    I've done many of these things to restore my feet after years of playing football. I was ultimately in so much foot, shin, and knee pain that I was weaping without my knowledge as I jogged to the park on day. My instincts told me to kick my shoes off as I stood in the grass. The pain fell instantly. I remembered a Charlie Rose interview segment with a guy who wrote about how extreme marathon runner tribes essential run barefoot with a floppy sandal over their foot. Toe spreading with my hands, and fascia massage with a lid from a jar is how I start my day. I'm completely pain free for years. I swear by this method, and ice massage with frozen blocks of ice that I freeze in plastic Solo cups [comes from years of sports medicine in college, and later as a trainer/athlete healing myself... I run warm water over the outside of the frozen ice cup, pop the block out, grip it with a hand towel and massage my feet to knees, shoulders and neck, forearms, hands, and elbows... Completely resets my pain to almost none]. I had stress fractures in both 5th metatarsals, tore both my insteps, arthritic ACLs that prohibited me from staying seated for longer than 30 minutes at a time, and shin splints. I've healed all of those things now. I'll add the other toning methods to my routine. Thanks for this.

    Correct Toes toe spaces changed my life and helped me recover from a severely painful, debilitating forefoot problem. At $65 they’re expensive, but 100% worth it in my opinion.

    It would be dope if you guys set up a body cam for the guests! It would help us out so much to see your guests go through the motions they are describing. Particularly me because I'm dumb and still need to rewatch something a bunch to get it down. Thanks!

    Many years ago my podiatrist told me that arches could not be built up again. His option was to sell me a $500 custom insert. I politely said 'shove that insert straight into your ass.' and left.
    I knew that I could work out every other muscle in my body....so why was the foot any different?
    I'm happy to see younger minds get into health & fitness. Challenge dogma

    • @utgardkraft1412
      @utgardkraft1412 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha thats my exact story too. The podiatrist was adamant I had to get his molded plastic piece for several thousand crowns... Of course you can train the feet as you can with any limb, so Im not going back there.

      Arches can be rebuilt with 6 months / 1 year of transition to footware that actively makes your arches work. But this is 30 seconds generation has no time for it.

    This is what i needed so bad! I was born with club feet, didn’t walk until I was 2yrs old. I don’t have much of an arch. Also, in 3rd grade I broke my big toe and haven’t been able to bend it since. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this info

    I have been barefoot and have played basketball barefoot since I was a kid. Now at almost 23, I still do those things and I haven't had any type of foot problem and have insane athlete arches. I have had plantar fasciitis when I was like 14 for a while, but that has more to do with how my back was and how it affected the rest of the chain down my legs. It eventually went away with resting my feet. As soon as warm weather is around where I live (we get 8 months of warm weather from March to October), I basically stay barefoot most of the year, my feet get overheated way too easy, so I wear shoes very minimally, only when I go out and actually do things and see people, and that could be more rarely than usual.

    Really surprised you have not had chong xie on yet. And just real quick poking holes in this hand foot thing, first our foot serves a purpose so different from the hand comparing the two is basically pointless, second separating the toes arbitrarily can collapse the transverse arch, and it is near impossible to have stiffness and toe seperation simultaneously.

    I've had great results from doing KneesOverToesGuy exercises consistently with zero drop 'barefoot'-like shoes (I just bought some cheap watershoes from eBay). Used to have pancake flat feet but now have normal arches.

      @@Future_looksbright Sled (both forward and backward) I think is the main one but also the build from the ground up ideaology with emphasis on the various tib/calf raise variations (have never done this much lower leg training volume in my life and in particular for the soleus), as well the Petersen Step Up and of course the ATG split squat where you are pushing through the big toe have helped a lot too.

    Been a serious runner 20 years. Ditched the shoes for most road miles. About 50 per week. Still 20 ish miles per week on trails in shoes. Running in shoes now irritates knees and is much less fun than barefoot running. The adaptations available in the feet are limitless

    I had chronic foot pain my whole life until I was 17, I have bone spurs where my arches are suppose to be, I got dr schools inserts, i wear them everyday in every pair of shoes, i haven't had foot pain one time in the past 5 years, they even made it so the foot pain is gone even when I'm not wearing shoes as well, best 50 dollars I have ever spent in my life, currently on my second pair of them in 5 years!!!! I very very highly recommend them, I am a very active person and they still last me about 3 years..... thank you Dr Scholls

    I have low arches but haven't had much issues because of it. I do tend to walk barefooted at home and grew up in Hawaii and used to walk barefooted or wore flip flops often. I do make a conscious effort to walk and run softly onto the ball of my feet.
