@@pundertalefan4391I like to think that would have been a story arc in season 2 if it was made: Hunter gets adopted by the Dalmatians and we get a few episode of the puppies learning to trust him (Dylan in particular).

Hunter is much more naive than Malfoy. Malfoy found killing more difficult in practice than in theory, Hunter found the idea that the Dalmatians would be killed for their fur horrific the second he heard about it.
I wander what going to happen when Hunter meets is biological cousin name Carlos DeVill and tells him to come to Auoradon Prep and meet his friends who has their situation about their parents and how they move on about it including Mal (Maleficent's daughter).
idk probably assumed they'd get a haircut or something. It's pretty obvious he was supposed to know, and then they changed their minds to make him more of a good guy. The writers didn't exactly put a lot of thought in this show.
I think he thought it was more of a sheep shearing sort of situation. He is a kid, so It sorta makes sense he’d not realize it was a killing sort of thing.
