Bk LinDz tbh I have the exact same opinion and I'll tell you what happened to me. I've daily-driven a (euro) e36 m3 3.2 (s50b32) where I live, I've outran every car and even a lot of bikes that tried, without effort. 911 turbo and c7 rs6 in a straight line, that took effort. Nothing impressed me more than this guy at the traffic lights in his modded n/a s2000 keeping up with me, side by side over a big roundabout through 1st, 2nd while exiting in a chicane-like (3rd) right. I took the nose lengt while exiting but the thing that suprised me was, I was actually really going for it. Edit; like my life was depending of it. And the s2000 had the outter lane at first.
It was said many times that s2000 is monster on roads like this with a lot of corners where you just cant step up on the full throttle and use all horses in engine + this guys has some skills to be right on the limit where the car is handling best.
Its nice seeing someone who knows how to drive a mountain road, you have to find the grip not run a racing line very similar to running on a wet race track
More intense than any blockbuster movie. Must have been annoying to have his buddies in the way, but that made for one hell of a cinematic run. And the music was perfect too. Talented driving, talented editing... Can't believe this only has the views that it has.
+Highway Dash Thank you sir! It would have more views if I was willing to publicly post it up and promote it but no need. I am not in it for the views.
***** Not out there for popularity, I like that. I'm still amazed at how the "civilians" tend to get out of the way on America's touges. Or maybe we just don't get to see when they don't, because it wouldn't be fun to watch. Still, here in France nobody ever gets out of the way, no matter how slow they drive.
Something about this video is very satisfying to watch. Seeing these BMW M Models (M2, M3, M4, etc.) in the hands of the right driver is being pushed to its limits in these Touge Runs. Despite the M3's setback such as its heavy weight distribution, the M3 driver is making great use of his brakes at the corner entry around those tight hairpin corners and knew the racing line in these roads too. Much respect to the F80 M3 Driver for putting the car into good use.
Bimmerhead reporting in, great driving. The camera angle is top notch, gives a good sense of speed. As well as the editing and music, not intrusive. I'd say the F80 driver did okay with ~3400 lbs and ~$80,000 to throw around. If the s2k was a true coupe I would have bought one, they are awesome cars, I just can't get past the convertible hard or soft.
Your videos are awesome I enjoy watching them considering I'm stationed overseas and miss driving a lot! Just food for thought it would be really interesting if you had foot work footage to add to your videos. Keep up the awesome work!
Awesome. Still kinda prefer the old camera angle where you mount it behind the dash instead of a pov angle. Maybe you can switch around once in awhile! Great video and awesome s2k you have there man!
I saw a previous video and didn't realize you're local. Haven't seen your car around just yet, though. I just experienced the 9 a few weeks back but usually stick to 35 and others around Alice's. I was about to ask if you run into any wildlife then the deer(?) slow-mo popped up. Nice driving! Hope the cops stay off your back. Do you have a build thread somewhere?
Do you drive with VSA off? I haven't driven an ap2 hard before so I don't know how intrusive the traction control system is on s2ks. Also, enjoying that radiohead in the background haha.
what tires are you running sir. I feel like that M is running on a summer tire like a Michellin pilot and you may be running something a lot more sticky... just wondering.
Yeah everyone is different. I find I can focus better in the dark since it takes away all the distractions. Can also make it easier to see if there is any traffic around blind corners and things and through the trees. And animals eyeballs also glow in the dark. :) I like the cheat my headlights up just a little bit to get a little better range as well. I also tend to learn a road in the day time at a slower pace.
Im a bit confused on your "Line" you seem to stay in your lane yet in other areas your back and forth between both. If you are running lines why dont you use full road if you have it closed off or are you just confident in areas that you can cut lanes if its not closed off?
That has to be one of the most constructive feedback's i have ever gotten back from fellow you-tuber, exactly what tools are you referring to? i reckon i will begin to shoot video of me and my s2k very shortly and would love some advice from a veteran like yourself. (P.S. Sorry for the overdue response, i just got the notification today for some reason which is unkown)
o_O S2000 I said I was fairly sure the driver of the F80 or "tank" as referred to by another comment was pumping to avoid over heating his brakes as its a heavy car and he was driving it hard? Did I make a incorrect assumption or offend you somehow? lol
+Paul Gannon I use a GoPro Hero3, mounted to the front of my head/helmet using a head strap. Audio recorded with an external sound recorder. Editing and color correction done in Final Cut Pro X.
RB26 likeaboss No its smiles per hour or SPH which equates to whatever the speed limit is but because its in SPH it makes you feel like hes going faster.
Thanks for the videos! I enjoy watching them very much. I was just wondering, since you push you car so much, what kind of routine maintenance do you do? How many miles do you have on your S, and have you had to replace anything major? Thanks, from your SoCal S2k Bro
***** Haha, yeah brakes and tires don't last very long when you're running that hard. What kind of motor oil do you recommend? I just made the change from 10-30 Mobile 1 to 5-40 Motul and I'm not sure if I really like the 5-40. I'm considering switching back to 10-30.
Your real enemy would be a Renault Clio/Megane Rs on those roads I think. I would'nt believe it aswell but it'll turn out true if the driver knows how to follow through. I knight you Stig Fujiwara.
Pity he stopped posting these vids. POVs are trending hard now and this guy is an OG. This exact type of content is massively popular in 2023.....
TsuchiFD does similar content
The weight disadvantage is huge in canyon driving. S2000 is a beast (as well as the driver), but that M3 was no joke. Dude killed it.
+Casey Lockwood Yes indeed. Great driving with him.
I'm a die hard M3 fan but the S2000 is a very underrated machine and I have much respect for it. Great driving skills man

