I have gone through many videos of making cnc engraver 3d printer. But my major concern was making slider arrangement in a cheaper and easily arrangeable way. This is a very nice video on simplifying things. The glue is just an idea, one can replaced it with other type of reinforcement mediums like screws. Uploaders use 3d printed parts which makes us think we cannot make it at our home. Thanks for enlightenment. The only thing bothered me was sticking of one axis slider over another one. It can be improvised and programming software was missing. Great video approach. Simplifying the engineering encourages one to take a step further into it. Kudos

With a marker and integration with fizz this would be an awesome addition to my lab to make complex electronics circuits at ease.
real nice idea ,I started building cnc machines 25 years ago and you folk make something seem easy when it takes one hell of a brain to figure it all out, The only difference is the z axis where I always use the stepper mechanism from an old dvd or floppy drive take it apart cut out what I need and scrap the rest. For the code I just manually count how many steps up and down then set up F-engrave and away I go, great news Inkscape will export a .dfx file to feed into F-engrave which generates the gcode file the load it into UGS and boom its drawing away "sometimes all night". I love your means and methods a block of wood and some glue gets the job done. Keep it up as I am 69 years old and still building stuff. Great show. Now make a new holder for a vinyl cutter and you can make signs.

that thing is expensive. for $20 more i can get a 3 axis cnc kit from china. spnidle and router bits included. and you could technically use a 3 axis machine for 2 axis work too.
guys, the exact measures does not matter. You have tons of clues and also some specific data: 8mm axle and linear bearings (the ones that are a little longer). Look closer: when you decide the distance of the axle from the base of X or Y axis, it must be enough clearance for the linear bearing to spin around the 8mm axle without touching the base. The length of each axis is 300mm plus some space for supports and the motor. Anything else you can decide when you have the components on your designing table,
I think the support of the x or y axis is aprox. 38 cm in length. For the bearings, you should look for ones with 8mm interior diameter then figure the thick of the wood support. But again, only after having all the components you can figure out all of the dimensions.
1) How to program the circuit board? 2) When the input is connected to the PC what coordinate we should apply for x and y axis? Can you give me the answer of this questions which I have asked you above. Because I have made this project but it is not working due to the circuit problem.
What if you had this machine in your school life then you had probably done all your homework with machine then we won't had the legend like you so no one will be benefited by doing his homework with this machine
