I first heard this band on MTV-U in my college's cafeteria. It was the song "Boy" and I was just kinda blown away by the usage of strings in non-folk rock song. Got absolutely hooked on them. Such memories.
First time I heard these guys was around 2008, a friend took me to a show and these guys opened. Instant fan. Bought their cd. Way better than the headliner. I suggest to you a man by the name of Andrew bird if you like strings used in unique ways. Look up "Andrew Bird - Anonanimal." 😉

I just saw these guys on their last show with Death Cab, and they are just wonderful, wonderful musicians. Alexandra was especially radiant when she played. I'm just really impressed with how much they're in their element when they're up on stage.

It's funny how they made 3 versions of this song. The first being from their album from 2007, simply being called Ra Ra Riot.... The other one from The Rhumb Line. And then we of course have discovery with its "can you discover". It feels as if someone really liked this song to make 3 versions of it... That someone probably being the singer.

Me too. I love this song because the girl I liked played the violin and it reminded me a lot of her. Regardless of the girl, this song is beautiful and the band is amazing.
