There desperately needs to be term limited set on the supreme Court to begin with but until then Biden will have to extend the supreme Court judges to accommodate more Liberal judges who will respect and abide by the constitution or things will never change even if Democrats hold the office, senate and house next year.

This SCOTUS is providing a fantastic case for why we should never vote for a conservative again, as if the confederacy wasn't obvious enough.

The only Supreme Court justice to have been impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives was Samuel Chase in 1804. However, he was acquitted by the Senate and remained on the Supreme Court. Since then, no Supreme Court justice has been impeached.
The judge is not GOD! He/she must follow the law (constitution). They're just doing whatever they want. I agree, the American people that agree should sue. Problem is, who's going to obligate them to pay? This is why we are moving away from democracy because of abuse of power. But no worries. It doesn't matter. No need to challenge my thoughts because at this point, the majority of people are who they are and have decided on whom they will vote for. It's useless to debate anything. We’re afraid. America was always to look as an example of justice working for everybody. Drug Cartel fought extradition on the thought of been put in an American Jail. It’s sad that people don’t understand that many of the dictators started by sweeting the ear of their followers just to later around become their victims. Why America don’t understand that the president work for the people, not the other way around. Feels like many rather seen America burnt than give an inch to people who think/look different. I’m hoping that one more time America show the world what you are made off.
This isn't done yet. When we vote out the magats and get rid of the extreme court and get things back on track we will not be embarrassed or humiliated. We will again be Americans who live in a democracy and will continue to fight to keep it that way.

I wonder if that occurred to them that the president could, with the power they were granting him, decide that a particular justice was in violation of the Constitution and therefore should be removed, by presidential fiat if necessary, since they thought it wise to effectively grant him that sort of authority. Remove Thomas and Alito, then Kavanaugh as a disgrace to the robes due to his drunkenness and and poor morals. Then Gorsuch for his acts of perjury before Congress. I would leave Conehead-Barrette and Roberts where they are. She is capable of being taught and can perhaps become the new version of Justice Anthony Kennedy. Roberts I would leave in place so he could get a first-hand view of all the damage he wrought being unraveled. I might demote him to Associate Justice and elevate perhaps Sotomayor to Chief. But him I want to have watch as the Voting Rights Act is restored to its original text, preclearance and everything. If you want off preclearance, prove that you have not only stopped racially entrenched legislation, but that you have no intention of engaging in it in the future. Citizens Divided is another that he needs to watch go on the trashheap of history along with Hobby Lobby. That will help get the corporations and the church out of politics. He must watch as Roe is returned as the law of the land, and he must watch as "absolute presidential immunity" is shut down and piled into the trash compactor of history as well.

Couldn't agree more. And the higher the office, the quicker the justice system should move toward removing the lawless individuals. With regard to the highest court in the land, we should not need to only use an "impeachment" proceeding, which might not lead to a conviction due to a high level of partisanship; allies in Congress or the Senate. If you are a corrupt judge, you are a criminal and should be tried in a federal criminal court facing a grand jury like any other citizen. My hope is that these (and future) SCOTUS justices who decide to morph the Constitution toward their own ends will quickly face the consequences in a Washington DC courtroom. Law and order, or authoritarianism; let's make the right choice in November. And let's start to reverse the ridiculous Roberts SCOTUS rulings as quickly as possible. Women's lives and the strength of our democracy is at stake!

Exactly! SCOTUS gave him the power of any presidential act. First should be to jail those 6 that voted that president is immune to all crimes. It’s blatantly unconstitutional for them to go against the constitution like that in this immunity ruling as well as the 14th amendment not disqualifying Trump. We will then be down to 3 justices for a while. Doubt that would lose Biden any votes and probably only makes him more popular.
I second that. Lawyers are getting wrapped around the axel on how to address a ruling that failed to interpret the constitution but rather invented an unconstitutional law. It violates their oath of office and must be overturned.

The SC (Supreme Court) decision to grant a president absolute immunity for official actions and presumed immunity out to the perimeter of their power is, of itself, a violation of our constitution.
1. There is nothing in our constitution granting a president immunity from criminal prosecution - "no man is above the law"
2. This SC ruled that a president enjoys absolute immunity for official acts, etc., and in doing so amended the constitution. They wrote a new protection into the constitution that was not there at all beforehand.
3. Only Congress has the authority to amend the constitution
4. Therefore, the ruling by the SC is itself un-constitutional and must be retracted

There is a process for amending the Constitution, give it a try. But it is incredibly cumbersome and difficult -- not impossible, though, it has been done several times.

For better or worse, the SC ruling only gave the president criminal immunity from prosecution, not special powers like firing the justices, dissolving congress, or canceling elections.
Can't do it with an Ex Order, The Constitution states that Justices "shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour." This means that the Justices hold office as long as they choose and can only be removed from office by impeachment. Has a Justice ever been impeached? The only Justice to be impeached was Associate Justice Samuel Chase in 1805.
