    I hope no one got offended by the things I mentioned, I know at some points it sounds like I don't like Spain at all, but I really do, I love it. Just wanted to make that clear, these were just some differences and my opinions :)

    I think the difference in meal times between countries has a lot to do with the amount of daily sunlight

      shadizaar it isn't, I am Spanish and our meal times are like that because after the war almost every family was poor so everyone had to get two jobs, you would have to work from early in the morning until 1 or 2 and from 3 to 8-9 and the middle of the day was the only time you could see your family and rest, that's why our most important meal of the day is lunch and the timetables

      If that were true Finns would change their schedule by season so no. After all, Northernmost of Finland, when sun sets in mid-November, it won't rise until mid-January. And, similarly, after rising in mid-May, sun won't set until mid-July... Southernparts aren't quite that extreme but still, summerdays are long and winterdays short.

    I mean Spanish people don't speack a lot of languages because Spanish is spoken by 590 million people in the world. And Finnish is spoken by 6 million people, so that is why in Finland people speacks at least two languages, bacause if not they would be isolated from the rest of the world. And lastly, is old people who don't speack english. English is an obligatory subject in all schools of Spain. Also all schools offer thd posibility of learning French.

      You are absolutely right, in addition, that foreigners, especially Scandinavians and Anglos, pronounce fatal Spanish, but we have the education of not telling them, and most surprisingly, they want us to speak English in Spain, when they come? ?
      about its educational system ... The number of scientists, top-notch doctors, writers, and people from the culture that gave Finland to the world ... are counted in thousands ...
      How much arrogance for God.

    Si tu padre o tu abuelo, te leeyera, fliparia en colores, porque tu apellido no es especialmente finlandes, mas bien diria yo que Italiano.
    AAAAHHHH, perdona, que no sabes leer en español. traduce por el google, que algo entenderas.

    What I will never understand, is because we have to speak English, I am not, I love my language, and I do not refuse to learn others, but why do I have to pronounce it like them? I do not complain when a foreigner tries to speak Spanish and pronounces badly, but look is easy, girl, if you so dislike Spain, and everything in Finland is so wonderful (so much that you have the highest suicide rate in the world) stay there , nobody forces you to come

    • @orre98
      @orre98 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Marco Ceca Finland may have one of the highest suicide rates but they also top happiness, freedom of press, corruption free rankings, education, one of the best health-care systems amongst many others. get educated my man

    • @marekck
      @marekck 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am sure that Finland is beautiful, and that it has everything you say, but ... there are also illiterates and you make it clear with your comment.
      1st comment to her, is that they always complain that in Spain we pronounce English poorly, (maybe they forget that we speak Spanish) and that your Spanish pronunciation is bad, but we are so badly educated, as you say. We do not tell you, and we are more understanding.
      2º How can happiness and sadness lead at the same time? I would look at those statistics again in your place.
      3º In Spain ignorant sir, there is freedom of press and of thought, of idieologia and of everything, is more, we have one of the most liberal democracies that exists, but as you refer to the case of Catalonia, I will not bother to explain something to you, so that ... your stupidity betrays you. (a note) look if there is democracy, which independentist parties are allowed .. can you say the same? ))
      4th education and culture go hand in hand, and for your comments, it is clear that you either do not live in Finland, or the education system is not so good.
      To finish, if you make a video about a country, you have to be prepared to receive criticism as well.
      that you are happy, and enjoy the good beaches and good food and the good sun, and the incredible views of Finland XD

    • @orre98
      @orre98 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      how does my comment make me an illiterate? if anything that's you who can barely speak English that classifies as one LMAO, but moving on. Finland is one of 6 countries in the world with a 100% literacy rate.
      1 - I have not commented such thing and someone's accent is a stupid complaint to have - as long as one's able to speak and understand the language it doesn't really matter how 'American' your pronunciation is (I myself am far from that).
      2 - I don't really have an explanation for that, but it is so. perhaps the feeling of walking down the streets and knowing your phone won't get stolen, to know you won't get evicted from your own home, to know you'll always have food on the plate and top education guaranteed for your children and an uncountable number of other reasons bring happiness to their people.
      3 - Spain ranks WAY below any proper civilised Nordic country in terms of press of freedom, you can look it up yourself. also, Finland also has its own pro-independence parties in the Åland Islands, you very well-educated man.
      4 - I won't even bother replying to that crap. You make no sense and FYI I do live in Finland and I'm extremely proud of it.
      I invite you to leave your little Spanish ignorance and see northern sights, and hopefully grow your knowledge on other places of the world. bow your head down in shame

