Was on Oxy's for 9yrs,.. took a heroic dose of shrooms,. and the universe told me to get my life together, or i would be in a dark despair that i felt to my soul. I went cold turkey on the pills, got dopesick for 4days using vodka as a crutch. Then i quit drinking,. then I quit sugar, processed foods, and now eat only protein, fruits and low carbs. I meditate, float, workout with kettlebells and do yoga and breathing exercises. I still take psychedelics and use weed products,... but my life is 100x better than it was,.. Ayahuasca was mind blowing for me. I found myself in a world where swirling colors created a mesmerizing kaleidoscope. Time stretched as I explored cosmic landscapes, feeling a profound connection to everything. It left me with a deep sense of peace and wonder, realizing the limitless potential of the mind.
I did Aya 2019....I had the two serpents wrap around my body until their heads were level with mine, then beautiful flowers poured out of their heads and all of a sudden i shot up into the universe surrounded by infinite stars where i was one with all and all with one...I was filled up with love and was laughing/crying with joy. I saw Thoth, ancient gods, cats, flowers, the matrix grid, light, myy dna codes and symbols...until the 3rd cup, i left my bod thought i was dead and had a panic attack but even that was teaching me . I went to work 2 days later(hadn't told anyone) like flys to a light bulb everyone was drawn to me telling me how good I look, asking me if I had boxot! I felt my self glowing , i was so light I didn;'t touch the ground, i had more energy and was over weight at the time and slowly naturally lost weight as I wasn't over eating. So much healing took place...

I met him just after my leukemia went into remission the first time and I was backstage at the comedy store and was introduced to him and he was told about my cancer and that it had gone into remission and he just came up and gave me a huge hug. One of the things I like most about Joe's podcasts is his ability to let the guests talk and be the focus. He's also a great audience for other comedians.
Great story and well told. I have drank Ayahuasca on two occassions. The first time as a recovering alcoholic and that entity I purged then shook for four hours feeling turned inside out. By morning I felt the greatest peace ever in my life.

Happy to hear Ron stopped drinking I'm sure the family he has wants him to live a complete life. I stopped drugs almost 13 years ago and am grateful everyday. I'm on board for any treatment that can help someone.
I've been on and off drinking, recently taking another break because every time I stop it's because I've drank myself into an atrocious darkness. I'm grateful that I've been able to succeed on my own, but I think a big part of my success has been that I took relatively small amounts of LSD for a week straight, and the consistant buzzed feeling helped with the withdrawls and cravings for alcohol. I've got some undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues, too, and psychadelics have really helped taking the cutting edge off of them. I probably still need standard treatments but it's nice to be able to sort of cope on my own.
So glad for you both. We all have things we self-medicate, but accepting ourselves as flawed human beings, and working with the good bits is a huge step Keep on, both of you. Be around people who love and celebrate you in all your flawed glory. God bless you and keep you. 💕

Ayahuasca is definitely life changing, I did it in Peru 3 years ago, my mental and physical health was suffering and just one time drinking it completely changed my perspective it’s kinda like being reborn again and not recognising who you were before.

The issue is, the people who overuse them, and do odd things (but are happy to do odd things) because they are intoxicated and did not use moderation (moderation is key to this topic, i know this well). I was a smoker for more than 20 years (14- 35) I finally quit 2 years ago going to be 3 years in February 25… cold turkey! I got a little cold and didn’t have the urge to smoke for a few days and said to myself “nows the time”. I had to keep pushing off the cravings .. and within 2-3 weeks the cravings were barely there … Quitting wacky tobaccy was the best thing iv ever done. In short, like you said “Don’t start”
Rogan is such a great interviewer, just for the fact that he never interrupts his guests and lets THEM tell their stories. A very underrated but important trait to have. Need more people like Joseph Rogan in the world!
Joe gets down with the mind-altering substances. Seems to be one of his favorite topics. Calms him down and he listens intently. Plus, who doesn't love an interesting story told by Ron White ... such a good conversationalist.
It is NOT like: "Hey I took Ayahuasca". YOu have to prepare for at least month:"special diet, no coffee no alcohol" and for the best results daily meditation to have the maximum effect. Otherwise you will have an effect, but not that extrense cleaning and life changing exerience.
Hit me hard when he talked about the woman having a difficult time and coming out better. So happy for Ron and anyone who finds peace through this (or any) experience.

My friend on ayahuasca shat his pants as soon as it was starting to hit. Then he went to bathroom and was cleaning his jeans in a bathtub when a portal opened up. He said he was looking away from it saying hold on I’m not ready 😂 Then the rest of his trip he was wearing wet jeans.

