HI IV GOT A QUESTION, WHAT KIND OF BLACK LIGHTS DO THEY USE IN STRIP CLUBS? ID LIKE TO MAKE MY BEDROOM SIMILAR BUT NOT SURE WHICH TO GO FOR. ANY ADVICE????
Hi, I plan on painting a wall in my son’s bedroom as a fake brick wall. I was thinking of using fluorescent paint for the grout lines that looks a creamy white in regular light, but then glows blue under a black light. Would I have the same issue as your globe in this video or will it glow just fine with a standard black light? Also can I get away with a CFL type bulb instead?
@emanuel torres Sounds like your painting with fluorescent white? If so, you won't have any issues. The paint I used on my globe ball was invisible clear paint, which needs 365nm in wavelength to react. If it's just 1 CFL bulb, you might have coverage issues. Be careful of cheap knockoffs from like Walmart or Home depot.
UV Black Lights Thanks! I’ll probably go with two cfl bulbs in that case. I rather use some preferred light fixtures than to throw off his wall decor with the long tubes on the wall. 👍🏼
If u want white grout lines, try WF titanium white and dilute from there. It has a bright white color in white light as well as as supremely flourescent color under IV light
I just ordered the ADJ Products UVLED48 Startec Blacklight Bulb, 48 and I was thinking about taking their lightbulb out and replacing it with the wildfire LED one the one you’re advertising do you think it will work? Before I order the wildfire LED tube they look the same. Just need a fixture to put it in. And I was thinking that would do. I’m using text to speech I don’t know how to spell very well and I hope you could read this. But I mainly bought the thing for the fixture. I don’t need their LED tube just the one from the wildfire.

i bought some cheap fluorescent blacklight fixtures from spencer's years ago before they closed down, and the preheat ballast was burning the ends of the tubes bright red until it cooked the bulbs.

I am making a music video where parts of it has to be high contrast and no spil UV light only. I am looking for some powerfull >365 NM LED tubes that are flicker free. Any suggestions? Preferable within the EU.
Hey man been a year since you posted its almost 2023 you should do a update on your LED vs flourecent on what the new LED blacklights can showcase and if flourecent is obsolete now do a side by side of well rated LED ones like chauvet vs sunfire
It’s been awhile for sure. I’ve been super busy and just haven’t had the time or energy. Hopefully I can free up some time next year. Which Chauvet and sun fire blacklights are you talking about? Do you have the model number?
Hi there, I have spent the day watching videos and surfing the web. I keep coming back to you. I can't tell you why as I have read and listened to lots today but don't fully comprehend. I am seeking a few lights for display cases. I have LED blacklight strips but they put off too much light. Flourescent puts off too much heat for my liking, for enclosed spaces. I am assuming you work for the company selling the lights you reveal here as they are too rich for my blood, ha. I wish... So, if I seek a low white light am I looking for a low watt from the bulb apart from the electricity? Sorry, I lack understanding the terminology well enough to use it. I would butcher the language, haha! I don't think people add the light output aside from the amount of electricity. I hope you can grasp what I am trying to say. If I have a 3 way bulb to give out 20, 40 and 60 watts it means I increase or decrease the electricity to work the filament. Blacklights don't work that way. But the white light that is sent out as a violet color can light up a room in violet light. Yours don't because? It has the woods glass, I understand that as it's common in medical practice but still, light passes through. In your video here, it's dark in that room! So, it's due to a lower amount of white light watts? Lol. Sorry, if I am causing confusion. Trying to understand what I seek so I hopefully find it in my price range. Thank you for your time, humorist me and your consideration.
Someone just explained that what I might be looking for are lumens and that 0.5 or less is what I might seek. I display minerals and other earthy things as well as antique glass containing minerals that cause glowing of reds, oranges, greens and blues.
@@grinninmoon3956 Well my room looks alot darker than it really is due to the camera, it doesn't catch all the light if that makes sense. But, to cut out as much visible purple light you want to use 365nm wavelengths, anything in the 375-400nm wavelength you'll get all the purple visible light. If you haven't already, this video explains the wavlength th-cam.com/video/t10pXsKqyDg/w-d-xo.html

you really think that the Creator would create a massive sun to light up the world, and put UV in it that's dangerous? Comes down to who you believe? A benevolent Creator, or well-paid scientist shills.
It’s has to do with the quality of the paint medium as well as the light source. Wildfire is by far he best when it come to vibrancy & pigmentation if your mix tour colors correctly
You want to use 365nm. It's all placement of the blacklight, you don't want it up close as it still does have some visible light, but farther away will help that.

You should make another black light tube video but with a portable black light tube
@jesus portable, like battery operated? I’m not sure there is a thing?
The old tubes were much better. LEDs put out too much purple light.
Fluorecent posters/tapestry etc look best with 365nm or?
Definitely I would use 365nm.

If not mentioned on tube or its packaging.

You can measure it with a wavelength meter.
