Why does Mike always rap "the people up top AND the people down low, get down and obey every word" Instead of the album lyrics, which is "the people up top PUSH the people down low get down and obey every word" Seems like an odd adjustment to make so deliberately, he does it in every live version of this song I've seen. Kind of removes the political point of that line to turn it into more of a "party" line, until you reach "and obey every word", which brings it back to the actual message of the song. I can only imagine it's either somehow easier to rap that live (this explanation I believe the least, because it's not some super fast, technical bar, it's easy to rap either way), he just likes to switch it up to be less oppressive and more "everybody get down to party" live (makes sense, but kinda lessens the message of the song, not by much, it's one line, but still), or he outright forgets it (also don't believe this: again, easy bar to rap, it's the first line of the song, and Mike is nothing if not professional.) Idk, I'm definitely overthinking it. Either way, this is as always an awesome performance of one of my favorite LP songs.
I love this song, one of my favourites of the album!!! (Y)

i love them.. but mike, you can't call that timing!
The singing is off from the music almost constantly...their timing here is not very good...
