ClanForbes Gathering 2021March Part1 (Highlights)

This Clan Forbes Gathering on March 21, 2021, focused on genealogy and DNA test results. Speakers incuded clan historian Alexander Forbes of Druminnor Castle who will review the major branches of the House of Forbes. Then we’ll receive an update on the Clan Forbes Family Tree on Ancestry.com by our team of Stephanie Forbes Hayward, Jean Stacy Gore, and Catherine (Cathy) Forbes McCausland. Then our FamilyTreeDNA Forbes Group Administrators Philip Stead, currently a postgraduate student at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, in the MSc Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies Programme, will trace the origins of the Y-DNA haplogroup and single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) variations of Clan Chief, Malcolm, Lord Forbes. Then our team will field questions from all our members.
