These are all St. Louis foods. Toasted ravioli is incredible. St. Louis style pizza is either love it or hate it. And, gooey butter cake should be popular outside of St. Louis. I don't know why it isn't.
Some thoughts from a Missourian upon watching: --These people are acting like they've never even *seen any* barbecue before, from anywhere in the world. --Of course they like toasted ravioli. The only people who have ever hated on toasted ravioli are Gawker/Deadspin/Jezebel writers who were trying to troll their boss who's from St. Louis. --Red Hot Riplets are a signature food of ours? They're just spicy chips; I'm pretty sure Frito-Lay makes a spicy chip too. (They're also gross as hell, & I only ever see them as that thing in the bottom row of the vending machine that no one ever buys.) --The rest of the country using Imo's as the sole example of St. Louis pizza is like using the Apple I as the sole example of personal computers; yes, it was the original & it's well-made, but the formula has been improved upon by others since then. --Mmmmmm, gooey butter cake. Once again, only the JezeGawkSpin writers have anything negative to say there.
Okay Im from Missouri, lived here my whole life all this food was from the st.Louis area. Ribs are the same everywhere in Missouri but why didnt we feed the Cashew chicken from Springfield mo.
I grew up in the St Louis area (and actually, all of this food is more of a St Louis thing than a Missouri thing) and I've lived in Long Beach, CA for the past 10 years. This is hilarious! These are all the foods I seek out when I travel back home. Thanks!
It's a St. Louis thing, they are all over the place here, but they're not as spicy as the Californians in this video make them seem, I still like them though.
This is all St. Louis style food - The people on the KC side of things no nothing about Good food (save maybe bar-be-cue) Makes me miss home so much. Gawd I miss Imos and provalone!!!!
Oh. And for those who say KC barbeque is better than St. Louis BQ don't believe it. KC is known for their sauce. St. Louis is known for its slow smoked meat. It doesn't need any help from sauce even though a nice messy ribtip sandwich slathered in potato salad and barbecue sauce will have you sucking your fingers until they shrivel like being in the bath too long.
I saw one of your videos on facebook and I never laughed so hard XD I love your channel and I was thinking you did Texas next! :) Stay awesome my friends!
You do know you only chose food from St. Louis Missouri right?! Because if you really want to represent the whole state it would be nice if you actually picked from multiple cities. Kansas City is one of those cities that you failed to represent in this video.
I'll try it out. If you like BBQ I would recommend Chuck Wagon in Warsaw, Mo; Plow Boys in Blue Springs, Mo; Rosedale's in Kansas City, Ks; Kansas City Joe's BBQ in Kansas City, Ks; & Bate City BBQ in Bate City, Mo. There are so much more but those stand out at the moment to me. Other places to try Pot Pie in Westport, Mo or PT's in Oak Grove, Mo. That's just a few to get started. The pork tenderloin was actually a popular item hear which PT's has a very good one, Corner Cafe in Independence has a Banana Split Cream Pie has a pecan crust is to die for.
I live in st Louis and thought that this was entertaining I was really laughing at how all their mouths were burning when they were eating the red hot ribblets I'm like they are not even that hot
Pfffft, ribs are just ribs, not BBQ. If you're gonna barbecue, whole hog is king... but I think we can all agree that Texans are the most lost, considering they think beef brisket is BBQ.
Should have gotten the BLT from Crown Candy, it an iconic restaurant and the BLT was voted the second best in the nation, IT HAS A POUND OF BACON ON IT
Where's the Peach Nehi pop? Casey's pizza? Lamberts rolls? Strauds cinnamon rolls? Boulevard beer? Row hard root beer? KC BBQ!? StL BBQ? Wtf? Put that microwaved garbage back in the trash and grab a plate of Gates, Smokehouse, Famous Daves, Arthur Bryants, or any other half dozen popular restaurants and get REAL BBQ. And yes, there IS a difference between StL style and KC style.
Something Hazardous I get pizza from caseys all the time, its 100 percent better than imos lol And Lambert's rolls are very good but Lambert's isn't just in Missouri, it's also in Alabama so that might be why it wasn't included
John Ninnymug Thats an idiotic thing to say.... Maybe in 1990 but KC is advancing in SO many more ways than St Louis is. Tech companies are flocking here, Forbes and Huffington Post has listed KC as one of the best cities to live in America, we boast the fastest available internet speeds in the country, while STL is losing population by the boatloads and is consistently rated one of the most dangerous cities in America. I have lived in BOTH and STL is soo far behind KC in so many things..... Get over yourself, KC is where its at in MO....
dear movoto originals, I am very disappointed that you would use St. Louis BBQ, when KC MO is famous for it BBQ and taste a million times better. very disappointed on that, but the rest of it was pretty funny.
I'm from Missouri, & I will say while a lot of the foods on this list are good, you really only focused on STL foods. I personally feel that KC has better BBQ & I was shocked when you left out Springfield Cashew chicken, besides BBQ, it's the main food that Missouri is famous for. But that's just me being picky. Great video.
Oh no you made these poor people try st. Louis barbecue and IMO's pizza? You should have gone with Kansas City BBQ (Joe's KC), the best in the country, and Il Lazzourone pizza. Really the western side of Missouri has far superior food compared to st. Louis. we even have better beer . (Boulevard Brewing Company)
This had me rolling with laughter. BUT! Kansas City barbeque is way better. Especially if you're subjecting these poor people to St. Louis style pizza. ;)
I'm a Missourian and that "Imo's" didn't look how real imo's looked. Its more baked and even looks more cheesy. Wtf was that lol
These are all St. Louis foods. Toasted ravioli is incredible. St. Louis style pizza is either love it or hate it. And, gooey butter cake should be popular outside of St. Louis. I don't know why it isn't.
That was NOT Imo's Pizza...!!!!
Some thoughts from a Missourian upon watching:

Bridges Madison YES, Springfield is the city that invented american cashew chicken so they should've game them that!
That wasn't imos nor was it st.louis style pizza
should have had Pork steaks..
Gooey butter cake is the best thing about living here😍
Skipping Kansas City is an absolute travesty. Should have just called it "St. Louis Food Test".
I grew up in the St Louis area (and actually, all of this food is more of a St Louis thing than a Missouri thing) and I've lived in Long Beach, CA for the past 10 years. This is hilarious! These are all the foods I seek out when I travel back home. Thanks!
billcoons Glad we could dole out some nostalgia!
I am a Missouri girl and one thing I believe we do right is our BBQ.
As a Missourian, I can honestly say that I've never even heard of Red Hot Riplets.
It's a St. Louis thing, they are all over the place here, but they're not as spicy as the Californians in this video make them seem, I still like them though.
Ashley Marie same

Gidget13mwa Thanks, Gidget!

Cameron M We're glad you liked it, Cameron! We were literally talking about how we were looking forward to your reaction. :)
Movoto Originals XD Thanks for listening to your viewers!
Kansas City BBQ is a bit different than St. Louis BBQ. :)
Love these! Adam and Erin should ALWAYS be teamed together, Maggie inspires severe brainless, and I'm hoping for a taste test of Texas favorites!
Grey Randall That should read brain lust, not brainless. stupid autocorrect
St. Louis style pizza is the bomb
Watching someone eat toasted ravs with a fork makes my skin crawl.
Should have had them taste a ST Paul!! Or Sundance Corn Chips!!
yall need to do alabama.. some good choc gravy and biscuits
Should of did Vess cream soda , pork steaks, and stl style chop suey(special fried rice) or a st. Paul sandwich
I live in Missouri 😁

Me too
You do know you only chose food from St. Louis Missouri right?! Because if you really want to represent the whole state it would be nice if you actually picked from multiple cities. Kansas City is one of those cities that you failed to represent in this video.

