i think it is possible to combine two of the ideas that I've seen in the comments. You can add April to the household and make her repair Nina. Cay is so impressed by this that it influence his lifelong goal to become an engineer. So we can save Nina and influence Cay at the same time. Then its Nina's survival that inspires Cay, not her death. Two birds, one stone.
when it comes to Nina, what i'd probably do in your situation is straight-up cheat someone's handiness skill to max to fix her, and then just cheat it back down after. that's completely warranted imo considering that if the game was functioning properly, she'd be alive
Since Cay is going to be an engineer, maybe when he grows up, he learns how important Nina was to the Bell family and creates a replacement to give to Tinker, and Faye could write a book about Nina and her life. Oh wow thanks for the likes guys
Yeah that worked for me too in a save game a while ago as well with a robot that broke down in the rain! (and my robot-builder sim was away at work so he couldn't save them either)

Hi so just commenting again to save Nina since she died because the Sims was being the Sims. Some of the suggestions I saw here in the comments: 1. Reset her, immediately pause and then teleport her into the lot (someone said it worked for them) 2. Add Aprils ghost to the household, make her fix Nina 3. Just cheat someone’s robotics skill to max, fix her and cheat it back down. (Probably the easiest)
Well, this experience may affect Cay to the point, where he starts thinking about how Nina´s death could have been avoided... I think that that would be an awesome starting point of his future career...
perfect reason to make Cay the heir and have a lifelong goal of either bringing Nina back to life or just build a better robot altogether.... with waterproof Caybells this time
There is actually a way to save a robot that's off the lot. You need to travel to a different lot with another sim and let the robot take care of themself for a while, and they should be fine when you come back
It’s sad that Nina died bc the game wouldn’t let you repair her since she was off-lot, but I’d be interested to see how the Bell family evolves without her. If anything, Cay could make another Servo once he’s old enough and makes Nina 2.0

After reloading, during the "stuck glitched phase" of Nina you can try to travel somewhere else with either Nina or with either some1 else. Then invite Nina over to that part of the world. Maybe it helps to "unstuck" her and prevents the damage that lead to her death.
You just needed to cheat Nina’s durability to 100%. I often shift-click and fill needs if my Sims are out and about and I see a broken-down Sim. Nina is unrecoverable unless you roll back. You cannot resurrect a Servo. They disappear from the relationship panel, as you noticed. They have no ghosts.
Revert to the previous save I think you can use the Scumbumbo's Teleport Any Sim to move her inside. You just place the statue on the lot (you can find it in the kitchen clutter menu in sort by room), click on it, and select Nina from the menu. Then you should be able to call a repair person or cheat someone's skill to fix her. Good Luck!
Cheat Cay's skill so he can save Nina and then turn it back down? Or if that isn't possible than someone else's skill. The story could be that April helped Cay repair Nina, and that experience was so inspiring for him that he decided to dedicate his life to engineering!
kayla, i agree with adding April's ghost to your household to fix Nina! it wouldn't be *too* cheaty, since you aren't cheating the skill at all and she's family so it isn't like she wouldn't be down to move back in. then just move her back out again after Nina is saved
You should have Nina go on a quest to “magically” become human. You can make her a human sim with pigtails and a pink dress and then she can live and age with the family like it’s been her wish to all along 🥲
Let Nina die. And then create a sim body for her and “transfer” her consciousness and memories into it. Nina lives on and gets to experience life as a human!
I vote to save Nina at all costs, no matter what needs to be done. I know all of your hard work of the episode would be gone, but you could go back to a point before you last saved (when it was actively happening) where she is fine. She’s honestly one of my favorite characters in the whole series. I started balling when I saw her urn appear.
you can use mc command center to teleport Nina to a sim on the lot to get the repairman involved. Put a sim on the lot -> click them -> mc command center -> sim commands -> teleport commands -> teleport lot sim to sim
maybe if you go back to the previous save, summon april, add her to out household, and then maybe she can repair nina as a ghost??? ive had this thing in my head where nina is just immortal and will be there for the rest of the generations i legit almost cried too. please go back and save her!!!
Idea for how to save Nina: 1- Make a robotic club with only people who have the robotic skill, and the only activity is do robotics/repair robots. 2- Call for a club meeting 3- Wait and hope (I do not own the university pack, so I don't know if it will work. But It certainly is worth a try!)

