First story: it's ODD they didn't find his scent after a profuse amount of rain fell and it had been days? Not really! Dog teams are often misused by departments as they are deployed too late. Dogs are most effective, hence the 70% stat, when they are deployed Immediately on realization that a person is missing. They HAVE to be on scene within the first crucial hours of a disappearance if you want to pick up a scent. And even then, they can be confused. If y'all want to see how they work and what issues can arise you can watch things like north woods law. There's a good episode with a missing man that when they tried to track him with the dog the dog mistakenly followed the scent of the police officer who had been there before instead. This is why it's important to deploy a dog team BEFORE a full blown search and rescue response is mobilized. They need the scene as free from contaminants, and as dry as physically possible. Also I suggest shows like that for a more rounded view, but I will note that I have practical experience and knowledge of rescue situations. My suggestion is just for those who don't to learn things. It is often lack of knowledge that makes these cases seem more mysterious than they really are. You should always walk back in the same trail that you arrived in if you aren't sure were you're going there's no point in continuing to walk in a direction that you aren't familiar with because you will only become even more lost which is why so many people likely never manage to find their way out and its already too late by that point
Makes sense, problem is that if you're unfamiliar with the area, trails look very different from one direction to another. And if the hiker manages to get off trail, or an area that they can't climb back out from, things start to go badly very fast (this happened a lot in the north shore of Vancouver, Google was sending people to a nonexistent trail, which took them down a very steep incline which they couldn't ascend to get back from.)

Park rangers do not like to talk about cases like these and they claim they don't keep track of these disappearances. This is really strange because they would have to pay some searchers, air support, etc. How do they keep track of this without keeping track of who they are looking for? When their books are audited, how do they prove their expenses without keeping track of who they were spending their resources on?

The last case, the guy named Walter, it’s rather apparent that he got picked up by a total stranger in a vehicle on the road, as that’s where his scent trail stopped & could not be regained by Top Dog Sniffing Units. Like suggested by the narrator, Walter either was bundled off bcoz he saw something he should not have seen, or he was abducted by a shady person or people. Again, it adds further weight to not going hiking in the US alone.

I watched a programme the other day, where a man seriously said that he watched a boulder lift up and grab a deer that was walking by, the go back down again. Figure that out, cos I can’t . There are things in this world that we don’t understand and.can never explain. Is literally anything happen?
It’s weird that the park & Governor denied access to the one family. What type of substance can cover up the scent of a person. Is there a serial killer in law enforcement or the state park rangers. There’s many communities police, courts, judges, & so on who will cover up the crimes of certain people. I think it’s also odd. They never figured out the one person they did find cause of death & everyone of authority & state park officials , & even the governor and his family should be investigated. Did the incidents that did happen, all happen over a span of time that could be one person’s lifetime?
We live in the Yosemite foothills. We never go to Yosemite park anymore… Every time I’ve been; I have an eerie, foreboding feeling & just want to ‘get out’ as soon as possible - regardless of its fantastic beauty.

Being an experienced hiker does not seem to have anything to do with whether or not you get lost and disappear in the wilderness. I feel that both of these men had every intention to go to Half Dome changed their minds and went in another direction on a spontaneous impulse. If they were not found on the route to Half Dome, after multiple massive searches with dogs, then it is probable that they were never there. People change their minds all the time. Weather change may have prompted them to try a short cut, too.
By far the craziest park. I love hiking, but this is one park I would only hike alone if searching for the Cynocephali. I am Nahuas First Nations and recently have been made aware that Cynocephali are being spotted more frequently by certain bands/tribe. If you start to encounter fear, praise Yahweh. For god did not give us the spirit of fear.

