I got really interested in "colors of noise" a few weeks back, and ended up making this video. 🤓I'm not sure how folks will like this niche content, but explainers gotta explain! More fundamentals of sound synthesis and MIDI here: th-cam.com/play/PL7w4cOVVxL6HWGokiABmiZnssYQjo_UFd.html
Great video. As a noise aficionado i can't say it was new to me but there's a lotta people out there who need to see this. I'm fond of deep red noise late at night to mask traffic sounds where i currently live (haven't lived near traffic other than two years since 1988!). I have folders full of "noise" that i use with Absynth and Alchemy v1. Built all kinds of noise cirquits years ago. Love using it in control voltage (now called modulation :>) applications. I liked the "analogy", "metaphor" and "not a real video" overlays. Oh, and hot pink noise, yum!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing your experiences! 🙏 Very cool to hear about your building of noise circuits particularly. I haven't had the time to explore that stuff in creative electronics, but perhaps that's a good goal for 2025. 😅
ohhh, nice, I didn't know that pink noise changes by 3db per octave and red/brown noise by 6db... cool insight into the many other noises there are. great stuff

You’ve outdone yourself this time.
Thank you! You are most certainly too kind!
Brovo for setting the record straight about "Brown". Lots of "pros" don't know about it
I’ve learned it first as Brown Noise because of LPX Alchemy, That have a cool selection of noises
Analogy!

Thanks for watching! Glad to hear it was helpful!!
This whole color thing with "noise", is so inane.
Maybe, but i quite like it, just wish more people actually knew brown noise from dog crap. Perhaps if more people watch this video...
