He feels what he plays and if you know anything at all about music you can feel it as well. I can hear and feel some real genious in his playing . Keep up the fantastic work . umm ok i had a job from 2000 to 2010 that prevented me from hearing very much music then retired and moved to asia and the only thing that plays here is crappy pop love songs so im way behind on current music and well anything from 2000 and up
When you play in Drop D you can get away with riffs like this. We all do it. The more complicated it is the more it gets crowded and muddy. Most hit songs are catchy with easy riffs. He's got to tour and play this song 200 times so why make it difficult?
Right? I've learned a lot of Metallica songs and even the ones that aren't drop D are fairly simple to learn and play you just have to be able to play wicked fast

P.S. Good music can be simple. If you look at the main starting riff, you can play it after seeing it two times and it sounds awesome.

I met DJ @ GearFest & he's a really nice guy & a great guitarist. I like him a lot. I prefer his Les Paul to this guitar but the sustainiac is cool.

Yeah he's not amazing. The solo was decent but l learned this in about 20 mins and I've only been playing for 2 years
