As much as I agree, April Fools has been one of those things with Adult Swim where they see it as an opportunity to tease certain things. Sure, they do make jokes now and then (remember Adult Swim Jr?), but they sometimes take these opportunities to tell these intriguing little plots based on whatever it is they're working on. And given ol' Pibs initially came from a short, and is now showing up in these teaser/easter eggs? That tells me this ain't just a big ol' prank.

If you didn't know what the Eric Andre show was you would probably just think that their bit was a part off the LWP teasers. But no that is genuinly what happened in the show, just distorted.
I know this question may be stupid, but why is Pibby only on the AS original shows? Maybe they didn't bother showing Pibby on the acquired shows. American Dad also counts as an Adult Swim (and TBS) original show because it's been on them since 2014.
