I was with an avoidant for years. Her view on sex was that it was just two consenting people having fun and feeling good. She never believed in sex=love. For me the anxious attachment person. It was always more meaningful. I felt more connected to her as a partner.
Dear Craig, you helped me gain so much awareness about my anxious attachment style in relation to my constant preoccupation with sex with my wife, I realized it will not be easy to stop seeking reassurance of my abandonment and my marriage. Thank you for putting this all together. And for your excellent presentation style
Sex with my avoidant ex was great for the first 5 years, got married and it disappeared and she got repulsed by the intimacy. I had to beg and it made me lose my masculinity as I felt trapped. She then walked out and isn’t coming back. I feel both abandonment and freedom as an anxious.
5 years? Wow what a feat, especially in this day and age where guys are so picky, if not repulsed by the thought of committing to a woman! Trust me on this, I'm almost 40 and it sucks to have love taken away from you, especially when you thought it was so right.
Any tips for dating with cerebral palsy ? My walk is little bit different after the bad breakup in January I have problems to find new partner thank you all 🙂
How would sex affect someone who is a fearful avoidant( disorganized) ? Would it be a constant back forth between the anxious and avoidant style approach when it comes to intimacy?
My girlfriend and I just had an abortion today and we’ve kind of been going through the motions.. today when we got back, we have this big misunderstanding, and an argument to boot to the point that she didn’t even want to talk to me. She told me what my problem was and then I told her I would work on it and then she said no need … so I asked what it meant and then I asked if we were breaking up or if she was breaking up with me. She has yet to answer, she also has yet to take the second pill. When I dropped her off, I could’ve sworn she said see you later…. then I asked her a second time if we were broken up and then she just told me bye she wasn’t trying to make it clear. So I’m thinking we’re finished. I’m not entirely sure what’s going on. I did send her an apology just recently and she read it but she hasn’t responded and I still have her map, rights. Didn’t go as planned, but I don’t think she’s giving up even though she’s so in her emotions right now that she doesn’t wanna interact with me. I’m not going into no contact, but I’m giving her space and I’m not going to reach out anymore until she reaches out to me.
@DanLo5db fixed all my issues, turns out the pregnancy hormones had her out of whack we started going back out again and making love and stuff and everything is back to normal in fact it feels stronger and better than before this was our first real ISSUE
What if someone anxious is with an avoidant that only understands sex on the transactional essence. I wonder if the anxious can turn into the avoidant but only with sex because of the lack of intimacy. So then the avoidant gets rejected constantly, their worst fear. The anxious feel like the avoidant only want to have transactional sex but everytime after feels abandoned because of no connection..their worst fear. ??😅
Does a person that dumps you? I.e. The girlfriend ever have to think of actually becoming a better version of herself who is always Amanda have to become better visions of themselves. Where can I go? Find new hobbies and forget and tea ever happened, and they just get away with it all. Is that 3 out of the world girls get away with it? All and men have to continually trying to find Better versions of themselves from the deepest part of their pockets, all from some inner soul of theirs returned. Now that we discovered all over again. And that's not even for that girl.S just never have to do anything to repair themselves.Get on merely longer gonna parties

Still in no contact. Separated for 10 months now. Still working on contentment being alone becoming more secure.

I rather be with a anxious person then a avoidant. Avoidant just make things extra difficult.
I prefer avoidants. They don't need as much attention as anxious do.

Not technically. It’s just a emotional response of they attachment don’t get ahead of your selves.

Everybody is talking about avoidants-anxious relationships,but i never found any info about two anxious people in a relationship,breakup..
On another point does the anxious attachment style person know that they have anxious attachment style?And it's damaging to you the person?