Roofs collapsed in two of his houses, random flat tires and broken wind shield. significantly worsening health. and many more things.. all after he threatened to push me out to homelessness for doing public ministry and trying to call up family to preach King Jesus to them. i dont know why he cared so much.. i have a video of him threatening to kick me out for preaching to my aunt.. yet he says he loves God and calls me a demon LOL. i have learned not to cast pearls unto swine
The last one has me wondering if he was somehow approached by someone with bad intentions who was driving by. Women are warned time and time again never to get into a car with strangers alone, but guys aren't as much. For all we know, he could have been taken by someone pretending to need help, who ended up taking him to a secondary location to kill him. Terribly sad that no one has found the last two, though. I can't imagine how much that lack of closure hurts their families. I hope they will be found someday and that one day we get even better technology to help prevent these disappearances from going unsolved.
Thank you for all the Hard work you do on these cases. And I also Thank you for being so perfessional not using Cuss words and Swearing in your Videos ❤🙏
I suppose they either were elsewhere when the area was searched previously and ended up dying and succumbing to the elements later when their body was found or someone dumped their body there those are the most likely scenarios imo
I wonder if it is at all possible, to get information from cellphone users that are driving by some of these areas where search dogs lose the scent at a highway. They can track a persons whereabouts during a murder trial why can't they here... Except they would have to get that information from cell towers and/or providers and go from there. They will have that window of time from when they were last seen to the point the search dogs lose the scent. Its probably to much work for the police to pursue that avenue, its easier for them to say the person just ran off somewhere. Pretty much aiding the possible kidnapper/killer.
Isn't Curry Village where Jody Arias disappeare from? I also think that Yosemite Park Employees shut down Dave Paulides from getting any of the information under the freedom of information act. There is something sneaky and bizarre about Yosemite.
No Jody Arias was a teenage girl that went missing in Yosemite on the 80's. It's a very bizarre story if you get a chance look it up. It's odd to say the least.
I'm sorry I put that psycho Jody Arias and it should be Stacey Arias. The teenager that went missing in Yosemite right under people's noses. It's a crazy story there has never been a single clue to what happened to that poor girl.
Thank you for this video,i have watched quite alot about these people go missing,i feel the heads of these rangers know exactly what is going on,and that the dogs stopped at mountain base, could there be people being pinched for experiments,??who knows what Evil is going on in the mountains we are not supposed to know about, just my thought but who knows it has been going on for years yet there dosent seem to be lists of all these people who have fanished pretty odd that i think, have a wonderful christmas and may the new year bring joy and love to you, again thank you,😊❣️🙏
Maybe the base of the cliff wasnt where Orvar began his ascent. Maybe thats the point in which he was abducted. That would explain there being no trace of him in the area indicating he was no longer in the area and why dogs werent able to pick up his scent had he left the area, who knows? Theres just something odd about Yosemite. It has the largest cluster of missing people of any other park when it comes to the Missing 411 phenomenon.
My sister's boyfriend was driving a four wheeler next to me and my sis who were also on one, the tire hit a ditch and her swerved and crashed. A dog trainer explained why there is no scent from people lost in national parks. Most people are wearing thick soled hiking boots 1 inch thick soles of hard rubber. That means no scent is left from the hiker for the dog to pick up especially on rock.
That’s why you never hike alone in any national park….. not because of the weather, or not because of other humans, or not even the wildlife such as predators (bears, wolves, mountain lions) but because there is something in the forest that we don’t know what it is.
Point of order: if the success rate of dogs is 76%, then that's a success rate of 3 out of 4 times, not 4 out of 5. That's actually a pretty high failure rate. If your car only started 3 out of 4 times, you'd expect it to let you down fairly regularly and you wouldn't regard it as "wierd" when it did.
There was a reason within the paper that they scored 4 out of 5 but I can't remember the context. Perhaps in the future I'll do a video focusing on the search dog aspect and I'll see if I can summarise a bunch of studies to get to the interesting parts

The best is when someone pipes up about "I've been to Yosemite and it's easy to get lost." type of sh*t, like they know more than professional search and rescue. There is someone on EVERY page, saying this or that, coming up with explanations that are just dumb. Something dark is going on.
Yeah. Honestly, it is weird that some of these people have just never been found
You're telling me!!! Whew!
@@superdoublekapowzler2383people are unnerved by things that have no logical explanation. They'll almost always say the person was lost, or eaten by animals. They want there to be a normal reason so badly, they'll get upset about it all. I'm not kidding.
@@RandyBaumery-s4i And it's strange they even look for "expected" outcomes, in a society largely driven by militaREsearch & business moguls -- information is suppressed all the time - blessings actually, may be suppressed, as knowledge is power. And what good is fear anyway, when we can't influence 2/3rds to 3/4s of things that occur around us? Perhaps these folks transporteDimensioNature by accessing some frequency! Gotta embrace adventure, to have chance at being authenticly stable anyhow...
Sage advice, it could save someone's life.
When I was there I had two separate very unusual experiences. Some strange energy.
What did you experience?

Has everyone noticed that nearly in every case, there is a form of bad weather after someone disappears? Like heavy raining or snowfall.
Almost always.
Leads one to wonder if who or watever is taking some of these missing persons, knows to act before bad weather can cover any trace of the missing.
@@elg3cko Many of these missing people spend long hours of their lives harvesting crops for the brewing of the greenish lizard-like overseers (with big whips) favorite brew, which after when drank, only adds to their ill tempered ire.
‘Bout time, I’ve greatly missed your signature fatalistic accent. Potent sketches as well! Thank you
Thanks again for a great upload Adam! Always enjoyed listening to your wonderful voice.
You should make a video about the cryptids lurking in the Yosemite National Park because they are responsible for the missing in the Yosemite National Park.

