This car is going to do great for Cadillac. They knocked it out of the park. They improved everything I didn’t like about the CTS and kept everything I loved. This will be a winner. Gorgeous interior and exterior design! Can’t wait to test drive!

Cadillac has been able to give the buyer an excellent sedan with great styling and a luxurious interior. I’m looking for a sedan right now for myself and my wife. We lease vehicles which makes them a little more affordable. Now at a little over $50,000 this is still out of my range but I can see that this vehicle will attract buyers.
Richard Rybarczyk obviously you don’t realize that a fleece is the most expensive way to operate a car. You are basically paying on average 14% interest rates. Check out Dave Ramsey’s videos on TH-cam.
appleiphone69 ........while I would love to drive around in a vehicle that costs $1000 it’s just not practical. Why don’t you ask Dave what he would do to insure his family has reliable transportation that won’t leave them on the side of the road for people to prey on them. Do you suggest riding a bike? I agree with a lot DAVE says but Im not going to have my wife sitting on the side of the road with all these freaks driving around. She has to drive reliable transportation and a lease gives me that feeling she’s safe.
Wow! What a fantastic car! I also happen to agree that the CT5's trunk space is underestimated. I haven't seen one in person, but even just seeing it in this video, it looks plenty big. I also appreciate the wide trunk opening. That's why if you're buying or leasing any vehicle; sedan, coupe, SUV, truck, etc, I highly recommend checking one out in person instead of going by the numbers. Keep up the good work. This video was really good.
Hi Mike 🙂. I'm a 4 door sedan man, and I think it's wonderful some auto makers have not abandoned this segment. I'm looking forward to your review on the VW Atlas Cross Sport, do you know when it will arrive in dealerships? I'm driving a 2014 Jetta, love my car and want to keep it, but I add another vehicle. I really like both the Atlas Cross Sport and 2019 Audi S4 in Navarra Blue. Mike, on your channel have you reviewed a 2018 or 2019 Audi S4? Have a pleasant weekend.
Huge improvement for Cadillac! Maybe next year they'll have a hatch model!?!?! I'll be looking for a Luxury car within a year, so I'll be looking at the Cadillac. One design flaw, however, is the C-Pillar, what's up with that... not crazy about the looks of it at all. Looking forward to visiting the Cadillac showroom...
Not a CTS replacement. It's now competes with the A4, C Class, 3 Series, etc.. This is supposed to fill in the ATS and CTS space. The is a CT4 that will compete with the A3 and 2 series and A Class. They are larger on purpose but price at the class they compete in pricing.
Cadillac are a great blend of luxury & performance.I would like to see removable seat cushion bolstering.so if you were on a trip you could remove the more aggressive bolstering & opt for comfort.either that or a system that could internally pump up or dn. the bolstering.not bad for 50k.

“If you want to compete with Audi or BMW, you need to have the same layout” What is he talking about 😂😂😂. Like since when did German automakers only make good layouts for luxury cars?
To make sedans a bit more popular. Just shrink the front and rear overhangs and make it a little taller. Which is what they did with this car. That will not scare buyers away and make them feel like they are buying a late 1970's sled.
Good video, very informative, but I wish you would have taken more time commenting on the seats. Are they comfortable, subtle, adjustability?? Biggest factor in my decision to buy any car is seat comfort. Just a suggestion!
I can tell you, I have the CT4 and the seats are so so comfortable. My back doesn't hurt anymore when driving! Very luxurious. Definitely a luxury interior! I don't regret buying mine. You can adjust them to suit your needs. It took some learning to figure out where my comfort zone was and now I have it programmed into the memory. Push the button on the door and good to go
The CT5 is bigger than the ATS. They're blurring the lines. This car does place the CTS but is smaller and the CT4 is replacing the ATS. There is no model between this and the XT6 so this is a CTS replacement and he explains this in the video.
@@bobbycalifornia7193 No. The CT5 was designed to compete in the D-segment car class where the 3-series, C-class and old ATS occupy. The CT6 is in the E-Segment where the 5-Series, E-class and old CTS occupy.
Bobby California You’re wrong, moron. How are you going to tell Cadillac where their vehicle competes?? The CT5 replaces the ATS and the CTS since it now takes the place of the ATS and competes head on with the BMW 3-series. It replaces the CTS in the Cadillac lineup but not a replacement for the CTS’s segment which would be where the CT6 competes. Yes, they’re “tweeners” due to pricing and size but this information isn’t new.

It has some nice exterior design features but everything aft of the B-Pillar needs a redo. Doesn't work together cohesively to create a particularly attractive vehicle. The C-Pillar window stuff going on is way too busy and cheap looking. I'm not a BMW fan but I question whether someone considering a 3 or 5 series will seriously take the CT5 as a viable alternative. Online sentiment from current happy ATS & CTS owners - I belong to Facebook Groups - leans toward disappointment for this to be a non-compelling follow up to the CTS.
@warriorpluto A GM engineer is not pulling in millions. Remember, this is GM - Maybe all the engineers in aggregate amount to that. However it's quite apparent as JDN pointed out, that GM's approach is to build a supposed luxury car in the cheapest way. And it shows.

“An interior that matches the Europeans”? Except for the scroll wheel and a different shifter, this is very little different from what I have in my 2018 CTS.