I went to Peru to do Ayuhausca 7 years ago in a guided trip with translators. 90% of people that were in my group were there because of Joe Rogan. I see he continues to send people to the jungle with his podcast.👏👏👏

that was easily one of the best joe rogan clips ive ever watched in my life. ive been in a similar situation (just at rehab no iowaska) but the people i met there and the conversations we had felt like i was meant to be there like he said. It felt like a big sigh of relief after one of the longest and darkest periods of my life. I'm sure coming off hard drugs had a lot to do with it, but being around people who are focused on your needs and don't judge you is so helpful in every way. i wish we had more access to places like these without having to get to such a bad place to begin with. i wish more places were like that in general. Just beautiful spoken by this man i heard joe say this conversation was great but i had little to no knowledge of who ron white was and im very glad i got here from the theo von iowaska clip im definitely going to listen to this episode now. the way he described it brought me right back to smoking cigs late at night out by the fire all going through a similar journey that we could to relate to eachother with while being on completely different ends of every walk of life. it was beautiful and really helpful to teleport back there for a moment the day after my childhood pet passed away and that blackness is having another go at me as we speak. very much appreciated i think i will return to this video periodically and if you read this whole comment i appreciate you thank you for being interested enough to read what i have to say. you can do hard things. we all can. together.

stay strong, I was clean for 3 years then relapsed. I doubt I will again but there is no denying that drugs feel good and get their hooks into you. You have to try to only remember the bad, and forget any good feelings they gave you. in perspective over time, the bad always outweighs the good.
I ate capansias and mescaline for 11 months in a cave at 11390 feet up pikes peak in Colorado springs to get over my PTSD and literally lived as a cave shaman with a sparce supplies and bow and a Bowie knife and my training it was the game changer for getting my head heart and life back...
I did the same thing in the maroon bells wilderness. Conundrum hot springs behind aspen. You should go there someday if your in Colorado and nearby. That whole hike to and back from the springs is the closest thing to a church I’ve ever ever experienced.

Not gonna front: I like Joe, even if at times he is, as he himself will point out, an idiot. But Joe willl interrupt the _fuck_ out of a guest. What makes Joe a good interviewer is that he has an instinct for letting the guest be interesting.
Joe is the best listener I've ever seen. Most people would try to pipe in their own thoughts or questions but Joe just keeps listening. It's hard to do with people who talk slow. We listen, at least, 2X faster than people talk. Our minds then wander and we quit listening. Joe seems to have found a way to just listen.
Same experience. My friend started running around his driveway running on these big piles of gravel, and I felt like i was watching myself from 2 feet behind, like I was playing Temple Run or something😂

It lasted 8 hours for me, went to rainforest though. I literally passed out, most people in my groups can't get up without help. Sounds like you got a low dose both nights. If you go through the death cycle, where you think you are really dying, then go through the acceptance, then go through the storm then end up 'there', then you have had the experience. Otherwise, you owe it to yourself to try a different group.
After doing ONE breakthrough DMT session, and meeting "God", or a being that could certainly be perceived as "God" I truly started to believe psychedelics are the key to the next step in human evolution.
I don't think human civilization would be where it is today if it weren't for psychedelics. I really believe they've played a fundamental role in our history and evolution as a species.
Really interesting to see his transformation. On past episodes, Ron gave off a mean vibe, but there's none of that here. At the end, he even managed to smile and to look rather happy.
I feel the same way too. I put too much on my plate and it definitely affects my stress and anxiety level.. I am also glad to be a part of this community.
The Trips I've been having have really helped me a lot,I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well
DMT gave me that huge wave of love that was so powerful and bittersweet to leave but my god I never would have gotten that off of something like Psilocybin or LSD. Giant Octopus entity with infinite tentacles in a purple like vortex showering me with understanding so much love. When it started to end I held my arm up as if to grab it and it told me it'll appear before me again.
Glad you kicked the poison Ron. I over came dropping out of school and destroying myself for ten to twelve years. Mad a decision to change an did it. The trip may have helped me see it all more clearer and help wake me up. I helped a dying friend and something got given to me that changed my life for the best. Was on Oxy's for 9yrs,.. took a heroic dose of shrooms,. and the universe told me to get my life together, or i would be in a dark despair that i felt to my soul. I went cold turkey on the pills, got dopesick for 4days using vodka as a crutch. Then i quit drinking,. then I quit sugar, processed foods, and now eat only protein, fruits and low carbs. I meditate, float, workout with kettlebells and do yoga and breathing exercises.
I still take psychedelics and use weed products,... but my life is 100x better than it was,.. All thanks to mushies! ~EDIT~ Thank you everyone for all the kind words and shared stories!!!~

I did Aya 2019....I had the two serpents wrap around my body until their heads were level with mine, then beautiful flowers poured out of their heads and all of a sudden i shot up into the universe surrounded by infinite stars where i was one with all and all with one...I was filled up with love and was laughing/crying with joy. I saw Thoth, ancient gods, cats, flowers, the matrix grid, light, myy dna codes and symbols...until the 3rd cup, i left my bod thought i was dead and had a panic attack but even that was teaching me . I went to work 2 days later(hadn't told anyone) like flys to a light bulb everyone was drawn to me telling me how good I look, asking me if I had boxot! I felt my self glowing , i was so light I didn;'t touch the ground, i had more energy and was over weight at the time and slowly naturally lost weight as I wasn't over eating. So much healing took place...

