I to have been strangely obsessed with this song for a while.
A National Treasure in its own right. Exquisite, Raw, Honest, and Revealing. Magnificent!
Thank you for such beauty. Sun Ra lives forever.
Completely obsessed with this song right now. Brilliant rendition.
Love in outer space Live for the Comet Kohoutek is a great rendition
Some thick tears ran over my cheeks. The most remarkable theme I ever listened to. Peace.
I keep coming back to this recording with these tears like I've had a life changing moment, only Sun Ra compositions have made me feel this way
This might be my favorite Sun Ra composition
This touches me. I think of the man himself when listening to this. You can feel his presence in his absence. It's amazing.
& June & John & the others too
Yes U can and Yes He is!🥰🎶🥰🌅🎇🎆🌅🥰🎶🥰
especially his plinky organ adding the stardust on top✨
Great Observation...Sun Ra lives in his music
I would like 2 thank Marshall 4 keeping Ra, Musical traditions alive. Beautiful
Yessssszzzzz !!!!🎭⚘🎭⚘🎭
Is that the voicalist?
I know Sun Ra created a lot of music but this just touches me, I just love this slice of Music.
WONDERFUL version of the classic track , there are no words to express the feeling of this .
(In the description) Jonathan Gilmore - assistant engineer. The legendary tenor sax - John Gilmore.
Ra mischief at play...
Saw Shabaka playing with the Arkestra at Cafe Otto and he soared to new heights as he duetted with the might Marsh. he should play with them a lot more.
Beautiful version! I miss seeing the Arkestra live.
I was lucky to see them twice, sweet craziness!
That is really something good.
One word, Beautiful 😍❤️
Toooooo Toooo Beautiful!!!🌅🌅🌅🕊❤🕊🌅🌅🌅
I wish I could make music like this. Sun Ra is my favorite composer.
No one can sound like Sun Ra though there's a Universe of possibilities, emotions, visions, architecture, other music, including what's included here with the Arkestra. I would love to hear what you come up with.
What a totally awesome piece of music...
Absolutely brilliant
Greatest Sun Ra!
God bless you for keeping up the good work more beautiful than ever.
really great version.....[ dont wait to leave your mark,] SUN RA left his, not the same with out him. a lesson in time.... in vision, a dream....what remains is the love ! Sun Ra , I love you where ever you are residing now , Thank you ...PEACE
I could listen to this song every day.
Fantastic!
absolutely brilliant!
Absolutely sublime!
Beautiful rendition~~~
Thank you for preserving and posting this gem.
sitting here upset that i never heard of this guy and this wonderful band. at times the music sounds real chaotic but somehow it works out and becomes very pleasant
That's SunRa's "point", the "Chaos is Order, the Order of Chaos" 🎶🌅🎶🌅🎶🎭
Don't be upset. Your hear (here). That's all that matters, no ones keeping tabs on the Higher Plane.
You can feel the Love 💕😘
I was Blessed to Witness Sun Ra and His Sun Ra Intergalactic Arkestra when his was in this Realm of Existence approximately ten times---and the Concerts were Awesome and Out of this World. Now the Sun Ra Intergalactic Arkestra still playing the direction of the Great Saxophone Player--Marshall Allen. A Concert you must Experience! It would be helpful to smoke some Good KayaHerb toexpand your Brain to their Level in Space--(: Smile :)--but I am serious, too. I was Blessed to Sun Ra when his was in this Realm of Existence--and the Concerts were Awesome and I was Blessed to Sun Ra when his was in this Realm of Existence--and the Concerts were Awesome and
Carrying on the good work!
Fabulous.
They Kill on this!!!!!!
🤗🤗😍😍
Sublime....
Even Sunny's version of "My Favorite Things" is special.
yes shabaka
Marshall Allan is about to turn 99 and for his birthday he is going to conduct the Arkestra, how the fuck he is managing to still conduct at 99 is completely beyond me
What's the name of the instrument MarShall Allen( guy to the farthest left) is playing toward the end.... sounds like sound efx and real graphicy
+John Cokely It's called an EVI (an electronic valve instrument made by Steiner, Crumar company
THANKS
AAAAAGH!!! Whatever happened to Jazz on 3?
💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
Reminds me of Pound For A Brown...
The room seems too small for holding such band of stature like Sun Ra Arkestra
too funny for words.....i keep reading the shekere player as a devilish clown and no mere oblivious fool . Or his narcissism is really some delightful daemonic possession caused by some miraculous thing Sun Ra revealed to him. Never fails to make me crack up. Very funny indeed. And just goes to show telepathy doesn't always work although they trying!!
It's knoell Scott... Who's played with Ra since the 70s. He seemed to encourage his players to be "extra" as a "terrestrial" band
he's deliberate on Sun Ra's part, was his sense of humour. The clown has some real balls for still blowing his sax solo though because by 4.28min the rest of the band is ready to shred him
Sounds like a high school.
Move on with your corny tasteless Ass
H.S. on the level of tone scientists!!! composition and execution not even.
@@plumjade4584 you're seeing complexity from a crowd of simplicity
