He did it for his family he had a Mayan wife and sons that was his reason to make the switch and it’s totally understandable

How does that make sense. He became Mayan first. Earned their respect. Then had got a Mayan wife. He married a chieftains daughter. Well after is integration into Mayan culture

@@Totaro77Exactly. He did it cause he wanted to and cause his heart & the new life he chose was with the Mayans, not because he had to do it to save his Mayan family as if he didn’t have no other choice, while he got his Mayan family cause he decided to become and was accepted as a Mayan, to start of.

I'm sorry I'm late to the party but the answer is just region aztecs were further north. Not in the Yucatan to my knowledge.

@OptimusPrinceps_Augustus that's always the response. Huh. It's not a reason to wipe out almost a billion natives which I am descended from. If u say that you can say the same about the people who were killed needlessly in Germany by the government in ww2. So if u say that they were killing one another or should of fought harder the same fan vecsaid about those people also. Read the Bible which I'm a believer in they were innocent throughout their history also.