One of the things I like most about Joe's podcasts is his ability to let the guests talk and be the focus. He's also a great audience for other comedians.

Great story and well told. I have drank Ayahuasca on two occassions. The first time as a recovering alcoholic and that entity I purged then shook for four hours feeling turned inside out. By morning I felt the greatest peace ever in my life.

Happy to hear Ron stopped drinking I'm sure the family he has wants him to live a complete life. I stopped drugs almost 13 years ago and am grateful everyday. I'm on board for any treatment that can help someone.
I've been on and off drinking, recently taking another break because every time I stop it's because I've drank myself into an atrocious darkness. I'm grateful that I've been able to succeed on my own, but I think a big part of my success has been that I took relatively small amounts of LSD for a week straight, and the consistant buzzed feeling helped with the withdrawls and cravings for alcohol. I've got some undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues, too, and psychadelics have really helped taking the cutting edge off of them. I probably still need standard treatments but it's nice to be able to sort of cope on my own.
So glad for you both. We all have things we self-medicate, but accepting ourselves as flawed human beings, and working with the good bits is a huge step Keep on, both of you. Be around people who love and celebrate you in all your flawed glory. God bless you and keep you. 💕

Ayahuasca is definitely life changing, I did it in Peru 3 years ago, my mental and physical health was suffering and just one time drinking it completely changed my perspective it’s kinda like being reborn again and not recognising who you were before.

The issue is, the people who overuse them, and do odd things (but are happy to do odd things) because they are intoxicated and did not use moderation (moderation is key to this topic, i know this well).

I was a smoker for more than 20 years (14- 35) I finally quit 2 years ago going to be 3 years in February 25… cold turkey! I got a little cold and didn’t have the urge to smoke for a few days and said to myself “nows the time”. I had to keep pushing off the cravings .. and within 2-3 weeks the cravings were barely there …

Man idk why I was tearing up watching the last half of this. I think we all have pain from our past. And older I get I feel my past haunts me. I wish there was a place to go and feel like a new me and hit a reset button. Maybe one day I'll be able to make an experience like this happen.

that was easily one of the best joe rogan clips ive ever watched in my life. ive been in a similar situation (just at rehab no iowaska) but the people i met there and the conversations we had felt like i was meant to be there like he said. It felt like a big sigh of relief after one of the longest and darkest periods of my life. I'm sure coming off hard drugs had a lot to do with it, but being around people who are focused on your needs and don't judge you is so helpful in every way. i wish we had more access to places like these without having to get to such a bad place to begin with. i wish more places were like that in general. Just beautiful spoken by this man i heard joe say this conversation was great but i had little to no knowledge of who ron white was and im very glad i got here from the theo von iowaska clip im definitely going to listen to this episode now. the way he described it brought me right back to smoking cigs late at night out by the fire all going through a similar journey that we could to relate to eachother with while being on completely different ends of every walk of life. it was beautiful and really helpful to teleport back there for a moment the day after my childhood pet passed away and that blackness is having another go at me as we speak. very much appreciated i think i will return to this video periodically and if you read this whole comment i appreciate you thank you for being interested enough to read what i have to say. you can do hard things. we all can. together.

stay strong, I was clean for 3 years then relapsed. I doubt I will again but there is no denying that drugs feel good and get their hooks into you. You have to try to only remember the bad, and forget any good feelings they gave you. in perspective over time, the bad always outweighs the good.

Joe is the best listener I've ever seen. Most people would try to pipe in their own thoughts or questions but Joe just keeps listening. It's hard to do with people who talk slow. We listen, at least, 2X faster than people talk. Our minds then wander and we quit listening. Joe seems to have found a way to just listen.

It lasted 8 hours for me, went to rainforest though. I literally passed out, most people in my groups can't get up without help. Sounds like you got a low dose both nights. If you go through the death cycle, where you think you are really dying, then go through the acceptance, then go through the storm then end up 'there', then you have had the experience. Otherwise, you owe it to yourself to try a different group.

I feel the same way too. I put too much on my plate and it definitely affects my stress and anxiety level.. I am also glad to be a part of this community.
The Trips I've been having have really helped me a lot,I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well

DMT gave me that huge wave of love that was so powerful and bittersweet to leave but my god I never would have gotten that off of something like Psilocybin or LSD. Giant Octopus entity with infinite tentacles in a purple like vortex showering me with understanding so much love. When it started to end I held my arm up as if to grab it and it told me it'll appear before me again.

Glad you kicked the poison Ron. I over came dropping out of school and destroying myself for ten to twelve years. Mad a decision to change an did it. The trip may have helped me see it all more clearer and help wake me up. I helped a dying friend and something got given to me that changed my life for the best. Never would’ve had that blessing given to me had I not changed my ways of living
