The Left shifter does a two step change, just as you stated. Although it isn't really a change. The reason is that the 1/2 shift moves the front derailleur across a bit, called trimming, so that when you are on the small chain ring and small cassette cog, the derailleur doesn't rub. The full shift is to go onto the big chain ring. Looks like a good bike for the price.

This looks like an excellent all-around bike. You mentioned 30 bls but how heavy is it with the accessories on it?

    Great practical ride.

Just ordered it and waiting for it to be delivered, I like the rear rack, do you have a to where you got it from? Was it too hard to install?

The bike has plenty or mounting points. Most racks will install with simply 4 bolts. Super easy.

Park Tool has great videos on dialing in shifting and more for dropbars

Can you provide links for the fenders and pannier rack?

The fenders are the SKS Bluemels 28-38mm. Though if I could do it again. I think I would have went with the lager 38-47 mm model. Because the stock tires are 40mm, and they just barely tuck under the fenders. They work though and look good.

Do you know the size of the frame?

Front derailleur rubs a little, still trying to dial it in....

Hi what fenders are those I have same bike

I went with the SKS Bluemels Mudguard 38mm. SKS makes a wider version of this model, and if I had to do it again. I would have went with the wider set. The tires on the bike are 40 mm and I'm barely able to tuck them under this fenders.

How tall are you? Im 6'2 and wondering if this bike will be too small?

    • @weekendwarrior5303
      @weekendwarrior5303  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm 5'11"
But I actually had to get a shorter stem because the reach was too long for me.

@chadtrips3203 Did you get this bike? How did it fit you at 6'2"? I'm thinking my brother could get this also. Any fitment adjustments you needed to make? Thanks

Ive got the same half step 'problem' on a cube with a 105 shimano shifter with 2 rings on the crankset, so it is not instrinsic to that mongoose only

  • @BicycleHoboo

That bike would be great. If they didn't use a freewhell and put a cassette on.

I've got 2 bikes - one with a cassete, the other one with a freewheel and I don't see any difference. The one with a cassette shifts faster and smoother but it is probably because it also has shimano 105 derailuers, not because the bike has a got a cassette

Everyone on youtube has it specced like this besides kev central. He has it specced just like the pictures. I kind of wish mine was like his brcause the tourney ao70 is not meant for a 34 tooth gear. And having full microshift is satisfying in a way. Im not sure why they're doing this but its weird.
