That's 46mph by the GPS. Which means the speedo in the car was probably sitting at 50mph.

Romero, if someone pulls out in front of you, if you brake before you put your full beams on, you might be able to slow down in time so you don't have to mount the footpath in avoidance
It looks like he never touched the other car (Audi?), which means he could well have just driven off laughing. Meanwhile Romero discovers that all things considered, accidents, especially 'single vehicle collisions', are best avoided.
It would have helped if he hadn’t been speeding either.
Also doing 46mph in what looks to be a 40 zone. And for a GPS reading of 46, your car's speedo would be showing at least 50.

No. He didn't appear to slow down, but the apparent speed up is a wide angle lens effect (the opposite of telephoto compression). As you get closer to an object the 'extension effect' unwinds and even if you are holding a constant speed it will appear you are speeding up (see also the majority of 'he accelerated into a roundabout' clips).
Why do these cammers have the reaction time of a slug and the tendency to roll into accidents like potatoes
Some do it for the camera, make a meal out of nothing, so they get some footage to send in. The ones who do crash are like Suckle said, doing it for cha ching.
Slugs have good reactions! They are just speed limited . These people don't even react and then when they do, not enough lol. Terrible

I'm not sure who was worse, Callum B or Romero. On the basis that Romero was speeding as well as driving blindfolded, I'll go with him for TOTW.

'Right of way' arrogance is becoming a huge danger on the roads and it needs to be addressed. Rather than have a near miss, which could have been a lot worse, had there had been cars to the left or pedestrians on the pavement, Romero could've eased off or braked, and it would've cost him 20, 30 seconds at most.

@lalita patpong right of way is incorrect. You’ve embarrassed yourself. He may have had priority. But had he been doing (assuming 30) he would have stopped without the dramatics of mounting pavements
Lots of countries such as America tell us they have no idea how to use a roundabout. But it seems a lot of the British population dont either. How can you literally not have the basic functions to see a car coming from the right and wait. How that driver didnt see the biker in the last one is beyond me. Life time ban IMO.
There is no give way to the right rule on roundabouts. You have to give way to traffic already on the roundabout, hence the give way marking all around, regardless from which direction. And in this case indeed, the cammer was on the roundabout first, and hence the red car had to give way.

@@Palerider1942 Yes but many people misread this when mini roundabouts are concerned. When you approach a mini roundabout and there's nobody on it, you have priority to enter. Many people say "I came from the right so I have priority" and blast through a mini roundabout. If there's a car on their left closer to the roundabout, that car has priority to enter the roundabout because nobody's on it yet. Doesn't matter if some distance a way a car is approaching from their right. The "right" in the roundabout sense is traffic ON the roundabout, not traffic nearing the roundabout from the right.

The rear of the trailer was in the middle of the road. There was no need to take a turn that wide.
We all know how an articulated truck works, but clearly none of us knew that the driver of an articulated truck doesn’t need to slow down or stop and indicate his intentions before making his manoeuvre when it’s safe.

Well he definitely knew he wasn’t going to stop as he kept looking and looking then realised that he isn’t stoping so tried accelerating. It could have been a lot worse if he didn’t accelerate. Also if people start saying “well he could have braked”. No he couldn’t have as he was going round a corner and he would have slid most likely under the car. It’s not Marks fault but he must have encountered people like that before that don’t stop. Hope yr ok Mark H.

ADMB PLASTERING - quick tip, when YOUR OWN NAME is on the side of the company vehicle, best not to drive like a tit, speeding, intimidating and being aggressive to other road users. Being late for a job isn't a valid excuse for driving like a tit.

@@gavincolgan1827 he was adjacent to a bus lane, so maybe doesn’t have the know how in the city he’s driving in or avoids it because he’ll end up penalised... can’t make it out clearly enough how much indication/notice he gave but the turn was pretty narrow in respectiveness to the size of the van turning. 100% mopeds fault undertaking at speed in built up traffic.
The moped wouldn't have been there had he not crossed the solid white line breaking the law. I hope the van driver finds the footage here.

47mph at the start of the clip (and they chose to slim tge vid down to start there like 47 is acceptable!) and he was dropping speed (albeit too slowly) so must have been over 50mph. Could easily have killed someone.
Got to love a well presented middle digit, haven't you? So useful in various situations, from making the girlfriend happy, to stirring your lunchtime soup. It can even work as a way to express yourself at times when verbal abuse will fall on deaf ears.

Too true - I was shouting at the screen at that one. The level of delusion in these clips is shocking - these people really don’t realise how their driving is getting them into these scrapes.
Callum B, you sir have deliberately decided to crash into the side of the van, so it's not all the van drivers fault, majority of it is your fault aswell, put your driving licence back in the kellogg's cereal box where it belongs
I don't know why I watch these, it just gives me pure anxiety now when I'm out driving haha
I must admit I can get really annoyed at bad drivers on the road - but watching these videos really teaches me the value of just staying calm, assuming everyone is out to kill me, and knowing that I’m not alone 😅

I was thinking once someone has a dashcam and has right of way they stick to it
regardless of crashing just so they have it stored on video.
Look at the clip here 05:28 see how it could have been avoided but kept going.
One thing I would say, as a dashcam owner myself, is things are closer in real life than they appear on camera. I'm not defending anyone, but there certainly is a difference.
@@tyastridge1576 that's correct the camera does distort the image somewhat and things do look closer in real life, but what the camera can't do is distort time take the Callum B clip for example from the moment the clip starts the van is making the turn and its a good 2-3 seconds before Callum B hits it that's plenty of time to throw out the anchors.

C661 CNS - A very dangerous driver just stopping for no reason and then indicating and deciding what they are doing. They are definitely going to cause an accident.

Not really, it's scary as hell to me as an ambulance crew. The clip at 1:10 is the run up to South Wimbledon tube station, about 2 minutes further up the road is the major trauma unit for SW London, and most of Surrey. I've driven up that stretch at a rate of knots with critical patients on board more times than I care to count. Seeing that idiot pull out worries me, because I have to add that Sainsburys on the left to my mental map as somewhere I can expect more dumbfuckery.
That whole selection is about what I have to deal with when I'm out for a quick spin on the Bike.

That's what I was thinking. Hard to know if that crash was avoidable but if the cammer had used the proper road position and set off at a normal rate they might have seen the rogue car and stopped.

Nathan Y's clip shows a person who is not only fully entirely deaf, but also incapable of feeling vibrations in the ground indicating an incoming vehicle. Callum's clip shows a driver that's simply lacking eyes. Together they are ready to work for Dented Parcel Delivery.

As much as Callum B's reaction time is shocking, I love how the van driver is the one angry about a crash he caused
Anonymous was 1) way too upset about someone not indicating and 2) way too close for the road conditions
7:34 There are three persons to be censured in this clip. Most egregious is the reckless speeding moped rider. Although I don't wish them harm it's appropriate that they were the worst affected. If it hadn't been that van, that day, they'd have hit something else sooner or later, quite possibly a pedestrian. The van turned left from a right-hand lane which is bad in itself, even worse to do it without hesitation in a vehicle with only a mirror for checking the nearside. Third is cammer Sasha R who drove on by without offering their video evidence.
To be fair to the van, it does look like quite a tight entrance to get into, so maybe a wide turn was needed. For the bike on the other hand, they were riding through a bus lane and then continuing straight in a left turn lane

Why do people drive into things instead of braking these days? Litteraly the first rule of driving is if something is in front of you you brake.. Basic driving skills, you don't accelerate ffs
