Why 2060s?
Osamu Tezuka died in 1989, and the copyright will be protected for 70 years from that date. That means the copyright will remain in place until 2059, and Walt Disney Animation Studios will be able to plan a remake of the Tezuka work from 2060.

It is not a new Lilo and Stitch film. They are just making the original story live action. A new Lilo and Stitch would be a prequel or another sequel and it would be a cartoon. We are getting the same story with added stuff that is not needed in live action format
