Later in this video, I explained dead tracts peritubular dentin, intertubular dentin, sclerotic dentin (transparent dentin or intratubular dentin), and age changes within the dentin.

Can you please tell me in the very first diagram containing odontoblast enamel and dentine, the portion in yellow colour in the bottom what is that????
Thank you Bushra for the query in the very first diagram the yellow colour at the bottom with different yellow shade is the Predentin (unmineralized dentin).

Mam, please tell me if there would be no predentin, then how will dentin lay down?
there is always a layer of predentin (organic matrix) for mature dentin to form.
Thanks u
You are welcome.
how come in my text book the peritubular dentine is the same as the intratubular dentine?
Histological structure is same. The pertubular is more mineralised
Thanks to you mother for teatching us thes ites hard fore me too study 😏😜🙄🤔😥
You are welcome 🙂.

Mam
Dentin which is cosidered as peritubular dentin???
Intertubular
Intratubular
Dear Jannat;
Neither of these.
The peritubular dentin is the rim of dentin surrounding the dentinal tubule.
If you still unable to understand do let me know please
👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much 🥰
Maan i think peritubular dentin is also known as intratubular dentin?
No both of them are different. The dentin which occludes the tubule is the intratubular dentin
@@DentalEducationHub ok ma'am thanks
@@Ueser-HUSSNAINJAVED you are welcome feel free to ask questions and do share our videos with your friends :)😇
Can I ask, what's the difference between sclerotic dentine and tertiary dentine? Are they the same thing?
No, sclerotic dentin is deposition of dentin inside tubules. While tertiary dentin is deposited at an advancing edge of the dentin.
@@DentalEducationHub I am not sure what's the advancing edge of dentin. Can you elaborate a bit? Thanks :)
@@zihaowu4637 near the pulp
@@DentalEducationHub Do you mean tertiary dentine is deposition of dentine inside the dentinal tubules near the pulp
or
deposition of dentine outside of dentinal tubules (at intertubular dentine) near the pulp?