      Esto en español para que te moleste tu en traducir Oriol, fijate si tenemos libertad en España, que hay no un idioma, ( y no tenemos que hacer los videos en Ingles ) tenemos idiomas oficiales español, gallego, euskera, catalán, catalán / aranés , valenciano/catalán, y no oficiales, vascuence/euskera, asturiano/bable, Silbo gomero, Aragonés oriental o chapurriau, Altoaragones, Cántabro o montañés, Extremeño o castúo, Fala Galaico-Extremeña, Leonés, Árabe dariya, (en Ceuta ) , y Rifeño en (Melilla), a parte e las diferencias de pronunciacion y de habla de las regiones de Andalucía , que aunque te digan que es el mismo no es así. que te parece?. y nuestro sistema educativo en las escuelas, no sera el mejor, pero sabes lo que si nos enseñan ? a no opinar de política de otro país, si no tenemos ni puta idea , como es tu caso , al hablar de presos políticos en España, porque no existen , tambien a que nuestro sistema educativo es tan malo que tenemos mas eminencias mundiales en diferentes materias ( medicina, literatura, arte, ciencia, etc que Finlandia ) una Historia muchisimo mas rica, extensa, y gloriosa, clima, comida, diversion , playas, paisajes, ciudades, simptaia, humor, etc etc, tanto es así,que sois vosotros los que venis a España de vacaciones, y raro que un español elija Finlandia , asi que punto en boca, tontin

      jajaajj but is that you have to speak English, to be someone, Finnish 6 million speakers, Spanish 590 million, native language, and more than 50 million as a second language .. why do I want English? I do not need to speak English at all and if for you that is to be cultured, you do not speak illiterate Spanish, continue with such cultured comments hahahaha, now I have to speak English to be cultured, that is good

    In finland there are two oficial languages: Finnish and Swedish, and almost everybody speak English too. Finnish are completly different from Swedish, it belongs to Fino-ugric family; Swedish belongs to Nordic-Germanic family. So there´s no excuse. It´s a matter of attitude and open minded people.

  • @saralahoz8169
    @saralahoz8169 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Hey! In which part of Spain did you live? Did you go there for an ERASMUS or I guess you were younger and you did an exchange during High school...?
    I deduce you were not living in Catalonia, in which a great percentage of the people usually talk in Catalan, spanish and french (and also english, specially young generations). You should also take in consideration that Spanish language (as french and italian and portuguese...) are roman languages, so they are more different compared to English than German, Dutch or Northern languages (swedish, danish, finnish) are. This is probably the reason why spaniards, french and italian people speak badly in English!

    • @kiacecilia9728
      @kiacecilia9728  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I live in Madrid and yes its exchange! I think the reason for that is the lack of hearing the language. In northern Europe we always hear English on TV and stuff but here everything is in Spanish. And also Spanish is a lot more similar to English than Finnish for example :)

    • @Aurinkohirvi
      @Aurinkohirvi 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sara, all the other languages you mentioned, belong to the indoeuropean language family, except Finnish. There are 3 language families in Europe: the Indoeuropan (includes Romance, Germanic, Slavic, Baltic-languages), the Uralic or Finno-Ugric (includes: Finnic, Ugric and Samoyed languages) and the Basque language family. Also at Caucasus mountains there are languages that do not belong to the three language families. So for Finnish speakers English is far more different than to any who speaks an indoeuropean language.

    • @saralahoz8169
      @saralahoz8169 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I know! Thanks for the explanation anyway! Then I remembered that I read some time ago that Finish is part of a non-indoeuropean family language which is called Finnish-Uralic (or Finno-Ugric, as you said), and so Finnish does not have anything to do with Swedish, English or any other european languages (except hungaryan).

    • @Aurinkohirvi
      @Aurinkohirvi 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Right. Naturally people often assume Finnish probably reminds Scandinavian languages or Russian. Neighbouring languages often are closely related. I understand English, German and Swedish, so when I played in a guild with Dutch guys, I could understand much of their chat, and I never had studied any Dutch!
      There's only 3 national Finno-Ugric languages, I mean, what the majority in the country speak: Hungarian, Finnish and Estonian from the biggest to the smallest. There is still several others, but many Finnic languages are in verge of extinction right now, many are known have disappeared lately. It's a language family of hunter-gathering peoples, and the more numerous agricultural people's languages just assimilated the few speakers.

    Bueno la chica tiene un poco razón en cuanto a los horarios españoles que hay que reconocer que son demenciales. En cuanto a que los adolescentes son tratados o actúan como chiquillos pues igual también tiene un poco razón… y especialmente en estos tiempos. Calculo también que en muchas familias los papis hacen todo por las criaturas y espabilan cuando llegan a la universidad y allí pues les dirán majos… espabilad! Y en cuanto a los idiomas pues guapa si vives en Finlandia pues normal que hables idiomas porque no te vas a comer una rosca. Recomiendo al personal y a esta niña también que lean Cartas Finlandesas y Hombres del Norte de Ángel Ganivet, porque a pesar de ser un país, España, terrible y lleno de defectos, que los tenemos, ha dado mentes brillantes y maduras como Ganivet.
