I think that with a proper upgrade to detiny's infrastructure they could maybe do more 12 man activities. So this is a nice mixup of what we are usually used to
@@oxsila I see you weren't around the last time we managed to cram 12 players in an instance back in Season of the Chosen. Destiny's networking and engine really struggle to handle that many players even in "normal" encounters like shoving 12 people into Taniks. And yeah, 2 players crashed out of my lobby, one guy's div magically stopped working, barrier champs were drifting out of their bubbles like it was Initial D, and I lost the ability to sprint partway through. It was buggy as hell. Great fun still though.
This looks so fun. You definitely get an escalating damage bonus as the phases go - I think it HAS to be a 3phase, and the 3rd phase lasts until you kill him. But look at how much they did in phase 3 it was over half its health. You just have to get to that phase basically and survive until then.
So i did this with randoms. If you know how it works, its well doable. The hardest part is the first plate because you get shot by mobs from all 3 plates and Overloads keep coming into your group. Champions keep spawning and you can collect up to 20 Revives. So after you are done with the first part, the second is actually easier. Kill the 2 big tormentors from the middle and dont ever leave it. Collect 20 revives during the process before dps. Collect the 16 light. first 2 dps phases are not that important, use them to get used to the beam dodging. Stay in the back middle and watch either his left or right hand coming to the plate, the beam goes diagonally from that. wait until the beam is gone, then run to the spot where the beam was, and its safe.
Agreed. I think this is how they can slowly transition the game into a more authentic MMO experience in some ways. Massive raids and slower gameplay. Will be interesting to see if it moves in that direction. I’m happy to see they are trying new things. This feels like the first time they have really made the game feel significantly different than the perma ad kill gameplay which don’t get me wrong is fun, but seeing them try something new is cool.
Going full-MMO in any way that requires actual comms will 100% tank the game. Destiny has allowed solo play for so long that moving away from that will drive players away, not change their playstyle. Maybe if they do a Destiny 3 they can build it with that expectation. But Destiny 2? A mintory of players engage with group content, forcing it will kill the game.
@@samocken340 I wouldn't mind seeing 12-man super raids be a thing. Instead of having to figure out mechanics, they're told to you and the hard part is dealing with the amount of spam that gets thrown at you. It's what Onslaught should've been.

We did it in about 40 mins, had max rezzes by the mid to end of the first room, lost a couple during dps. But absolutely slaughtered it.

Now do it in the in game LfG. With no comms ☠️☠️
One of the best worst ideas bungie's ever done
20:30 "It's June you can't do that" LMFAO
I'm now convinced that when Gojo hits you with his Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void, he just downloads this video straight into your brain, the amount of things happening are incomprehensible
Hear me out. This is a missed opportunity. So back in Destiny 1 I did this in control. All bubbles. I’m sure there are some that remember doing a bubble train
This activity is either '4 amazing GM teams snowball the entire activity' or '12 scurrying rats guardian down very quickly and leave'
Yesterday, my first 2 LFGs were the latter.
This morning
I ascended to godhood, coordinating about 9 players while 2 others also gave callouts, we each focused on coordinating a right-mid-left sweep for both rooms, I kept an eye on hands and champs and when the bubble was deemed dangerous, Strato kept an eye on tormentors, subjugators and yellow bars, Calx coordinated dps and helping the weaker links stay alive.
We did it in about 40 mins, had max rezzes by the mid to end of the first room, lost a couple during dps. But absolutely slaughtered it.
This sounds majestic to watch. You either crash and burn within a matter of seconds, or your team moves like one cohesive unit and plays like one as well.
Danielle's laugh is contagious. Can't help but laugh... everytime.
Your screen turned into a D1 Hardlight simulator.
I'm beginning to think they might be pushing the engine a bit here lol
This looks like the most chaotic fun Bungie has ever made
It has truly been a long time since I have seen 12 guardians all camping in 1 well 😂
This is probably the best thing they have ever added to the game. It’s all chaos and absolutely fun.
this is the funniest thing I've seen in Destiny in AGES!
I tried to do the normal version in my ps4 and in some point It was so low in fps cause so many effects that my game crash
Doing with with a full lfg team was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in destiny, an absolute clusterfuck
"why does he keep going after Saint?? its june you cant do that" dead bro
Bungie is finally giving players what they want.
We got an all-subclass subclass, weapon sunrising, a hard raid, and this nonsense. Bugies cool uncle is here
Raid isn’t hard at all
And the only way to beat it on contest was 5 hunters
Except if you play solo because you prefer to. Then Bungie said 'we don't care about you, get friends'.
This game is MMO based, this game would suck if bungie listened to the loud and obnoxious solo crowd
@@ravenknight7198 Lol. An 'MMO based' game where you could attempt literally everything before this DLC solo except Raids, and they had special emblems and triumphs for completing things solo.
That barrier champ at 3:21 embarrassed Datto by deflecting his last axe throw lol I know why Danielle was dying in laughter
This is amazing. Chaos, bugs and jank included. This type of chaos is what destiny is about glad they aren't scared of technical difficulties and willing to try stuff like this anyways.
25:28 the witness deadass sounded like Richtofen in heaven from Black Ops Zombies
We won’t be able to assemble a squad till Friday but that looks sick asf lmao
After Watching Eso SOLO this mess seeing it from math class perspective is amazing yall are insane i love it
3:02 fireteam member snorts the same crack the developers were on
You don't snort crack, you smoke it.
@@prodbyANT exposed
If that isn’t the face of someone having fun, I don’t know what is
Tormentors with the same amount of hp as a fucking strike boss will never not be funny
the amount of lag that was happening was insane, my frames dropped from 165 to 65 within seconds, and everything was teleporting around the map, even the tormentors which was terrifying
If there ever was a time for bubble, this seems like it would be the one
Man, Saint-14 must have the most powerful Bubble in history.
When I did this in LFG, I basically stayed on the floor when everyone did DPS coz i didn't want kick to orbit to happen. This activity is crazy on LFG.
this literally reminds me of WOW... I LOVE IT!
3:20 That axe left orbit
The old Datto challenge videos should come back for this mode
i like the MMO type shit, soon enough we’ll have a WoW type raid with 37 people
Was so happy that the LFG I ran this with was competent, but halfway through fighting the witness it felt like all of us were crashing out