Happy holidays to you. i'd love your videos I love the stories. you do an amazing job of telling stories fully and completely without repeating yourself. you're one of the better TH-cam people out here. Keep up the great work.
Much appreciated, I'm glad you think so!
Oh! I remember thus! That year thevweather was insane! A lot of people got stuck and had problems. Also there was a lot of flooding during the next year because of the insane snow pack melt and the snow lingered! I got my my bwheel drive stuck manyntimes but always managed to get it out. I remember that year as super scary abd VERY cold in the park!
Little Yosemite Valley - (elevation 6,100ft...) - 1: Never Hike alone 2: Give full Itinerary/ETA's to another person 3: Prepare for sudden temperature/weather changes - None of these Cases are "Mysterious" - they're all perfect examples of what NOT to do at Yosemite.

Yosemite N.P. has had it's share of Unsolved Disappearances, many fall within the Parameters of David Paulides' 411 The Missing. He's also been stymied by the Yosemite National Park Service for Information. Got to be something going on there the Park Service doesn't want the Public to know about. Good chance it involves Cryptid Activity.
Very good work, as usual! 👍Merry Christmas!

I have started to believe that there are some unknown forces at play in the wilds that especially affect people when we are alone. I think the old legends might be part of it but they may only scratch the surface of what is truly going on
definitely bro. i used to travel deep in the woods by myself, no phone, no gun, not even a stick for protection haha. oh to be young again.. thanks to you tube i learned my lesson from afar
I watched a programme the other day, where a man seriously said that he watched a boulder lift up and grab a deer that was walking by, the go back down again. Figure that out, cos I can’t . There are things in this world that we don’t understand and.can never explain. Is literally anything happen?
Sad to see how just 100yrs ago humans had so much better survival skills in the wilderness then we do today.
Interesting cases. Apart from David Paulides is there any "clearing house " collecting this information?
We live in the Yosemite foothills.
We never go to Yosemite park anymore…
Every time I’ve been; I have an eerie, foreboding feeling & just want to ‘get out’ as soon as possible - regardless of its fantastic beauty.
Cougars will disappear people quite often, & if you are injured or become incapacitated then you can even be taken out by everything from Coyotes to Black Bears. Many of these people possibly never stood a chance.
This just came up on my feed and I subscribed. I've been watching thousands of these type of videos for years. I think it's prehistoric birds of prey taking them. Even an eagle can pick up a pig.
I don't understand how people show up in areas already searched. I do unfortunately how easy it is to get turned around in the woods
Awesome sauce from l.a ca how serendipitous, I checked your channel last hour. Merry Christmas and God bless
If you research further you will find that they are the reason canine lose the trail.
HalleluYAH praise God. I've been dealing with poltergeist activity forced to live with my unsaved dad and i've seen things that would get me sent to a looney bin if i were to tell anyone. i know we dont wrestle with flesh and blood. its still tiring dealing with these demons that my unsaved father carries around with him. strangely enough all these horrible things keep happening to him and he even told me he thinks my mom used witch craft on him or whatever.. yet he refuses to pick up the bible or heed to any Godly advice..
Yahweh? Yahweh is satanic
If you wipeout all the supernatural mumbo jumbo then what you have is sinkholes or subterranean caves with thin canopy covering the top.
Jody Arias, the killer?
Wanted him to pay for it, I believe is right.
No Jody Arias was a teenage girl that went missing in Yosemite on the 80's. It's a very bizarre story if you get a chance look it up. It's odd to say the least.
@@melodysmith307 I looked and didn't find anything about Jody Arias going missing in any park.

Thank you missing void.

My sister's boyfriend was driving a four wheeler next to me and my sis who were also on one, the tire hit a ditch and her swerved and crashed. The uneven rocky paths and no cell service are no joke, it took a while for the ambulance to arrive. He's in the hospital right now, docs are thinking about a concussion and broken wrist.

A dog trainer explained why there is no scent from people lost in national parks. Most people are wearing thick
soled hiking boots 1 inch thick soles of hard rubber. That means no scent is left from the hiker for the dog
to pick up especially on rock.
first off you do not need a history of amnesia to get amnesia as you stated.. secondly these youtube advertisements are becoming ridiculous
Yosemite is a huge cluster on that map David Paulides made.
Interesting how most disappearances have something to do with bad weather that sets in.
I just want to know what the narrator's accent is. I still can't figure it out but I'm guessing somewhere south.
It's a Yorkshire accent but even others from up north have a hard time placing it!
Agreed. Plus sometimes these statistics might not have been properly gathered.

You know what would be smart is, if they trained these dogs to bark the number of times that they pick up multiple cents on a missing person's trail. So that way they know if there's a third party involved
