That rod is my go to when I’m boarding party boats for deep drops and heavy Lead…It is a GLoomis Pro Blue 6’6…one was stolen from me so I had to buy another…been using those rods for over 15 years..They run around $400 but well worth it, I should have that rod until the end of time…It’s made with high end components and the backbone is impeccable…from a little porgy to the biggest cod, im bringing them up…The reel I used in this video was a back-up of mines…Avet SX series…they run around $300…they are good reels but feel more like a machine than fishing reel….I use Accurate reels over everything but I sent mines in for servicing and I’m waiting to get them back….some people think a fishing rod is a fishing rod or a reel is a reel and won’t spend the money for something more sea worthy and constantly end up buying new gear once their gear has failed…I can’t tell you how many $100 fishing reels I’ve ran through just to have to buy another one….if the rod or reel isn’t in the $300 or better range than it isn’t for me because I’ll end up breaking it fishing as hard as I do…Only exception to the $300 rule for me is any of the Tsunami rods…Tsunami in these past recent years have made some of the best “bang for your buck” items when it comes to fishing…Thanks for watching Danny 😎 STAY TUNED 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