I have been to Plow Boys and have their barbecue rubs and have you ever been to Lamberts or Gates bbq?
Should have done Pork Steaks. The best thing St. Louis has given this earth
I'm from missouri and lived here for 11 years and haven't had most of this food
I'm from stl n Imos is the best pizza n I love the BBQ right along with the cake....
im in Jefferson city and i don't know some of these
Why have I never heard of red hot riblets before? I've lived in this state my whole life! Why have you forsaken me, Missouri!?
Missouri got the best BBQ in the whole world
Those hot chips are made in my town. They are HOT, even babies eat them here.
I live in Missouri, and I've only heard of the St. Louis style pizza
ive had imos is that the same thing?
+Sophia Meehan Serious?
I live in st Louis and thought that this was entertaining I was really laughing at how all their mouths were burning when they were eating the red hot ribblets I'm like they are not even that hot
Chelsie Smith They only showed St. Louis food though
You guys chose St. Louis BBQ over Kansas City BBQ? Don't you know KC is in Missouri? What's wrong with you people?!?
I live in missouri and I've never had deep fried ravioli
they should have given them Ski Soda
stephen froyler Ski Soda- that's more popular the further south you go, is that right? What's it taste like?
stephen froyler VESS
Movoto Originals Ski was created right across the river from St. Louis is Breese, IL
stephen froyler Lived as a native Missourian for almost 30 years now...can say that I've never heard of Ski Soda.
I love our butter cake :)))))
It'd been nice to actually get their feedback they were trying too hard with the jokes....I miss Missouri food I'm in Texas now its just not the same
ooey gooey butter cake >>>>>>>>
This is cool and all but come on, who gives people St Louis style BBQ instead of Kansas City BBQ lol
My exact thought, I wonder if these food are actually from a restaurant in MO or if they just cooked it themselves?
***** nope. Ribs here (At least StL) are suppose to fall right off. They're as tender as can be.
Any types of ribs are not supposed to fall off the bone. That means that they are overcooked. P.S. KC style ribs are way better.
Pfffft, ribs are just ribs, not BBQ. If you're gonna barbecue, whole hog is king... but I think we can all agree that Texans are the most lost, considering they think beef brisket is BBQ.
So.. Missouri is like an average guy that's really funny? I'll take it!
Seriously though, Manny and Adam belong together
Adam is always funny, but it's even better when they are tasting partners.
Jim Jones
I want to party with Manny and Adam
Of all st louis style pizza you could offer them, you decide to give them salty-ass shitty imos
Yall should do more West Virginia videos.
Or red hot riples
Should have gotten the BLT from Crown Candy, it an iconic restaurant and the BLT was voted the second best in the nation, IT HAS A POUND OF BACON ON IT
scoville units
You should have used more stuff from Kansas City, our BBQ is far superior from St Louis. And we have butter bacon burgers :)
You should have been given Imo's or Cecil Whittaker's pizza! That crust was too thick. ;)
St. Louis? Really? That's what you get, from the Backdoor to the East. ;D GO KC
St Louis is superior to KC in almost every conceivable way. I'm all for pride in where you come from, but give me a break.
John Ninnymug Thats an idiotic thing to say.... Maybe in 1990 but KC is advancing in SO many more ways than St Louis is. OMG! Dont put your fingers near your eyes after eating Red Hot Riplets!
Whaaat, No Vess or Fitz soda!?
It's food not drinks
Im from Missouri, and im whatever with our food
I would love to try California food though!
dear movoto originals,
I am very disappointed that you would use St. Louis BBQ, when KC MO is famous for it BBQ and taste a million times better. very disappointed on that, but the rest of it was pretty funny.
Zashius Grigsby I agree, KC barbecue is way better, i have had both and STL style sucks.
Also, why is Maggie bitter in every video you post. She makes fun of every State's foods.
MactasticLuv KC barbecue is da best
Oh no you made these poor people try st. Louis barbecue and IMO's pizza? You should have gone with Kansas City BBQ (Joe's KC), the best in the country, and Il Lazzourone pizza. Really the western side of Missouri has far superior food compared to st. Louis. we even have better beer . (Boulevard Brewing Company)
***** you obviously haven't had Arthur Bryantts or Gates BBQ in KC
Candice Minear I think Gates BBQ is the best barbecue restaurant i have ever been to but I'm not a fan of Boulevard Brewing Co.
I don't know why you got them saint Louis bbq when Kansas City has the best bbq the state has to offer, Kansas City bbq is amazing
Why would you taint anyone's view of Missouri by feeding them St. Louis food?
This had me rolling with laughter. BUT! Kansas City barbeque is way better. Especially if you're subjecting these poor people to St. Louis style pizza. ;)
Kansas City BBQ is better hands down. If you would have given them that all of them would have moved to Kansas City right then and there.
First comment!
This is literally just St. Louis food... KC does it better.
