    People who say PtN is edgy obviously haven’t experienced the story. It’s filled with Honkai Impact 3rd levels of depression, but not from sadness, but knowing the characters will continue to stay strong no matter what happens.

    Sad how this game is massively overshadowed by Nikke

      i knowww, it's such a shame!! alas, it's the gacha food chain..

    It was a very clever presentation of the game, related in the context of mobile gachas, a platerform that is often very predatory and unrespectful to players.
    This should be an obliged aspect to think of deeply, whe someone want to present a gacha, especially when there are a lot of young people who discover videogames through them.
    I think you should put ingame screens or gameplay to make your presentation more engaging.

      answering the last part first since it's quicker, i definitely plan to use more actual in game footage! didn't necessarily work this time because of how many "system ui has stopped working" screens i ran into, but i'm honestly considering asking my friend to record some footage of her screen and send it over to me next time 😅
      honestly- as much as i enjoy my gachas, the predatory nature quite a few tend to have in regards to spending is concerning. that's a large reason why i've found myself enjoying path as a 100% f2p player, since at least when it comes to gacha currency, objectively the most dangerous thing to spend real money on, i've never once felt like i needed to because of how much you can naturally get or at all pressured by the game!

    Very neat and clean review of the game and the best one. You really are underrated. I hope you get more subs and views for your hardwork.

    Welcome back! I tried Path but couldn't get into it. I'm a gay man so if I'm indecisive I just play the "I'll keep playing if I snag a male character early."
    You can imagine the number of gachas I've dropped lol.

      oh NO that's painful 😭
      honestly it's such a shame how many gacha games have a ridiculously tiny amount of men!! i may be bi and may love my women that could crush me (hellooo zoya) but gacha gods know i'm holding onto mr. fox for dear life!

      What gachas have you found that tickle your pickle? As far as I know PtN only has like 3 guys.

    Thanks for making this! Very fun and well edited presentation which said everything it needed to. Already had this game on my mind from the fanart, but I've finally given it a try today and it's neat! I was in a haze and skipped a lot to hurry up and pull for Rahu, but the aesthetic is really fun and I actually do want to go back and properly read through the story :) I am not immune to lesbians, and I am not immune to propaganda.

    I have given PtN a shot when it launched, but between work, regular games and Arknights, finding time for a second gacha ain't happening.
    Also, welcome back stranger 👋

      @voyydless  ปีที่แล้ว

      oh that is SO valid, can't blame you at all, when i had a job i felt bad for my gacha games because they were just sitting in a corner and collecting dust :')
      and hey hey! great to be back! 👋👋

      But PtN is probably one of the best build to play it at side game. With sweep for everything (Oblivion Pit will come soon) it's not long or a chore to connet to get all the ressources needed then disconnect. It's one of the most respectful gacha I know. and the gacha is not bad neither.

  • @Gonzalodestroyer

    I play PtN, is good, the story is a shitshow but in the good way and is weird, im f2p and have all(most) all the characters (minus 2) im on the end game atm and is kinda hard to farm some rss in the early game but that is in all games, i give it an solid 8 almost 9 with some updates

    • @voyydless
      @voyydless  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      calling the story a shitshow in a good way is the perfect description! like.. first couple chapters, you have a feeling you know where this is going or at least the general vibe, then shit just ABSOLUTELY goes DOWN and does not stop!!
      also f2p here (only missing 5 characters, hope to complete the collection some day), and i totally understand. while farming is quick, boy can it take a while to fully level units! i'll never forget the day i first leveled someone to 90 and saw i needed 180k mania essence for a single level....

    • @DragonX5536
      @DragonX5536 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Luckily, everyone is telling people to NOT upgrade to level 90 as there is barely improvement :) I believe most agree p3 70 is more than enought for even Endgame contents. Ofc simping status is another thing xD

    Oh nice, though I doubt I'll play more than one gacha because money issues, I do think this one looks really nice.
    Are you doing another one for other gacha games?

    • @voyydless
      @voyydless  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      100% fair!!
      and yes! might make this a monthly/every-other-monthly thing, while other than ak and path there's only one other gacha i play consistently (fgo), sometimes i impulsively download new ones and play them for a little while until i come back to my senses, so it'd be fun to turn that into a little series!

