M.Frangoulis has professional voice like bell but in this song I prefer performance of Dmitris Basis, with that intriguing voice's modulation, typical for Greek singers... great music !
The meter is far too slow; and you're correct about Greek style- it's called 'melisime', or 'bettering. yes, frango does not do this...

Brava Astra, la penso come te. Pensa che adoro la Grecia, ho tanti amici greci, ho passato le vacanze in Grecia 25 anni consecutivi, a volte anche due vacanze l'anno. Mi sento greca e la nostalgia è così forte che sto male fisicamente. Sono anziana e problemi di salute non mi permettono di viaggiare. Vado in Grecia con il pensiero, tanto è sempre lì.
