Llew I found your channel through Dadcars. Got nothing but respect for the deal you gave Ben, lovely thing you did. Look forward to catching up on your previous videos.
Thanks for the support! Ben is a legend and we're really happy he's had the car, he deserves it (and let's be honest no-one wanted him to buy another BMW :D )
Came over from the video Ben did on the car, what an amazing thing you've done for a fellow Car Enthusiast. Dropped a subscribe and definitely going to check out more of the content.
Just subbed from Ben's channel. Mustang owner with an interest in Vettes so I'm looking forward to working through your back catalogue as well as new content.
Nice! What sort of Mustang have you got? Hope you find the vette content interesting.... I had a 5.0 V8 2016 Mustang for a while but didn't really do much with the channel in those days! :) Thanks for watching and for the sub!
Wow Llew , what an excellent altrusic thing youve just done . I was expecting / guessing , you had sold it to a wealthy enthusiastist on the Mediterranean for an all expenses paid trip , only to take it down South and then ask for a lift to the train station 👍 Really great job - fair play to all involved .
Thanks Dave!! I wish I had sold it to a wealthy enthusiast on the Med! What a road trip that would have been eh!! :) Ben's happy, we're happy and now we get to waste ten grand on something else fun !
You could've flipped that and made money. But, some things are worth more than that (and Gawd, I hate car flipping channels, anyway). Top man! Liking this channel even more.
Thanks Simon! You're right, we could have made money on it... We just wanted to save it (and of course hoon it around for a while, which we also enjoyed doing!!)
@@Auto_Funk I preferred the pop ups, but don't mind the 300ZX headlights. Look better on a 300ZX though. I want to see Lamborghini pop ups on a 300ZX instead, but the intercoolers would be in the way. 🙂
Hope I'm not pissing on your chips but have a look at 4:05, the boot is shut but the bottom of the light cluster ( on the boot lid ) doesn't line up on the right side like it does on the left side, not sure why
Hi Richard! It’s like that because it’s a Maserati… 😅 Just kidding - I had a look at that clip and I can see what you’re saying because on camera it doesn’t look right. In real life it’s perfectly lined up. I think it might be because of the camera angle and the lamp design. Thanks for watching!
Such an amazing car, Gran Turismo by name and certainly by nature. A truly great Gran Tourer. To be honest, I'm a little sad that you didn't keep it. It's a great place to be. Ferrari engine, luxury interior and a great engine sound. But, it at least went to a good home and hopefully Ben will be able to drive it up and down the country with his family
Hi Adam! It is an absolutely amazing car, I would love to buy another one at some point... I am really looking forward to viewing Ben's journey with it, I know he has lots planned for it. We're looking at what to buy next... What do you reckon? Answers on a postcard... :)

@ yes it reminds me of a Corvette that’s why we like them bub! Just like a 1990 ‘s Mazda RX-7. The Japanese copied a C5. Those guys never came up with their own innovations. They just made our shit better lol!
Great video. Really like the Maserati. As for 27 Mpg is a bit rich for a 50 mph cruise down the motorway. Italian cars very thirsty. You should be looking for about 30-35 mpg for a GT Cruiser. Still a very nice car though.
Here's us thinking 27mpg was decent!! To be fair our Corvettes (see other vids) easily do 32-34 mpg (UK) on a cruise which is surprising since they are 1 litre larger engine capacity than the Maser. Thanks for watching!
Oh yes! Works well :) :) The car needs new bushes really though, it isn't handling that well at the mo - Plus we still don't fully trust the brakes (more on that coming in a future video :) )
Sorry about that! If you want to see more make sure you give Ben a follow - We are actively looking for a replacement, any ideas? We are thinking - 997, Vantage, Lotus Elise, Possibly a Corvette C3 ?
Ben is absolutely stoked and I’m sure that you’re glad that it went to a good home. I think the repair is superb. I don’t think that should have been a Cat S imho.
Hi Lew/Chris, loving the content ! I have a question for you as I hear so many low insurance quotes for some of the exotic cars, I have been quoted £1300 cheapest on money supermarket to insure a XF s (272hp) Jag...yet I'm 73 doing only 3k miles yearly with long licence with just an SP30, any ideas ???
Hey Alec, Chris here... Thanks :) !!! Insurance is something I've always struggled to understand... For example when I informed them that my XJS Celebration did indeed have an alarm I was expecting the quote to reduce. It did in fact get more expensive by £10. Bizarre! Putting the car in a garage would appear to be safer but that puts the price up too as they assume that you're going to damage it on the way in/out and your mountain bike is going to fall on it. One thing is though... its all based on assumptions. Exotic cars are often cheaper to insure because they're often driven very differently to daily drivers same with classic cars... They assume you are using the car in better weather, more for pleasure than commuting, more likely to be an enthusiast and look after the car, have better tyres etc.. Cars that can hold more people are often more to insure too because you have essentially a higher risk of injuring more parties. They assume it is not your baby and just a car your using until it goes wrong, less likely to be maintained perfectly etc. Some insurance companies look at your vehicle portfolio and make judgements, someone I knew who worked in insurance told me to buy a prewar vehicle and put it on my policy because it makes you appear to be a mega enthusiast in their eyes. What you need to do is appear to be a car enthusiast and approach companies aimed at enthusiasts. Footman James has always been good to me and I've been with them for nearly 20 years now. You might find you can get better quotes by joining a Jaguar enthusiasts club with some insurance companies and mentioning that. They're often not too bothered by one speeding infringement.
She does look very nice, but Ben will need to fit some wheel spacers, front wheel inset looks like an E Type… my camber is bad now I fitted lowering springs and now wheels look too inset again, another job. Anyway I thought you were going to use the sat nav then, I used it once - never again… Anyway nice what you did!
Agree re the spacers, the wheels really are too far in - I guess there must have been a technical reason (maybe to prevent too much spray / tyre debris going on the body?)... Ben will fit some spacers I reckon! As for the sat nav, I didn't even attempt to use it!! I do quite like the infotainment though in a weird way. Looking forward to more updates on yours !
Hey Dom! Thanks buddy - I got your email by the way, I'll reply to it later today... :) Not sure what will be next but we are looking at a few different cars... What would you like to see?

Is it me? Or, do modern Masers look like Jaguars and modern Jaguars look like Fords? Compare the MC20 to the Jaguar C-X75. Well done and charitable, in the spirit of Christmas!
They sort of do a bit... Like an XK in an Italian suit perhaps! The CX75 does look a bit like the MC20 now you come to mention it... ! :) Thanks for watching!