As much as I loved Nina I think it would be best to just roll with it, but maybe have Cay be the next heir and since he’ll be an engineer he can build a new servo called Dina (yknow, as a reference to the calientes?)
You shouldn’t bring her back. it’s sad to see her go, but the whole point of the legacy challenge is for interesting and traumatic things to happen, and nothing goods happen in a while. it’ll be nice to see how you adapt to this situation
So just an Idea since the glitch that the repair person didn’t fix Nina could be because she wasn’t on the lot you could just try travelling with her (if possible) or another sim and try bringing her to the lot. That way she for sure would be on the lot and you could call the repair person from there. I think that could help with the glitch being fixed. Otherwise I do have to say I really liked Nina but I think it also fits in with the nightmare part of the nightmare legacy challenge that that would just randomly happen 😂 I also think the storyline a few other people suggested is really cool with cay kind of having this as his motivation to become an engineer and some day we could have Nina 2.0 or a Nino and make it a ‚male‘ robot with the name being in honour of Nina

If you've got a high level Spellcaster with Necrocall and Dedeathify you might be able to bring Nina back. On their own, Servos in TS4 don't have souls so they won't return when they die. No haunting or anything, but Necrocall bypasses this if memory serves Honestly I like the idea of calling Stanley's various versions to fix some issues
Oh my gosh, no. No. Nina was doing so good. She was so happy hanging out with the family after dumping Vlad. This can't be happening. The game glitched so bad on this! You should definitely get to fix it!

Build a small box around her to shield from the rain. Add April to household to fix her or if putting a box with a roof over her will help enough to allow her to self repair

After that, I'd try calling the repair tech, cheating robotics skill, adding April's ghost to household...in dire circumstances, one could even try loading an earlier save and replaying the day in a time-loop type scenario - anything for our dear sweet Nina!!!

I had the same thinh happend to my servo and sims didn't have the skill to repair servo, I found that the only option to save servo was to travel to another lot without the servo just for 1 second, in that time game will be "taking care" of the sims at home, so when you teavel to home lot servo should be in another place on the home lot, probably in the place when repair person can repair them
I would honestly cheat one of the sims on the lot into max robotic fixing skill, Save nina and then remove it. It was a glitch. It was NOT natural game play and there was absolutely no other intervention you could take. That sucks. Nina didn't deserve that! I would 1000000% cheat the skill save Nina and then remove it. Nina can't go out like that :(
Faye should become a bard. It ties into her name, she got a violin for Winterfest, and she kept trying to dance in the middle of the night. She could go into the acting or entertainer career and live in a little woodland cottage!
hi, simsie! re: nina, I HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME! with ui cheats extension, you can made nina's needs good(all 1005) and make her go inside REALLY fast or teleport her inside the house, have her run inside then fix her needs. rain makes robots durability go down, if you just have her run with good durability robot will be fine!
you could have another kid and name them Hay Bell….like hay bale. i think it would be a cute nod to Quinn’s love for horses! could be short for Hayley or something :)
I don't know if it's been addressed, but I think Kayla mentioned in a previous episode that the fire toilet hadn't gone off in awhile and: yeah, that makes sense because the family has insects now - the compost that was causing the fires is now being processed through the insect farms, right? Wait, do the toilet and farm auto-link? Or is that something that needs to be turned "on"? Also, I think Cay should take up knitting as a hobby. Like Cables, in knitting. Cabled knits are very chic!

