I really appreciate your line of questioning. Touching on the confusion regarding the magisterium. Michael Lofton came to mind often while I listened to this.

Thank you very much. I listen to Michael Lofton a lot. He has a lot of good stuff.

I’m in the middle of rereading Dei Verbum because of your video. (You’re right).
I listen to Michael Lofton also and I think he is one of the most intelligent apologists for the current Pope. He talks a lot about the magisterium but I don’t think he sees it like Bishop Williamson. I agree with Bishop Williamson.

@@spiritualstrengthcatholic7887 - huh? if you consider defending the words and actions of Jorge then 'yes', Lofton has good stuff. If you are a Traditional Catholic then Lofton really isn't the thing at all.

    Nice!
Thank you for categorizing magisterium as the tool of Tradition and not the other way around.
    Sweet. Gracias, senor!

Thank you, my lord. Incidentally, in Ordinatio Sacerdotalis JPII said that the Church does not have the authority to ordain women and responded to the Dubium on the matter by affirming that this teaching comes form and is validated by the deposit of faith. This is as much as he could do as the Church cannot define negatives

He’s a very nice man who I’ve learned many good things from but he is wrong in his definition of the ordinary magisterium and reaction to Vatican II

I love the lord Bishop but the answer for us Catholics is Holy Orthodoxy. We Catholics MUST obey and respect the pope EVEN when he talks 'off the cuff' and demonstrates his views by actions etc.
