We saw Ronan for his first show on New Years Eve after our dinner, he was great and a proper showman, we also loved the 6 street diner too I think we ate there 3 times in the end
Wow - I can't believe you got someone as 'famous' as Ronan Keating in there - that's fantastic! I've only tried this venue on Britannia, but genuinely have no idea who was performing in there during my cruise, ha!
Hi Fraser! We were very surprised at the entertainment onboard, it was fantastic! Some people didn’t have a clue who Matt Cardle was, I suppose we were just lucky! 😆 Good luck with your year at sea, we will be watching! Very exciting 👍
You should have gone into the Grand Hotel, upto the 17th floor where there is a coffee shop with stunning views over the island. We can highly recommend a visit.
As an American who has never had Chicken & Waffles, they are definitely not a breakfast item. Maybe P&O got confused in translating this to non-American tastes. @14:47 I would totally wear those shirts once my close friends (who know me well) would take my overly conservation clothes and toss them aside. This is how one goes on holiday. Total Respect! 🙌🙌🙏🙏
Hi Chris! 👋 I agree, not a breakfast item at all! 😀 Quite possibly, P&O perhaps do not have the best understanding of American food! They are trying 😂 Thank you, fortunately P&O have a few casual nights so the shirts weren’t a problem 😀 Hope you’re well 😁
@@TomandDomTravel I'm feeling the pressure of getting as much work done before my Princess cruise on the 23rd of April. My Princess medallion arrived in the mail yesterday and my to-do list is getting smaller. I had a terrible cold last week and contemplated invoking the travel insurance but am feeling much better. Just goes to show some people have made the art of regular cruising a no-brainer. I don't know how both of you do this and never look frazzled. Thank you for checking-in. Maybe when I get on the ship it will feel like I am truly on vacation. 🛳
What a great jam packed evening. What time did the Freddie act start if the theatre was 10:30? 11:30? Really nice to see so much going on all evening and into the late night!
Thanks for your comment! 😀 We found the entertainment on Arvia to be absolutely fantastic, there was always something going! Josh Henderson had three performances as Freddie in the Skydome, 8, 9.30 and 11. 😀
@@TomandDomTravel thanks for the reply. That’s great that you don’t feel that you may have to miss much because you want to see someone else with so many repeat shows. Great for family’s with early shows but equally really great that the entertainment goes on as late as it does! I’m booked on Arvia next year with my family and cannot wait! Your vlog has been really good to get a such a detailed insight into all aspects of the cruise!
@@TomandDomTravel It seems hard to deny the quality of the entertainment selections on P&O cruises. Since you have been on Cunard and Princess, I am trying to figure out how they compare. Not sure I am the right demographic for Virgin but trying to keep an open mind. What are your thoughts about P&O entertainment relative to their competitors?
Hi Chris! This is a good question! 😀 On Princess the production shows were good but we felt there should have been more, only 2 on a 14 night cruise! The guest entertainers were good and they did include a celebrity or two as well! On Cunard we felt the entertainment was more traditional, Beetles tribute! It’s hard to compare the three, Arvia is so big and had so much entertainment that suited all tastes! 😀
Got to admit of all the nights and shows we went to, I thought the limelight was the worst. Food wasn’t brilliant, better available elsewhere. Entertainment started over half an hour after everyone had finished their meal, it was a bit too staggered. Formal wear was a joke I got suited and booted only to watch some clown walk in with a bright green tshirt, footy shorts and flip flops and no one stopped him, a joke.

Afternoon tea is available in the buffet or at a cost in the Epicurean. We experience the latter in our latest vlog
