a subscriber for a few years and hope that this year goes well for you and everyone else.

@@L1701 To be fair, though Marvel is not far behind these days. Both companies are putting out weak sauce.
What I liked was that this crossover didn't make one team look weak to make the other look better by comparison. Both teams got to show readers why they deserve to be read. It was the best Justice League story I have seen in ages. Despite Batman being OP in neutralizing a fully armored and powered up Ranger.

17:16 - I'm pretty sure Jason was given Red Hood's stuff as reference to Red Hood being Jason Todd so a cute shout out to the Jasons of the differing universes.
I'm not even that big of a Power Rangers fan but this crossover was awesome. Alpha verbally smacking down Brainiac was cool enough, but him growing and punching a monster in the face caused me to ascend to some kind of nirvana. Kinda wish it didn't have the cliffhanger ending, though.

It wasnt even just villains as we saw from the rangers using gear from Hawkwoman, green arrow, Red hood

That's true and even if that wasn't the case, in-canon Trini practises Kung Fu. Some Kung Fu styles include weapons training (including the dao which is close enough in shape to the katana). It's entirely plausible she has some skill with swords.

still i wish the comcis focused more on teams ASIDE of the MMPR team. only "Beyond the Grid" did it (by the way Heckyl becoming the dark ranger is canon to me for tv continuity with tyler's dad inheriting the silver rnager powers (as reference to sentai) and chase's girlfriend inheritng the aqua power ranger powers and ejoying a lot travelling to space with the plesiozord).
AND that arc just went on its own direction witht he "residue" rangers who were left as "echoes" after the multiverse reboot but got frustrating because i bawas abrely invested in the "pirates from the space attackign them"