Daavid Ceé It's lightweight, outstandingly balanced and highly potential.
The s2000 is not underrated lol
Man just watching you drive your S gets me pumped up.
lmfao! i was not excepting that.

but he's using both hands.
I know the reference 👌

Like how you commentate on this video. Plan to do it for future ones?
Amazing video! the music and text were a great touch. That deer scare at the end must have been terrifying
You guys are different breed of street racers who knows wht they are doing in a mountain pass without harming other ppl on the road
The surface looks good on this road, and shiny yellow line is a plus
Playing eurobeat while watching this is great.
Your deserve much more subscribers!
Agreed

He knows this road very very well

All things aside I like the production.
Haha. It's good stuff. Good driving and great roads.

awesome 2 machines
You ever get scared an animal will try to run across the road
Like a boss! Keep it up! 👍
fucking amazing, very nice driving man, can't wait to get back down there, blown the front shocks in the DC5 =[
Great video!

Yo where in the world are these roads?

no videos since 3 years
@@SwissMarksman 5 years😢
music used in the beginning?
still using the gopro hero 3?
I would’ve died at 7:55 😂😂😂😂😂
Great driving friend. As an s2000 driver, what are your thoughts on the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ? I plan on getting one soon
True the FA20 N/A does need a little bit more juice, which is why at some point Ill boost it haha
Have you drivin ortega hwy? (hwy 74)

What tires are you running on?
I wish my eyes would be good enough in the dark to do this.
+thee Mitchi Practice is the only way.
not sure how new your car is but good headlights are a night and day difference
Even with good headlights I'm quite blind; guess that's just how it is for me in the dark.

What tires and size do you recommend for best grip? I'm thinking about trying 255's. (Staying within my limits of course.)
Im a bit confused on your "Line" you seem to stay in your lane yet in other areas your back and forth between both. If you are running lines why dont you use full road if you have it closed off or are you just confident in areas that you can cut lanes if its not closed off?
Cut where you can see its clear.
What cAmera is that?! Nice video man

I want to know too, i got so much noise from night shooting from my hero 3.
What mods have you got in the S2000? Is the engine stock?
When is the next video being release? lol
+S2K HECZ Definitely sometime in 2016
+o_O S2000 I can't wait bro🙌🏽 keep up the awesome work! ,, are you going to the dragon this year??
Racing with the ac on? Is that okay?
the ac isn't on?
is his flashing taillights under hard braking some kind of safety feature? or is he pumping?
danjee definitely pumping to avoid overheating the breaks in the tank.
+Collin Robbin lol excuse me? 🤔
o_O S2000 I said I was fairly sure the driver of the F80 or "tank" as referred to by another comment was pumping to avoid over heating his brakes as its a heavy car and he was driving it hard? Did I make a incorrect assumption or offend you somehow? lol
o_O S2000 or he was cadence braking to regain grip through the turns?
+Collin Robbin the brake lights just flash under threshold braking
What's the name of the first beat?
From a set by Gaslamp Killer. Might not be able to easily track it down.
o_O S2000 what is the setup on your car?
Whats that hangin on your mirror ?
air freshener
Sigh, 10:57 is my life on a weekly basis. I can't stand those animals.
The thing i didn't realize is both the deer and that he was going almost 200 khp
Can u still run this touge like it was 3 years ago?
yea you can
song name? sounds a lot like "shred you to bits" but no
yeup, just scrolled through everything on spotify and apple music
seen its like various parts of "i spit on your grave and mess with your head" but is the bit @ 10:45 also from that same set?
How do you have your camera mounted?
+Paul Gannon I use a GoPro Hero3, mounted to the front of my head/helmet using a head strap. Audio recorded with an external sound recorder. Editing and color correction done in Final Cut Pro X.
Nice, I wanted to do the same set up for my upcoming dragon event in June. Love the videos!
DAYUMMMM!!!
Awesome vid. I wish my s2k could handle like this. Just wondering what kind of suspension, wheels and tires are you running??
are those in mph or kmh?
nevermind.. realized ur 2nd gear maxed at around 60. so it's mph hahahhaha

Agreed.
Turn off the fan/heater when you're doing a run.
No? 🤷♂️
Lol.. It's just a suggestion. It puts a lot of strain on the blower motor.
