Wow! That video was really high quality and interesting. I've been playing osu! for about a year now and it's crazy how much harder it must be to get into the game nowadays since everyone seems to be so good. I'm at rank 50K now so I guess I wouldn't be considered an osu! noob but I still have a long way to go. Also I need to find out where I can get one of those osu! jackets. They need to start selling them on the website, maybe they could come with osu! supporter for a couple months or something too.
since pishi has featured IcePagoda's Timebomb set twice already (in this video and in Gens' interview video) could this be a hint that pishi is going to do an interview of the super legendary mapper IcePagoda himself soon? :eyes:
I noticed a few old mappers (and some new) making old style maps and got them ranked as of late like Gens and Fartownik. Is it only a coincidence or are these evil actions somehow organized?
@Ashton McIvor Why delete all progress? To draw inspiration from old maps and then present them in a modern manner is fine but repeating the old mistakes, no. And I still dont think they have much thought behind the structure, notes placed in a line, symetric patterns and squares because mappers wassnt experienced enough to use alternatives and it was easier to make symmetry look good. Its always been the same in every new game, players always sucked in the beginning and then the quality get higher year after year. Same in osu! and same in mapping. Just look at how the players evolved in skill, same thing happened to the mappers. Old mapping style is inferior to the new one that said, you can still make a good old style map but its going to be harder. Im curious if Kirby could map something diffrent or if the "old" style is his only style but thats up to him to prove. At least mappers like Net0 can make old style maps at decent quality, I can still dislike them but I wont complain about it.
wow, wish i found this video to kept my osu! playing in a kinda good spot 2012/2013 to hope a Kirby will come again but.... sadly would prob get flack for straying from the norm or something else dumb as hell. will DL his maps!
@@GodLandon most important osu maps? The only ones that I can think of off the top of my head are Highscore and Ooi, and there really isn't much about them other than the game-y hitsounding
