I repaired the starter by cutting a 1/2" piece of 1" copper pipe coupling and pressing it over the collar of the starter rope spool in a vise. Then I pressed the metal piece back in the center. The fit is so tight no rivets or epoxy needed.
They needed parts. Good video. Mine leaks with the pumper in. & it seems like the thing the spring goes in is loose or wobbly. & leaks even if you don’t push down the plunger Any help. Thanks. Where did you get parts …..
Nice video content, thank you ! If the Oiler T tube broken (becouse was old ) how can be fixed this ? Fuel tank also broken inside ( the sperator Wall ) and I need to fix it, can I open it and somehow glue back together the broken pieces?
Haven't touched 1 of those in 35 years. Got 4 in the shop. Always hated that the handle/trigger would pinch. A bit more teardown than the XLs but not too bad a saw, loud tho.
is that tank repair kit still available? You said it was for pretty much all of that type of tank, so is it safe to assume it would work on a Mac eager beaver 2.0?
Great video! I have a Mini Mac 25 and just replaced the manual oil pump and hoses. I reattached the spring on the rod but cannot see any oil being pumped out to the chain. I am getting a small leak under the saw. Is it possible that the oil line is plugged up and the oil ends up at the bottom of the saw? I saw at the end of your video that your manual pump had oil running out the side of the saw. I am getting nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
What size bar does the 30 take? just bought one off ebay to restore and having a hard time finding specs. It runs everything is there except the bar and chain.
I got a mini mac 35 that had no spark. Cleaned the points and got spark back. Put it all back together for the 5th time and got no spark again! Ugh!... Ive been told these little saws run really good when everything is working properly but i have had to take it apart and put back together about 5 times now. They are the worst to work on and reassemble. THE WORST!
I’m about to modify the fuel tank to fit a screen type-hose barb filter, as I cannot find a felt-type fuel filter for this old saw. Looks like you have new filters for the mac mini! Where do I buy one?
Someone must have cleaned that thing before they put it away becuase every single mini mac i have ever opened has been completely fudge packed with saw dust and bar oil. Love my mini macs though. I got a 25, 35, 110, 120, and a fury eager beaver 2.0. I use to use them for climbing. But now I use my battery powered huskvarna and stihl top handles. Never going back. I repeat never going back to gas power saws for climbing.
Thanks for taking the time to record this. It helped me get my saw repaired.
Cool little saw, I think I'll be looking out for one soon 🙈
Almost makes me wanna dig out my mini Mac parts and put it together again...almost!

Where did you find the vented gas & oil tank caps ?

Did nothing on the carbi or how to adjust the idle/hi/lo screws or points box so for 50 minutes worth it was pretty average
Another great job. And so fast.
