Thank you, this is exactly what I needed to hear. I’m still relatively new in my investigative journey into Ayawaska before I drink the medicine myself. As you can imagine there was a lot of apprehension and fear. But after watching this there’s a lot less fear and I feel many steps closer to partaking in the Ayawaska experience

Also, you said something in this video that is incredibly important.
These medicine people in the amazon not only have years and decades of personal experience and rigorous training,
They have centuries and maybe even millenia of cultural experience passed down to them. We have none of that in the united states. none. so when you have a church in the US run by some white guy in texas that drank ayahuasca once, this guy has no clue what hes doing and its incredibly reckless and very dangerous.
We in the west tend to think we know better because we understand the science behind ayahuasca but that practical personal and cultural experience is very important. YOU, reading this, as a westerner, have none of this experience with this substance so you need to be very careful who you do this with.
that is an excellent point made in this video

    • @mark2073

Do not go down this route…all psychedelics are mind bending and as such can have terrible effects. Why do you want to use them ? To solve problems, to get high or to have an experience…? Think seriously as all suffering is caused by craving for something to happen or not happen that is happening now. To overcome one’s suffering takes diligence and an ethical path…with this, lasting happiness is not possible..there are no quick fixes. These medicine men may have years of experience but that doesn’t make them infallible…..you really have no idea. Said with compassion and wish for others to be happy in the way that is authentically possible..there are other safe ways.

Very good video- I wish there were more doctors and other teachers like this !
I feel like a lot of us "grow up" the way we are taught by whoever is around us and that doesn't necessarily mean our minds and ourselves actually develop...so we are not very "grown up/ know who WE are" deep down.

You're analogy was excellent. I have panic attacks stemming from health anxiety and the fear of death. I have taken every prescription probably and they haven't helped. I'm 49 so there's not much left to try. I think maybe this would help but my fear is a bad trip. And maybe ending up worse after. I can't risk being worse but i don't know what else to do. How do you deal with the bad trips or if it's going opposite the way you wanted??? What if I find out I'm not a good person and it makes me a bad person after? I have so much pent up anger, regret, and sadness. I worry those pups bring them out in a bad way. I've only ever done weed and alcohol. Always too afraid to do anything else. Everything else was worse so I didn't do it. Your video is very comforting and id probably make it through if you talked me through it lol.

Have you looked into Ketamine by IV in a highly controlled clinical setting with extensive talk therapy preparation first? If you live near a big city, there should be a clinic near you. Especially in the Western U.S. If you get into trouble they can get you out immediately by adding Ativan to the drip. It it a much shorter experience than Ayawaska (45 minutes) with great potential for therapeutic insight. I am looking into it for severe concussion therapy. Best wishes to you in your journey!

Yes. These three experiences (sexual abuse ,relational trauma and the loss of a loved one) are things we’ve successfully helped numerous participants navigate during their ceremony in the past.
Plant medicine has the potential to help you find deep peace and forgiveness - if you’re willing.

I’m 24 and have dealt with depression for 5 years now. 2020 I got out of depression but I fell back into that hole once my mother died in late 2020. I have been dealing with horrible anxieties and depression. 2 years later now. I’ve tried mushrooms at the most but only about 2.5mg. I’ve had good experiences. I have been reading about Ayahuasca and I really want to try it.

    • @AyahuascaRetreat
      @AyahuascaRetreat  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Thank you for your openness. Depression, anxiety and the death of a loved one can be challenging experiences and it can feel like we’re left with nowhere to go - or no guidance to get through the intense waves of emotions.
Mushrooms can be a great teacher - and create enough distance and acceptance between you and your emotions for you to start learning to navigate them in a more balanced way.
Ayahuasca- if you’ve been feeling the calling- can be a stronger, yet loving guide deep into those places we dare not look by ourselves.
My mother was suicidal and it was the medicine that got her out of a very deep hole of depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, poverty, resentment and more.
And like her, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing drastic transformations in people who decide to come and drink medicine in a safe setting, guided by reliable shamans.
      So whenever you’re ready,
      We’ll be here

