Thanks for the video. Just a quick comment on UnderSun. I ordered a set of their bands in July 2023 and they seemed great. Then one broke within a few months of light use and another started to degrade. Customer service has been unresponsive for over a month. I'm seeing now that others are having a similar problem with quality and service. I don't know if they switched manufacturers and customer service teams or what, but something isn't right.
I got my first set of the orange in March 2020 and then got the army green when they became available later that year. I then immediately noticed the orange had stretched quite a lot. I also started seeing them crack and eventually snap. I've had a couple snap in the middle of an exercise. I think I've had 5 or 6 snap now after 2 1/2 years. The Undersun bands, when I first ordered them, I also ordered the TA2 build program and have been using that program ever since, supplementing with other exercises I've learned about, watching TH-cam. In June of 2021, I got a full set of the TRX bands and couldn't believe how much better they are and use them almost exclusively now. They too have stretched and I have replaced the stretched ones with new ones, where now I use, for example, the stretched medium for my first set and then the new non-stretched for my second and third set, then go back to the stretched(lighter) version for the final fourth set. Both TRX and Undersun have replaced my split bands, only having to pay for shipping.
I've had plenty of Bodylastics bands snap, and they're supposed to be very strong. It seems the older they get, then they start breaking down, tearing. I've had the handles pull off, too. Thankfully, no bad has hit my face, thanks to their inner cord system. I was thinking of the UnderSun bands, but I think I'll hold off for now.
odd that you've had them snap. Be careful not to keep them stored in a really hot car for long periods. I had some tube bands in my car trunk for months and it caused them all to become darker, and two of the skinnier ones snapped. The dry heat is not great for bands.
@@monkeyb1820 My bands were never stored in a hot place, or a car trunk, etc. A couple of them broke shortly after I bought them. I've had the bands tear, or handles have pulled away from the bands. A couple of them became a bit on the brittle side, which meant they had no strength left and they broke apart. Again, none of them have been exposed to high heat. All of the lighter bands (3, 5, 10, 13 pounds) have broken, and I've had the same for a 19, 23 and 30 pound band. I'm going to try the UnderSun bands and see how they go.
Currently using Undersun ones, but I do find that Quantam & Clench Fitness (same manufacturer) provide a bit more resistance and also have a tendency to fray less. I have snapped at least 4 U/S bands. Thankfully they have a lifetime warranty. I do use their gloves & upgraded bag. Can comfortably fit 2 sets of bands in there.
Hi Dave, enjoy the content. I have Undersun bands - very good bands, terrific support etc. I have Clench bands and handles - again very good. I'm also pre ordering the clench workout platform, that's new tho their product range. I like both sets of bands. I also use gymnastic rings and a crosscore suspension system (by far superior to TRX). I use a hybrid approach I suppose and utilise key resistance strategy like isometric, progressive overload and dropsets. I believe variety and intension as well as brevity and consistency are the keys to staying strong at my young years of 63. Train to get and stay strong peeps! Keep up the good work everyone! PS. RED DELTA has some kick arse strategies for bodyweight techniques!
Bought the orange Undersun bands in Feb 2020. Two of the bands broke on me last year. I never used them around anything sharp and wasn't rough with them or overly stretch them (I'm just a 120lb female) yet they developed a bunch of tiny tears along the edges and also stretched out. The bands I used the most were definitely longer than the less used bands which made them useless when pairing 2 bands together for certain exercises. Will be looking elsewhere for my next set of bands.
I've been using Sunpow bands for the past three years, and recently, the X3 Bar, and as a former competitive bodybuilder, I couldn't be more happy. Great vid as always bro.
I use Clench Fitness bands. They were a little cheaper in price. They are high quality bands. I have been using them for over a year now, without any issues.
Their gloves are really good. I’m just glad they finally made a pair that fits my hands. Their original versions were way too small. In their place, I had good luck with Mechanix gloves because they have just as much protection. I still prefer Quantum Bands because they’re layered & not molded, but I do like some of Undersun’s accessories (like their gloves)
@@DisciplineDave I think you would like them... I have Undersun bands, Wodfitter, and Clench bands. Even an X Bar system. The Wodfitter bands are as good as any of them

Some bands specify a "weight" range (from minimum to maximum stretch) rather than a single number. And yeah, same here: The Nike gloves I had once upon a time unravelled pretty fast.
Would you review SUNPOW bands? I hear they're very to UnderSun but review disagree on which is better. I'm looking for a set of bands (doctor recommended them over weights) but there are so many options. Right now I'm looking at UnderSun because they have a 40% its summer sale and people seem to like them
Considering how expensive these bands are, that bag should be free of charge if you're buying the bands. Also unlike other companies, this set doesn't come with the XX heavy band. Other companies will include the XX heavy band and the drawstring bag for free for less than half the price of Undersun bands.
Ive said it before Dave....you really need to try/review Clench Fitness bands. They are NOT available on Amazon, you need to buy direct. I used to love Undersun too and they are still in my top 3, but Clench bands really raise the bar. As far as accessories go the undersun Door Anchor and bag are still the best. The gloves I have not tried. Clench makes some amazing accessories like band handles which make the bands behave just like dumbbells' if you wish and they are amazing for deadlifts as you can stack bands on the handles. They also make thick handled grips for them . Recently they introduced a foot plate to attach bands so you don't have to anchor them on your feet. I short Clench bands definitely need a look in Dave. They offer awesome deals/discounts as well.
Honestly most people don't want to hear this but as far as the weight I'm looking forward to maxing out Slower after tremendous results ults so I know exactly what band to use on each exercise and can increase reps Weight mount is cool but also convenience of knowing grab this band and do it this many times it's pretty cool too Wait amount is cool but also convenience of knowing grab this band and do it this many times it's pretty cool too. I couldn't even do one Bicep curl on number 4 position on x heavy before and could do I think 12 on the heavy heavy but now I can do 4 on extra heavy on 4 within just 2 months

did Grage send some goons after you? j/k, he seems like a righteous dude. Iron infidel and a few others are probably just as good--but James puts out some good videos. I actually like the bright orange b/c I use my bands outside and the camo colored bands would be very easy to accidentally leave one behind, whereas the orange are extra visible (the orange does become more subdued over time).

They have a lifetime warranty also, kinda hidden on their website
Another good point
did Grage send some goons after you? j/k, he seems like a righteous dude. Iron infidel and a few others are probably just as good--but James puts out some good videos. I actually like the bright orange b/c I use my bands outside and the camo colored bands would be very easy to accidentally leave one behind, whereas the orange are extra visible (the orange does become more subdued over time).
they all snap in the end
Not these th-cam.com/video/zvKbTmq5rOA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=nwrQ0JphqY1zmWA_
Bands don’t hit my chest like I want , but otherwise I like them
Even though the numbers aren’t comparable to the same weight in free weights, I’d rather have numbers than the words light/medium/heavy etc………
Cool 👍🏾
