In the UK they'd be banned under the ASA guidelines. You can't advertise something and then not deliver on that, it's highly illegal

They’re not actually legal, but the problem is that mobile game ads aren’t exactly the FTC’s top priority, so these games just keep getting away with blatantly false advertising because no one bothers to stop them

my theory for the polysphere add is that they're hoping you fullscreen it and think the texts are from your ex, thereby making you click on the screen and sending you to the app store page.

I actually get playable adds for Hustle Castle on my family tree app. Basically you have to put a man and a woman in a room, then the woman gets pregnant and then you have to feed her meat, then she gives birth. That's it. That's the demo.
