Been waiting for a video on this exact topic from a TH-camr for a long time now, only to have it confirmed that it's all chance and you never know what Stat will be upgraded and which mods are actually worth it 😅 lol Thanks for the vid Calvin!
Had postponed a good mod cleanup for a while, started 5 mins ago and i already got a +21 golden one (ended up as a +26 at golden grey)! Also sold over 300 mods
With my current resources it's easier for me to slice purple than blue so I wouldn't slice a 3 hit blue 10 spd, personally. Also I've had a credit crunch for a while so I've only sliced 5 spd grays in the past but that crunch is starting to ease so maybe I can start bring in the 3s & 4s. Otherwise this is basically my approach as well :)
Your strategy and considertion for keeping mods with speed makes a lot of sense. I think too many "guides" these days focus on hyper-efficiency and how to get god-tier mods, but the reality is simply that (1) most players can't afford to trash everything that isn't god-tier and (2) most players NEED "perfectly acceptable" mods, not just god-tier mods. I see so many people saying oh if it's only hit 3-4 speed per hit by the time it's gone to blue, it's bad, you should trash it. EH? I'm with you, so what if it rolls (3) 5 times.... that's a 15 speed mod. I personally don't know a single person who couldn't benefit from that in some way, even if it's being put on leftover characters.
Appreciate your in depth review. I got a few comments saying that I was telling people to over invest in bad mods but you nailed it. Not every mod needs to be god tier.
I like the approach but how do you not run out of slicing materials constantly? Ive changed to being slightly harsher for earlier slices to try and maintain some slicing mats. How often are you farming mats vs mods or is it more just as and when its needed.
Thanks for your clear explanation. I’m at half your GP. My threshold is any speed at all to gold. After that, I must be much more selective. Maybe this approach is bad for the long run. But… what to do?
Hey Calvin. Thanks for the vid! Question for toons such as tanks, or heavy offensive units that don't want a lot of speed. (General Kenobi and Dark trooper?) Is it ever worth taking mods with lots of offense %/ health % hits to 6 dot - if they have low speed?
Hey Calvin, thanks for making this video. I think mods can be difficult for players to understand if they don’t engage in them regularly. While I think you are very liberal with your slicing, I understand your reasoning.
Green Mod: 7 speed
Blue Mod: 10 speed
Purple Mod: 10 speed in 2 hits
Gold Mod: 15 speed in 3 hits
This and the mod filter video you did have been very helpful. Cheers brah
Awesome to hear!

You got it!
That was Awesome, mod content is always awesome.
Glad you enjoyed it

i like the approach, time to get rid of ~200 junk mods in inventory !
Delete em!
Very good tip, in 5 minutes already felt my mod collection improved
Thank you!
This video and your last mod video have really helped my roster. Man, I've wasted so many mod upgrade materials....
Makes me happy man, glad to be of service

thanks for showing your routine, very interesting 👍
Thanks for watching!
My less nuanced but easier to remember rule of thumb is that a 5-dot mod gets two "strikes" (non-speed procs) and it's out (no further slices).

I just farm as needed, I do consistently run out of mats but that's just part of the process

Yeah you need to filter down more for sure.
Interesting, I'm pretty mich the same although a bit stricter with grey mods and will take 14 speed to 6e
Calvin love mods.

Offense definitely. I wouldn't do so for health just because the values aren't very good even at 6*
Great video, but I’m confused. In a previous video I thought you said only to slice if more than 60% slice quality?
That's for 6D+. Those resources are a lot more expensive/scarce
@@CalvinAwesome That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying Calvin. You are indeed Awesome 😁
Fire 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥.....waiting for when u go into flat base versus deí
Do you have minimum speeds for each level when you're exposing stats? Or do you just automatically expose all stats?
I do it automatically
Fire
Yes, keep farming those 25+ for Jar Jar 😜
That's the plan!

It's gotten my collection to where it is today, figured I'd share. Thanks for your support!
