At some point, someone did a paint job no where close to the Farmall red. Looks more like an Allis Charmers orange

Were those new pistons aluminum?
So with pistons topped? does that increase compression ratio? compared to old ones.?

Pistons could be Aluminum Alloy, not sure.Sourced from Steiner tractor parts
The raised pistons increases the compression ratio for sure. I think there’s a video in Dan & Rachel Gingell’s channel, testing the increased compression ratio and increased horsepower on a similar farmall tractor