You can travel with Nina to another lot, where it’s not raining or teleport her in the house (can also be done with teleporter mod because the mod completely forces them no matter what they are doing). Please save Nina!!
Just thinking, if you don't want to cheat you can, entirely though in-game mechanics, summon April, invite her to join the household, have her fix Nina and then have her leave. Having a ghost in the household bin doesn't break the regular ghost mechanics - trust me, I know from my own gameplay. You're only problem may be if it doesn't stop raining. If you do try TOOL keep in mind you may have to force reset Nina once or twice to get her to teleport with it, but I've never had it fully fail.
I like Faye, but it's been a while since we've had a male legacy heir. So, I think Cay would be my vote. Spoilers: Also, according to nightmare legacy history, I think it's only fair to let what happened stay as it is. Cay can build us a new robot when he gets older.
per your idea at 1:15 ; i mean you could choose to date bolth of them as a polycule? if you cheat to get the player trait (from serial romantic asperation) then having a polycule is pretty easy; i do it all the time. and much less toxic then dating someone then their twin! :D
RE: leave Nina at the park while the rest come home, use the weather machine to make it clear skies, bring her back and get her inside A S A P!!!!!! our girl can’t die yet
T.O.O.L. mod and move her inside ASAP. Tool by twisted mex. In live mode, pause. Shift click Nina and pick T.O.O.L. in red and then move with alt+click into the inside of the house.
The best way to bring nina back would be UI cheats. Its the fastest way to be able to "repair" her, especially with how broken the sims 4 can be and is. MCCC might also be able to help with a similar thing of cheating her needs up. Thats probably just an enable cheats and right click sort of deal. 100% load up the previous save and stop her from exploding. Another option without booting up the previous save might be to use MCCC to bring her back as a ghost, add her to household and then bring back to life. Im not sure if it works on robots though.
When the repair technician comes, cheat to make them selectable and use them to fix Nina, then make them unselectable again. I've done this when the service Sims glitch and say theres nothing for them to do.
Let it be. It sounds awful, but this is the nightmare legacy. If we start to go back for every disaster/death, it makes every catastrophic incident not be a big deal because we know it'll be undone. Nina's time in the family was great, but just like any sim, this was her time. It wasn't a glitch imo, she went home and it was raining. Unfortunately, as she was slightly off the lot the repair tech didn't help. I'm sorry, but my vote is to leave it be.
I think you should leave Nina's story as-is! I know we all love her, but part of the charm of the Sims (IMO) is the unpredictability and adapting to unintended consequences (rather than trying to cheat away negative consequences). It can spur the storyline to go in interesting directions (or at least it usually does for me).

You could try pausing the game and then reset Nina and teleport her whilst still paused. That way you might be quick enough.

Oh my gosh, no. No. Nina was doing so good. She was so happy hanging out with the family after dumping Vlad. This can't be happening. The game glitched so bad on this! You should definitely get to fix it!
Nina’s job changes made me wonder just how often job changes occur. That would be an interesting Stanley Humphrey episode! Can you get rich by changing jobs?

- Li Bell: mischievous and nosy person, who loves to gossip. Maybe they'll find a successful career path as a journalist or maybe they have a blog where they spill all the tea. (libel)
- Tuna Bell: is musically talented or at least wants to be. Tuna would be nice ode to Dory, as it continues the fish theme.(tunable)
- Audi Bell: maybe they are a quarterback in high school. They have a huge interest in cars. Too bad we don't have them in the sims 4, so maybe they'll have the fear of unfulfilled dreams. (audible)
-Nota Bell: They might be the "black sheep" of the Bell family. They are very noticeable sim, maybe they have really unique style? Proceeds to be a celebrity? (notable, not-a-bell)
- Mar Bell, they obviously have impressing marble collection and as an adult their love for stones and especially marble can be seen in their house decor and in their interest in archeology. Or. maybe they are in to gemology and crystals now that we have the new pack. (marble)
-Sosia(/Socia/or as someone suggested Saoirse) Bell: extroverted and outgoing: how many acquaintances/friends one sim can possibly have? (sociable)
-Intolera Bell: why not embrace the lactose intolerant trait and for once actually make it the sims whole personality? Maybe the name manifested the intolerance to lactose or maybe they identify with it so deeply they changed their name? They are also very difficult to be around. (intolerable)
- Sensy(/Sensi) Bell: as someone suggested to my comment previously, they could be a paranormal investigator as they have good senses for the supernatural. (sensible)
-Stay Bell, a horse lover sim would probably name their child like this. (stable) Or Hay Bell.

I say break the laws of the universe for Nina! She does so much, she deserves happiness! No other servo could compare!!! On how to save her, did you try teleporting her into the house, and fixing her from there? After that, I'd try calling the repair tech, cheating robotics skill, adding April's ghost to household...in dire circumstances, one could even try loading an earlier save and replaying the day in a time-loop type scenario - anything for our dear sweet Nina!!!
honestly you almost crying over Nina reminds me of my old sims Blake and Willow. I cried when Blake died, they were like arg (was a long life span sim). I feel you simsie ❤

