Druids were really disappointing in Solasta. Almost all of their spells require concentration (which is something I don't like about 5e) but my main issue was that the wildshape options were really weak. I think the lack of a moon druid homebrew really hurt them
Unfinished Business mod pack adds basically Moon Druids (for copyright reasons they're named Circle of the Night but get all Moon Druid features). Tried one in a relatively difficult workshop campaign, focusing mainly on her Wildshape and she pulled her weight quite well.
@@t.t6294 oh yeah, more powerful beast forms across the board as well as Elemental Wildshape from lvl 10 onwards with all the in-game elemental forms (well, pre-POI, so Fire, Earth and Air; not sure if they implemented Ice Elemental already).
I tend to use a leather/studded armor high dex Sylvan Lowlife Battle Cleric, serves the role of Rogue and part time healer but can DPS very well. Fireball , X2 attacks at 8th level and Divine Strike to stun and do more damage. Get that dex and Wis up high and you are golden!
Short rest classes ftw in solasta, don't need to think when you get to have long rest. Fighter, warlock, monk all strong just spam away all your points and rest after battle.
@@jalmarihuitsikko7211 Short rest after every single fight isn't fair. Warlock, monk, fighter, bard... replenish all their resources. If you spam short rest you again an additional healing bard dice every time. It's like an exploit; in the tabletop the Master doesn't permit to short rest everywhere and every time.
Terrain does not matter except when it comes to gather food when doing overland travel. In regards to Favored Enemies, Beasts, and Undead are very common through out the game. at higher levels you cannot go wrong with Monstrosities and elementals. Cheers!
@The Vaniverse Gaming Oh I have already played the Crown of the Magister campaign. I was talking more about the Palace of Ice campaign. The trailer talks about demons so I thought for sure Fiends. Have you played through it? What else is prevalent in that campaign?
just finished PoI yesterday the most common enemy type i encountered are fiends>dragon especially on random encounters >monstrosity>beast and elemental never meet giants on random encounters

Not a fan of 5e concentration. Everything is so dumbed down.

@@Mordring for real? Been meaning to try that. Does it come with new forms?

Yeah Battle Clerics are a lot of fun! Cheers!
On palace of ice I could say: 4 snow dwarves, one a Rogue, one a Paladin, one a Druid, and one a Warlock or Wizard... 🤗
Fighters have a subclass called spellblade where they can cast spells. Fighters are not just melee characters.
Yes they have a class called spellblade, but that does not make them a caster. This subclass just enhances their fighter abilities. Cheers!
Great video, greetings from Argentina.
Glad you liked it. Welcome from Argentina! Cheers!
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome! Cheers!

100% agree that an all short rest part is amazing. Cheers!
There is again an abuse of short resting in palace of ice?
@@anto8375 I am not sure what kind of abuse it is but you can take short rest when you are not in combat. Afaik that is how it's meant to work.

Nice overview. Have a particular favorite class?
My two favorite classes/subclasses are a Swift Blade Ranger and a Court Mage Wizard. I would say a close 3rd would be a Fiend Warlock. Cheers!
+1 on swift blade and court mage. Aka ways come back to them.
Any recommendations on Ranger Favored enemy and terrain choices?