    Great overview of the game! The presentation was clean and well organized. I disagree about the impact of crimebrands though. A sinner’s power can be massively amplified with the correct crimebrand set (for instance Eirene with Embrace of the Dead is literally 140% as effective as Eirene without said set). I agree that a good sinner is still good without any crimebrands though.

    • @voyydless
      @voyydless  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      first of all, thank you!! and that's a very fair point, crimebrands can certainly greatly increase a sinner's strength, but thankfully they're not a "make or break" sort of deal. would having an eirene with an embrace of the dead set make her quite a bit better? absolutely! but some people (cough, me, cough) don't have the best luck when it comes to crimebrand drops, and she's still an excellent unit without it!
      imo, crimebrands are the way gear /should/ work in gacha games, great buffs with them, though without being something that's /necessary/ for a unit to be considered good

      @@voyydless Embrace of the Dead can only be bought in Broken Front Line(BFL) shop. It most variable set from there. So, no luck needed to build Eirene to her glory state(expert her s1 and s3).

      @@voyydless I just got the grasp of how powerful crimebrands are after i tried to do a proper team comp this week, and i've been playing for around 5 months.
      It's like night and day.
      Couldn't get more than 200k points against shackled boss, then after some tips from the community i did 230k (same characters). With the knowledge i learned i did 245k points against Maiden boss while my record was 220k.
      So they're REALLY strong, but without fine tunning they will seem like just a small buff.

  • @Dragons_Armory

    Umbras are the fast melee assassins.
    They get in lightning fast then you have to extract them out before they get swarmed.
    They are essentially glass cannons, because they specialize in one of the most powerful abilities: Core breaking.
    Because this essentially is able to tear even bosses down they are made very brittle and without oversight they will fall very quickly if they are surrounded by enemies.

    • @voyydless

    Just dropped the game for Star Rail. Played it longer than I expected, because it is so easy to log in twice a day and farm for like 5 minutes.
    The game is just exactly opposite of the stuff I prefer. The characters all looking like straight out of a Kpop video, finicky gameplay (I don't know how often I had to restart maps because I moved the wrong unit on my phone), the high score list, and the 'trendy' style story and character writing (too old for that speak). All stuff I really dislike.
    (also this games hypersexualization is also a turn off for me)

    • @voyydless
      @voyydless  ปีที่แล้ว

      that's fair!! while most of the people who've commented seem to either have a positive or neutral/haven't played stance, hearing negative input on it is always interesting!
      if you happen to see this reply (not sure if youtube changed something, but as of my last couple videos i simply do not receive comment/reply notifications unless i actually check youtube studio), what have you been thinking of star rail so far?? it's one of those games i'd love to check out, but just like genshin and it's predecessor honkai, my phone does NOT allow me to get past the in-game installation screen 😅

    • @zomfgroflmao1337
      @zomfgroflmao1337 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@voyydless I wouldn't say that I have a negative opinion, really, I think the game is high quality, with good voice acting and an interesting world (although it doesn't come close to Arknights, but no game really does, the lore in Arknights is so insane it can compare to some classics like LotR imo) that makes the presentation a lot more modern and I really enjoyed the modern comfort functions, like auto farming massive amounts very fast. I just don't really like the style, the modern Kpop sex trophy waifu isn't for me. I like my characters more grounded and combat ready (my favorite brands in Arknights are the survival/fight related ones).
      So the game never really gripped me and in the end I ended up skipping through a lot of the (side) story stuff. Never really finding the time or interest to read through the film crew stuff (for example), even though my account basically has all characters bar two.
      Honkai Star Rail is interesting, so far I enjoy the game, but I can already see it falling into the same problem that Genshin fell into, aka the main drive is the exploration and story and these are slow to come out, leaving you with nothing but farming once you hit the end of the actual story, but at least they took a page out of Arknights book and added a Rogue lite mode. The characters are also very not for me, going full anime whacky with characters that use guitar cases or coffins as weapons, but with the very over the top artstyle it feels more fitting there.
      In the end they are just filler for me while I pray for a global release of Reverse 1999. That game will most likely become my second gacha, with the potential to dethrone even Arknights given enough time. It just oozes style and quality, and it has an insanely high quality british dub already.
