It was awesome to be part of this event (I was on the build crew for the track) and watching trackside! Love the series, and can’t wait to see you guys up at Mid-Ohio!
Man I'm so glad IMSA is back...we are in for a great season. Aaaaaaand next year...holy sh@t is it gonna be good. I still miss GTLM but LMDh could be even better!!!
@@adamb3129 it's good racing...but usually in GTLM every car was capable of winning any race and all 6-10 cars would usually be within .5 of pole. Gtd pro has only had one race but most other GT 3 series aren't quite that competitive. But maybe more Pro teams will bring that so we'll see...but GTLM definitely had the best sounding cars that have ever raced sports car wise. The Porsche and Corvette (before the Vette was turned into a wanna be Ferrari) sounded absolutely incredible! But here's to great memories of GTLM and hopefully some great GtdPro and definitely some great LMDh and LMh racing in coming years
@@bizzlea887 The problem with GTLM/GTE was the cost. Last year there were only like 3 full time entries in IMSA. The price to run those cars was insane. Last year there wasn’t much competition
@@adamb3129 you shouldn't judge it off of last year just as I'm not judging GtdPro off one race. But also now that full factory teams are in GT3 don't you think they'll poor more money into their efforts than customer teams... even all pro customer teams.
@@bizzlea887 the thing with GT3 is that the cars are far more affordable than the GTLM/GTE cars. And really there are not many factory efforts in GTD Pro. What is there besides Corvette? GTLM had been dying the past few years same with GTE in WEC. GT3s get way more entries
yes lol, there is a bit of that right now! The officials are doing a great job though...I think it'll clean up as the year goes and we get to normal tracks as well
Phew! For a moment I thought it was the OTHER St Petersburg! I nearly unsubscribed in protest 🙄😅. Anyway, a glorious race, filled with drama and incident 🏆🏁
I hate getting out when the car is upside down or on it's side. I prefer it being flipped back over. I mean, after a couple flips one last settle isn't a big deal.
It always odd how when a driver with “Mazda” on their driver’s suit has contact in the race it’s “inconclusive” but the non-Mazda drivers always get penalized when it’s a Mazda driver that gets hit. Sad that politics play a part in what’s otherwise good racing.
@@SelinRollan sure as participants but what I’m talking about are the larger emblems that perhaps have been say Mazda contingency winners. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.
sorry, what shit move is that? the guy rolled over, then is asked to climb out by himself to not be properly examined, while all along it would have been easy to just get him out and have him checked. very very poor way of conduct.
They obviously had a conversation with him when he was overturned… both scenarios aren’t good, flip the car completely and risk causing more damage (if there was a head neck spine injury) or stabilize the car and have him climb out.
Thanks as always for the full race replays!
This is such a great series! Thanks Mazda for running this, thanks IMSA for having them as support and putting these full replays up.
Very proud of the IMSA EMR Safety Crew, that was amazing how fast and quickly they cleaned up the 1st lap carnage. Also thank-you IMSA for posting
What a great race! Nothing held back in that one, for sure!!!! Thanks to TH-cam for showing complete races!
Thank you for posting these replays a lot of fun to watch
Zilisch is going places, and not just the 2nd step of the podium. He's someone to keep in eye on.
Wow, I've never seen a roll in this series, glad the driver is alright! Love this series!
That was a great race! Thanks for posting the whole races. I can't wait to see them live at The Glen!
How about that rookie! And that coverage! Many thanks to all!
I'm a new fan. this is some of the most exciting racing I've seen. thank you
I really appreciate these race replays. Best motorsports league in the world!
Awesome, glad you are enjoying them!
Conor and Sam!!!!!! You guys are killing it!!!!! Great drive!!!!!!

Wow! Absolutely crazy!!
I love this series! 👏🏻
Great Race! Keep these replays coming 🙏🏽
Can't wait to see mx5 cup at RA!

This class remains one of the most entertaining races of the Grand Prix weekend each year in St Petersburg.
Varwig sideswiped the wall so many times that he must be an iRacer.
thank you for sharing!!
Cannot believe there was a flip.
Shout out to the marshals for the absolute SPEED they get incidents cleared up.
Sebring cannot come soon enough.
Coming from iRacing the sim races are very similar on the first turn.
Was Nunes penalized for getting into Piscitell? He finished fourth in the race but dropped from 2nd to 5th in the points.
He got points as if he finished 19th for some reason
the 1st corner was an iRacing Global Mazda low iR rating lobby lmao

21st to 2nd, wow
Yet another photo finish to decide a race
That’s why this series is amazing.

Confused me too. Why would GT America run outside America in Russia of all places at this exact time
But America is bad at naming things unique names

I'm here because of iRacing
Me too!!
Glad your'e enjoying both Justin. Its a super fun series on iRacing too.
Like it
hmmm championship standings say that Nunes only gained 120 points this race but he finished fourth (280pts)?
Bruno Carneiro should start to drive instead of waiving his finger around. Such a childish behaviour exhibited 3 times in a weekend.
Not in Russia….
Good shout.
@@imsaofficial thank you. I remember well from yesterday
First thing i did was look for this comment. Glad its in Florida lol.
@@catstr0nautCS2 yeah…I asked generally and the IMSA Official account responded that it was in Florida
Florida, oh thank god
Yeah…I started a massive shitstorm yesterday when I asked if this was in Russia or Florida…

They shouldn’t loudspeaker them. We can see what happens if we’re there. Your voice is not needed and it’s odd.
Turn off your volume, then. This is a series also presented on radio.
