    Good to see the older generation showing their skills. What I find most interesting is the difference in the skill levels on show, also the range of ways that different individuals are able to apply what they have been shown. They may have all been drinking from the same source but some were clearly more thirsty than others.

      yes the differences are huge. training with the same teacher is not a guarantee of homogenous quality. some people trained incredibly hard and never stopped. never got comfortable. others perhaps had other priorities.. resulting in huge differences. my preferences are phillip bayer and barry lee lineages.

      I have had some training (week of training at his home in Germany) from Barry Lee as well as seminars in the Netherlands. For me there was no better one than Barry Lee.

    These are not all first generation students. But cool video. For example I miss my Sifu "Attilio Reale". He was 4 years in HK, trained 16 years under the supervision of Wong Shun Leung and accompanied him on trips in europe.
    I was also at seminars with Wong Shun Leung in attilios first school in Munich.
    If you are in munich and love original WSL Ving Tsun, you have to visit him:

    • @guillermusicona69

      slight differences? there are huge differences man. but until you meet their students or them in person, it's hard to understand. videos are highly difficult to use as reference. anyway.. not intending to criticise.. just a constructive disagreement : )

      Sifu David Peterson was quoted as the best technical student of WSL by the master himself. He is considered to be the blueprint of WSL Ving Tsun, non-disputable as even WSL first generation students would tell you the same thing...

    • @blueboy837
      @blueboy837 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fact. Mr Peterson. Only went to hk maximum 3 or 4 years the last person I would train with. And he only trained school holidays

      @@blueboy837 Angelou Dundee knew nothing about boxing, and yet he produced the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time in Muhammad Ali. It's about how well a person's ability to be articulate on his words and transmit information and knowledge that makes a good teacher, and that's what Sifu Peterson is good at. Despite the fact that he didn't spend as much time training in Hong Kong as his other Kung Fu brothers (as every grown adults have their own commitments and responsibilities) he is known as one of the most knowledgeable ving tsun teachers today. Not only that, in case you do not know, Sifu Peterson is also one of the only two persons to be qualified in Australia in the WSL Ving Tsun system by WSL himself. He currently has a group of loyal students following him, if he isn't that good, people would have figured out to not learn from him right? The fact is he's a good teacher as other WSL kung fu brothers would have told you the same.
