For your first time? Damn! If I could say 2 things. On the stars if you spray your finger and flick it on you have more control over it and when it comes to the bridge if you try a pizza cutter ( the circle that rolls ) I think you might find that easier

Are you using just the normal thin canvas boards? Is there anything you are doing to the canvas before you start. gesso etc? Is using the fire for quick dry purposes? Just curious to know your technique. Inspired to try. I appreciate that you allow us follow along with you and your journey

I love the experiments! Don't know if this helps, there is a trope with artists sometimes. they hold up the one paintbrush/ tool and declare "this, i can do it alll with just this one thing! I have declared it! and so it must be." and just because yatta yatta... just passing that on from a teacher of mine some time ago, hope it helps.
