- FAST! LIKE REALLY FAST! We resin 3D printed some fun D&D/DnD characters that we designed on the HeroForge website! Our family has been wanting to play dungeons and dragons for some time, so we finally bought some starter packs to get us started, and thought to take it to another level by 3D printing our own custom tabletop miniatures.

Now on my possible purchase list. Thanks for the video and feedback.
Awesome! 💜
My feed didn't give me this vid til today, weird. Hoping D&D went well. Getting ready to DM a game Sunday.
The algo doing its job!
High resolution and detail are not the only advantages of resin printers. There is also a speed advantage with multiple prints. On an FDM printer, if I print one benchy it may take 20 minutes, if I print 4 at a one time, then it takes 80 minutes. But if it takes 20 minutes for 1 benchy on the resin printer, printing 4 at the same time only takes 20 minutes.
$520 is a hell of a deal for such a large resin printer!
I bought the 8k version just below this one, it didn't have the resin pump. Did one test print and sent it back the next day. The resin fumes were horrible! It took about 8 hours for my apartment to air out, I didnt know it was going to be that bad. If you're going to resin print, it's vital that you are in a well ventilated area!
Sorry to hear you had to send it back! And yes, ventilation is important!
That printer is huge! Very good video!
MONSTER! And thank you!
I have the Halot Mage and it has been fantastic! With Sunlu ABS-Like resin it has always worked.
That's awesome! I REALLY like it!
I played AD&D 1st Addition for 20 plus years.
We want to play as a community too!
I am thrilled with my Saturn 12k ultra that retails for $500. It doesn't have the remote reservoir or the heated vat, but the former doesn't appeal to me and the latter is not as needed in Florida where I live. It has a carbon filter though, and that helps the smell. This is my 7th or 8th resin printer. I love how far they have come from my first original Elegoo Mars. That first printer was so touchy. With the Saturn, I routinely load up the huge build with miniatures from edge to edge and it just works. The details are fantastic, but I doubt the difference between 8k and 12k are all that visible. I keep my resin out in the shop and my FDM in the house.
I would never have guessed that in just a couple of short years we jumped so quickly to 8k and 12k resin machines! Mind blowing!
How long does it take to fill the vat and how long does it take to unload the vat?
Not too long, a few minutes and it started printing while it was still filling.
