I’m glad they got stitches design right because that’s what he looks like in the movie and there’s a lot of merchandise selling
I think it translated so well to 3D because Chris Sander's designs have depth and dimensionality to them.
I heard his voice and I was impressed
At least they actually made him look like Stitch. Seriously, his design should be difficult to mess up even in live action.

At first glance I wasn't a fan of his fur as it looks closer to a stuffed animal than a real creature...
But then I remember Stitch is an artificial lifeform made by a mad scientist, so his artificial look works in context
Also, Lilo and Stitch was the first movie property to do crossovers with the Disney tv properties like Recess, Kim Possible, the Proud Family, and American Dragon.

I find it to be so great when a movie originally intended for streaming gets moved to a theatrical release, like what Disney did this year with Young Woman and the Sea.

@@FinnHutcherson Eh, I’m pretty sure that’s just part of it, the other part of it involves them seeing the movie and believing it’s good enough to be on the big screen.
I was very worried about this one. More than any other upcoming Disney movie, but after that first look. It looks ok, but I’ll give it a go.
Yes! This is a remake I can get behind, because they actually put in the effort to make Stitch look as he did, just CGI instead of primarily hand-painted, AND they kept the personality of taking over the ad, just like they did with him showing up in trailers where he inserted himself into other Disney films. I really hope they do that again, more than just this ad, because it worked so well before, and they can run one normal trailer just fine, but give us the other ones too.
I hope this live-action remake of lilo and stitch will be great!
Me too it’s is one of my favorite movies when I was little I was 3 when the first movie came out
Something else that I love about this reveal is how they handled the introduction. Similar to how Stitch was originally introduced when the animated film was introduced, we see Stitch break into a theater with all of the other animated characters, and basically destroy the experience. There's even an experience at Disney's Magic Kingdom in Florida where you sit in a chamber of the Galactic Federation's prison transfer and Stitch, or rather Experiment 626 appears as an animatronic, of which was really impressive when I saw it. And in this case, with the D23, they managed to incorporate Stitch's more erratic antics and have him basically run around backstage and steal the show in the only way he knows how. It's clever and perfectly attuned to who Stitch is as a character. And the fact that Chris Sanders is returning to voice him, that makes it all the better. He doesn't miss a beat, and it looks like he still has the best lines.
Lilo and Stitch is a personal favorite film of mine and while I’m glad the design doesn’t look horrible, I still think a live-action version of this film is unnecessary and I’m very tired of Disney making live-action versions of their classic animated movies
Same here. I’m definitely avoiding this remake like the plague. I’m tired of Disney cannibalizing itself with these soulless unnecessary remakes and/or sequels/spin-offs.
@@Ribonchan Ditto...everything has to be made MORE BETTER-ER!!!...*sigh*...this is why we haven't heard a real recorded singing voice in decades...everthing song released these days has to be auto-tuned and pitch corrected.
If this movie makes a lot of money, I hope the sequel is about the other 625 experiments. If they’re gonna show Dr Hämsterviel in the post credits, I’ll be excited. 💥👏 and hey, think about. Without that story, you’ll never get to see Angel in a live action remake.

I'm glad they went with the Detective Pikachu route for his look and also glad it's going to theaters instead of Disney Plus like originally. L&S is a popular and beloved franchise to this very day. They did the right thing giving this the big screen treatment.

Whoever designed CGI Stitch took a cue from the Sonic the Hedgehog debacle and gave us a realistic CGI Stitch that would be a direct translation of the original character instead of the "this is what [such and such] would look like in reality" we've seen in the late 00's- early 10's. You know what I'm talking about. Those designs from The Smurfs, Garfield, Scooby-Doo, and the Chipmunks. Now, I'm a fan of the original movie and the various spinoffs, I'm not exactly looking forward to this one, but at least they gave us a Stitch that retains his cute yet homely, sweet, yet vicious appearance.

Whatever happens, I hope this doesn’t come out the same day as the live-action version of how to train your dragon which is coming out early on in June 2025. That certainly would’ve be a good competition if that’s the case. I’m interested to see how that live-action version turns out as well.

What if they got Dwayne Johnson to voice stitch for the live action remake?
I would be looking forward to this upcoming live-action/CGI remake of "Lilo & Stitch", if it's only going to be a little different than the original animated film. I mean, if I was the director of this new live-action/CGI remake of "Lilo & Stitch", I would make it less harsh and less difficult by changing the beginning of Lilo's story. For instance, Lilo's original friends, who didn't like her, wouldn't insult her and Lilo wouldn't beat up one of them; they would just turn their backs on her and Lilo wouldn't get angry but sad. Also, there would be no Cobra Bubbles and Noni and Lilo wouldn't get into a fight; Lilo would just tell her older sister about her friends turning their backs on her and that she wanted someone to be her friend and that would be when Stitch falls down from the sky and lands in front of their house.
Hey look you have a different opinion and that’s fine but the point in the original is that Nani and Lilo are supposed to feel like a real family that lost their parents, there are a ton of kids who are or were just as mean as those little girls like Mertle, and of course being a little girl with an older sister being the only family you have left while she tries to get and keep a job just so CPS doesn’t take you away from her forever and maybe an extra friend of your sister after both your parents died in a car crash would be pretty hard to adjust to even if it’s been three or four years although in their case it probably was a year later after their parents died,so her wishing for a friend when she doesn’t have any because you know Mertle and her “friends” are really mean despite her being an orphan living with her older sister is heartbreaking, but she finally gets a friend to be with her and who later becomes a part of her family along with two more aliens. Also if you’re going to be a writer I hope you have the best of luck to you and have a great day.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

However, you made a good point, but I would still make it less harsh, because I don't like harness nor getting into trouble nor anything like that.

I tell you the truth, I never had such a brutal prediction that this would happen. Already with the lion king and the little mermaid it was obviously Disney and they are going to make the best movie of those years IN A LIVE-ACTION!!! I can't believe it XD.

This, Snow White and Moana are basically the only ones left. Disney is heavily cutting back on the amount of content they’re making and others like Bambi, Hercules and the hunchback of Notre dame too.
Back in February Sean Bailey the man responsible for all of the remakes left the company. So things can start looking up.
I rather have an animated sequel to the original film. A lot of the scenes won’t translate well into live action

I almost feel sorry for the people dumb enough to watch these live action remakes of animated Disney movies. I hope I'm dead by the time they start doing that to the Pixar movies. Could you imagine a live action remake of Toy Stoy? Or finding Nemo? You know it's gonna happen.