    is beyond fucked
    and is completely toxic,
and I don't know how to get out...
and if I DO get out,
    I have nothing.
    - I am a failure in every aspect of my life.
    - I'm old now, the future is hopeless...
    - I recall the past and it fills me with rage.
    - I live in poverty.
    - fat/diabetic.
    - how the fuck am I going to change my life around?
    - perpetually single, without friends (my whole life).
    - C-PTSD/INFJ/HSP/SPD
    - people I love, got that horrific c-19 jab and I am terrified for them.
    - panic panic panic...

But, I feel the pull of this tremendous potential, not so much for myself, but for my struggling sister. It's as though she has been struggling to tread water, in this ocean of life, for many years. For sure do not take this stuff alone home. I did it many years ago, and it absolutely destroyed me. Massive truama. For the better and for the worse. The trip is much tougher to deal with than DMT. Its an interesting terapeutic tool to use in the right setting.

Of course there are risks for most people to drink alone .. but if you had experienced high dose Psilocybin and Ayahuasca with shamans than you can do it on your own the rest is ego either it is journey inwards ..of course the brew has to be brewed with proper intention and a sitter is almost a must ..the rest is culture , tradition , and guru bullshit we need the tools by ourselves..

The problem is most people can’t handle their darkness ..they don’t diet they don’t move or breath properly they don’t clean their guts and body out ect. If you diet properly ,meditate and do breathwork you are ok for Ayahuasca does not matter where ( home setting of course) I mean why should a shaman protect one from his own darkness when he has to go trough it anyway ..makes no sense to me :) BUT you have to be a strong human

For those who are merely curious about the psychedelic experience, then Salvia Divinorum is a better, safer choice. The experience lasts only minutes instead of hours and is every bit as profound as anything else can be. Still advisable to have a "sitter", and people have been known to freak out on salvia as well. The brevity of the "trip" is the safety factor. The user's mind set should be positive and not fearful and they should not have any present worries or problems as these will only be magnified about a zillion times during the trip. I do NOT recommend it for ANYONE under age 20 or so.

100 % disagree, in fact salvia is not even a phsycadelic. The plant is composed of opiate-like compounds with dissociative effects.
Also there is no ego dissolution with salvia.
I am only writing this for people not to expect the sort of possible therapeutic effects found with an actual phsycadelic compound such as DMT, Psilocybin, Mescaline, Ayahuasca
Salvia is completely different impossible to compare

I have done almost all the major enthogens and my salvia experience, a 1/4 of a gram of 80x, was the most powerful psychedelic I have ever done. Keep the user away from windows and exposed elevated spaces because salvia can make the user feel like the world is closing in around you or your being sucked into a object and people will jump to avoid being consumed by the world around them

In our community, there’s retreats that start at $300, and some nearby medicine houses have public ceremonies that start from $20 per night.
This is extremely affordable - given all the work that is involved in preparing and serving the medicine.
Most people , however, would rather rack up alcohol, partying, substances and even healthcare bills than set aside the money to get to the root of their issues.
Healing isn’t free, but remaining stuck in dysfunction will cost us our life.

    Drug addicts

    • @AyahuascaRetreat
      @AyahuascaRetreat  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Nobody is addicted to drugs - people are addicted to escaping pain (which can take the form of overworking, eating too much/too little, engaging in consuming toxic relationships, and then alcoholism and substance abuse.)
The addiction isn’t a problem but a second class solution people are finding to run away from themselves and their pain.
Ayahuasca happens to be one of the natural remedies that -when used properly- allows a person to recognize the root of their addictions and heal them from the core.
It’s easy to say “drug addicts” without taking in the time to educate ourselves about the why behind addiction.
The simple person resorts towards judgment in those areas where their intelligence falls short to try and understand.
