I struggled for over an hour playing around with the collision and particle distance and trying to tie the initial knot over and over again. Only when I switched from GPU to CPU simulation could I tie a knot without particles of the two ties not passing though each other. Where can I read some specific articles about when to use GPU and when to use CPU in instances like this? GPU simulation is much faster and cleaner looking but it looks like it can't handle processes like this. Thanks in advance!

GPU should only be used to quickly visualize something. CPU is going to be more accurate. Here is more information. Feel free to search in our forums for more information. support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016295514-The-simulation-result-is-different-when-using-GPU-Simulation-

How can I make sure that the knot does not get untied when adding motion. Freezing the knot is not working as the knot is fixed globally and not locally to the body. Pinning is not always working with motion as there are too many parts moving around, depending on the motion.

Try sewing or tacking the fabric.

I'm sorry... I am not sure what you are asking. Does your question relate to an issue with this particular video or something related to "embellishments"?

@@CLO3D yeah, it worked, but after removing the pins from knot, it use to get open, I tried it 7-8 times

it opens every time. I made over 10 knots, always opens up

One of the most important parts of this is to create a Hi Res garment. Please use our forums to explain your issue in depth. support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us

why does it take 30minutes to tie a knot when I can do it in 4 seconds in real life. I feel like I'm fighting this program half the time im using it

This technique takes practice. Every designer here at CLO initially struggles with this.