I had the same thinh happend to my servo and sims didn't have the skill to repair servo, I found that the only option to save servo was to travel to another lot without the servo just for 1 second, in that time game will be "taking care" of the sims at home, so when you teavel to home lot servo should be in another place on the home lot, probably in the place when repair person can repair them
Add April to the house hold just for a sec play with her as a ghost to repair her

I would honestly cheat one of the sims on the lot into max robotic fixing skill, Save nina and then remove it. It was a glitch. It was NOT natural game play and there was absolutely no other intervention you could take. That sucks. Nina didn't deserve that! I would 1000000% cheat the skill save Nina and then remove it. Nina can't go out like that :(
Faye should become a bard. It ties into her name, she got a violin for Winterfest, and she kept trying to dance in the middle of the night. She could go into the acting or entertainer career and live in a little woodland cottage!
I view Nina as the TH-cam version of Pulp. Never to die and just travel down the generations
hi, simsie! re: nina, I HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME! with ui cheats extension, you can made nina's needs good(all 1005) and make her go inside REALLY fast or teleport her inside the house, have her run inside then fix her needs. rain makes robots durability go down, if you just have her run with good durability robot will be fine!
you could have another kid and name them Hay Bell….like hay bale. i think it would be a cute nod to Quinn’s love for horses! could be short for Hayley or something :)

I don't know if it's been addressed, but I think Kayla mentioned in a previous episode that the fire toilet hadn't gone off in awhile and: yeah, that makes sense because the family has insects now - the compost that was causing the fires is now being processed through the insect farms, right?

Also, I think Cay should take up knitting as a hobby. Like Cables, in knitting. Cabled knits are very chic!

I'd add April's ghost to the household to fix Nina and then remove her again or cheating the robotics skill enough so that someone else can fix her and then change it back. Those are the only two things that I can think of to do. Nina can't go out like that 😭😭

You can travel with Nina to another lot, where it’s not raining or teleport her in the house (can also be done with teleporter mod because the mod completely forces them no matter what they are doing). Please save Nina!!

I wouldn*t mind bringing Nina back. Maybe let someone in your household learn the handiness-skill - just in case anything might happen again.

Just thinking, if you don't want to cheat you can, entirely though in-game mechanics, summon April, invite her to join the household, have her fix Nina and then have her leave. Having a ghost in the household bin doesn't break the regular ghost mechanics - trust me, I know from my own gameplay. You're only problem may be if it doesn't stop raining. If you do try TOOL keep in mind you may have to force reset Nina once or twice to get her to teleport with it, but I've never had it fully fail.

per your idea at 1:15 ; i mean you could choose to date bolth of them as a polycule? if you cheat to get the player trait (from serial romantic asperation) then having a polycule is pretty easy; i do it all the time. and much less toxic then dating someone then their twin! :D
Re: Lack of Ghost/not in Rel Panel - Robots don't have "souls" so once they "die", they are gone for good.

T.O.O.L. mod and move her inside ASAP. Tool by twisted mex.
In live mode, pause.
Shift click Nina and pick T.O.O.L. in red and then move with alt+click into the inside of the house.
The best way to bring nina back would be UI cheats. Its the fastest way to be able to "repair" her, especially with how broken the sims 4 can be and is. MCCC might also be able to help with a similar thing of cheating her needs up. Thats probably just an enable cheats and right click sort of deal. 100% load up the previous save and stop her from exploding.
Another option without booting up the previous save might be to use MCCC to bring her back as a ghost, add her to household and then bring back to life. Im not sure if it works on robots though.

From the horse ranch pack, there was a nectar that can bring Sims back. That would be something for Quinn
When the repair technician comes, cheat to make them selectable and use them to fix Nina, then make them unselectable again. I've done this when the service Sims glitch and say theres nothing for them to do.
Let it be. It sounds awful, but this is the nightmare legacy. If we start to go back for every disaster/death, it makes every catastrophic incident not be a big deal because we know it'll be undone.
Nina's time in the family was great, but just like any sim, this was her time.
It wasn't a glitch imo, she went home and it was raining. Unfortunately, as she was slightly off the lot the repair tech didn't help. I'm sorry, but my vote is to leave it be.

I think you should leave Nina's story as-is! I know we all love her, but part of the charm of the Sims (IMO) is the unpredictability and adapting to unintended consequences (rather than trying to cheat away negative consequences). It can spur the storyline to go in interesting directions (or at least it usually does for me).
