My tip for this is that scanning the question, then close your eyes and focus on the content, staring at the answers might distract you a bit if you're not an excellent reader.
Wow it worked! I have 3 correct ... in the 1st Ques I lost my concentration that's y chosen the poor one... Thanks a lot Sir.
@@abdullahmamun4604 No problem! Btw, I'm a "Miss" not a "Sir"😄
@@layslifestyle2265 Ops! ☺

I really love your method of teaching. Thank you
Thank you alex your videos help me to improve my listening
Please make a video exclusively on match the column for listening which usually appears as a conversation between two individuals in either Section 2 or Section 3. Its very important
thanks for your beautiful elucidation, Alex! My scores in practice tests are improving with your strategies
Thank you so much, your videos are really helpful !
After trying too hard to get right answers for MC type of qs , here is what I have done. Whenever I get some time to check my answers and when I get time to look at questions for part 1 , I just went through the multiple choice qs and marked the keywords in both qs and answers. Now I start listening to those keywords and getting my answers right.
Thank you very much Alex!!
Thank you so much for this video. You are BRILLIANT :)
I followed the pro tips of reading only the question before listening carefully and then decide the answer in your mind. after that, go through the options and chose the right one. Don't let the distractors confuse you. Previously, I used to get carried away with the distractors and performed poorly in Sec 3. Now, I think I would be good to go.
omgg this helped me a too
Hi Alex! thanks for your great short lessons! I took 4 listening test of Cambridge, and scored in between 27-30. The multiple choice part is my BIGGEST weak point. If you can share a few other advises, it will mean a lot. My target score is 35.
Vai ki exam desan?
thanks for sharing, i love your teaching style
Thanks Alex... I have learnt a lot.... Its really very helpful
C is distractor bcz she said that technology in her history presentation distracted her message
A is distractor too bcz in her last presentation she found it hard as she was not able to handle .
C is correct answer bcz she said " she should aim bigger instead of rudimentary ....
You are awesome, guys!!! THANX for Help!

Superb explanation mam god bless u
thank you so much
Thanks 👍
Thank you for your help : )
All correct. Thank you
Thank you 🙏 so much !
Could you please recommend some tip on how to quicken the mental process of reading, understanding and getting ready to listen to answer as a non native's brain is definitely slow at processing all this and this is where most people lose. I guess they are not ready when the conversation gets started. The best solution to my mind is if IELTS allows a little extra time. What do you think.
Thank you 😎
Hey , I got all the answers correct 4 out of 4 ..Thank you
Nice teaching.
I got all correct ...... Please also cover map based questions :)
Madam I need more MCQ and maps for practice
Amazing techniques Thank you very much, mam.
This was very easy. Some tests are so difficult with long options and I feel distracted 😢😢
The trick is to focus on the question, and ignore the answer choices when reviewing them. After that, focus on the recording and understand what they're saying.
@@mdtsendon thank you
@@mdtsendon so you say all we have to do is to understand the recording
@@mdtsendon I also think so, first read the question, and know what exactly you have to find from the recording. And when you are listening to the recording find the possible answer from the recoeding and then read the given answers...
so helpful..thanks
Wow you are great maam
Just amazing 👏 Thanks 😊

I have 3/4 but i'm happy because i started study english on my own about 2 months ago ,and i speak spanish so i'm happy because i can understand a context,i'm sure that i will learn english very well,i 'm 16 years old
excellent.....
yo baby... it was tricky and hard but with ur guided videos was just easy for me
Thanku
Pro-tip: AVOID looking at the answers. Focus on the questions and understand them. The answers seem to serve as distractions if you read them before listening to the recording.
Once you understand the questions, listen to the recording and understand the answer in your own words. Carefully identify the distractors and let them finish their statements until they give definite answers. Once you understand it, go back to the answer choices and pick the right one.
I used to get my head overloaded with all of the answers when I first tried taking sample exams for listening. It really distracts you.
I also just wanted to say how helpful this video was for me. Struggling with listening sample tests, but this just made it easier for me. Finally got 4 out of 4 for this sample section, and I'm feeling more confident about listening sample tests.
Thank you so much for your tip.
Won't it be difficult not highlighting the answers? Because in multiple choice, I always strive to highlight keywords of all options as much as possible, wasn't it helpful?
Thank you, I will try
Thanks for the tip..it actually worked..I got all correct.. I will try to practice more without looking at the answers. I actually figured out why I make mistake, it's because I read the answers which consume all my time and makes me confused.
@@asadbek106 I think the time pressure is the problem here. You don’t have that luxury because the recorded audio goes on continuously, and highlighting might distract you. Talking about the actual exam.
Sorry I didn’t realize there were responses here.
4/4 thankyou for ur tips mam
thank you
Thank you E2 team ....I got an overall band score of 7.5 with only a week of preparation ...thank you so much.
#24) Jamie in the end says she could have aimed a bit higher 😎👍 and that makes 'B' the right answer. 😊
Vinayak Nilajkar
Can you please elaborate this.
Still I didn’t get it
I thought it was A.
She gave it away towards the very end of the conversation.. she said I wished I aimed a bit higher... professor said something like keep it in mind for the next time.. she replied yeh a good lesson I guess. So the next time she will aim higher.. thus more ambitious
Thanks
Thank u so much
She mentioned she could have Aimed for higher this time..( means she could have been more ambitious which is an indirect meaning to aim higher) a paraphrasing worked here may be..
Same! Answer B because I heard she said "I wish I'd aimed a bit higher"
Wow!
Just unbelievable! Thanks a lot for the lesson on 'Multiple Choice'. I started not to make any mistakes after your explanation!
Great content
